Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Arbeitsverfahren zur Verringern der Wanddicke am Endes eines in ein Schrägwalzwerk einzuführenden Hohlblockes, zwecks Vermeiden von Rohraufweitungen an den Enden der schräggewalzten, insbesondere dünnwandigen Rohre. Dabei wird die Verringerung der Wanddicke des Hohlblockendes auf eine im wesentlichen dem schräggewalzten Rohr entsprechende Wanddicke in einer dem Schrägwalzwerk nebengeordneten Einrichtung vor dem Einlegen des Hohlblockes in das Schrägwalzwerk vorgenommen.
