Definitions
- the invention relates to an odor trap for a Drain pipe, in particular for the drain pipe of a wash basin, a shower tray or the like.
- a drain pipe is usually used as a drain trap Pipe section formed as an S or U-shaped siphon.
- a U-shaped section of the siphon can draining water stop, making a gas-tight Closure of the drain pipe is reached.
- the trained s or U-shaped siphon a minimum size to order for the Odor trap to provide a sufficient volume of water.
- the U or S-shaped tube is bent of the siphon so that it has a certain height having.
- This height can be under a sink or under a sink can still be easily arranged, however occurs in the arrangement of such a siphon pipe a shower tray or under a bathtub a space problem such that the available space in particular only very limited in terms of its height for the arrangement is sufficient.
- the shower trays Desired shower tray designs that differ from that Floor of a bathroom, for example, doesn't raise too much the entry into a shower cabin equipped with the shower tray to facilitate.
- the invention has for its object an odor trap to show the genus mentioned at the beginning, which on the one hand Closure of the drain line by dirt and other substances reliably prevented and on the other hand only a small one Has size.
- This object is according to the invention by an odor trap solved, which is characterized by at least sectionally elastic, the cross section of the drain pipe in Drainage direction up to the closing constricting closing element.
- the odor trap according to the invention has a closing element on, which closes the drain pipe. Through this closure the drain pipe is reliably achieved that no smell the drain pipe in the sink or in a shower tray can exit the room in which these sanitary facilities are installed.
- the odor trap according to the invention is a U or S-shaped Section of the drain pipe not required. Much more is the arrangement of the closing element, for example, in one vertical drain pipe sufficient to make the odor-proof Ensure completion of the drain pipe. Since that Closing element is designed to be elastic, the draining Water easily through the closing element and thus through the Push the odor trap through as a whole. In the event that Water flows through the trap, it will elastic closing element by the mass of the water so far expanded that a closure of the drain pipe is lifted and the water can drain through the drain pipe. By doing Pollutants carried in water are also thereby passed the elastic closing element. Sharp edges or corners where there may be dirt can get stuck or get stuck are with the odor trap according to the invention is not provided.
- the drain pipe As a siphon to train. It is also advantageously not necessary that Drain pipe is aligned vertically.
- the drain pipe can also be different, for example obliquely or horizontally, whereby the operation of the invention Odor trap is not affected.
- a drain pipe can be arranged below a shower tray, the immediately after its approach to a water outlet opening in the bottom of the shower tray, for example, a 90 ° bend having. Following this bend, the Odor trap according to the invention in a horizontal position be aligned parallel to the shower tray floor.
- the construction height this drain pipe is very small due to the kink, so that a shower tray to which a drain pipe with the odor trap according to the invention is applied accordingly flat and therefore easy to train.
- the closing element is conical in sections has a narrowing plate hose.
- a flat tube is like this trained that its hose walls lie flat against each other, whereby the flat tube is odor-proof.
- the odor trap is conical in sections trained, d. H. its tube walls approach each other gradually until flat in another section lie together.
- the plate hose is in the drain pipe preferably arranged so that water flowing out over the conical section of the flat tube into the flat tube occur and in the further course of its extension can flow through it. Due to the conical shape a section of the plate hose is the entry of the draining water and especially the entry into it Water carried pollutants relieved.
- conical section In continuation of the conical section can also be flat adjacent tube walls of the flat tube separate from each other and drain the water ensure after the water has drained completely lay the flat tube walls in the non-conical Section due to the elasticity of the flat hose again flat against each other, creating an odor-proof closure is trained.
- the width of the plate tube is preferred approximately equal to the inside diameter of the drain pipe, so that the Flat tube with full expansion of the inner diameter of the drain pipe is only minimally restricted.
- the flat hose is in one with an odor trap drain pipe to be equipped arranged in a suitable manner.
- the closing element has a Neck on the one end of the free hose to System is drawn up on the outside of the nozzle.
- the flat hose inside the drain pipe in a simple manner to arrange. To do this, first place the flat hose on the nozzle pulled up, with the flat tube walls close to the Place the outside of the nozzle. Because of this wind up the nozzle is also a section of the flat hose, and that is, the section immediately adjacent to the nozzle connected section adjoins, conical, because the walls of the Flat hose together due to its elasticity lay flat. The transition to the abutment of the walls However, it does not take place in steps, but rather from the nozzle gradually.
- the nozzle with the flat hose pulled onto it is then can be arranged in a drain pipe. It is intended that the Outside diameter of the nozzle is slightly less than that Inner diameter of the drain pipe is.
- the difference in diameter between nozzle and drain pipe is dimensioned such that the Use the flat hose that is attached to it to connect it to the Drain pipe can be used, the plate hose then also so that it lies flat against the inside walls of the drain pipe all draining water is led through the hose is.
- the nozzle at the free end over which the flat hose is not pulled onto it a circumferential one radial overhang.
- the nozzle with the drain pipe in an advantageously simple manner, for example with one inside the drain pipe arranged projection are brought into a flat system. It is also possible to use the nozzle with its radial projection into the free end of a pipe section of a drain pipe use, then another pipe section with larger diameter and a locking screw and is attached. A retrofit of drain pipes is possible.
- the flat tube is made of an elastic material, for example made of silicone.
- the walls of the plate tube are dimensioned in terms of their wall thicknesses so that a flat Laying these walls together by their own elasticity is guaranteed.
- the flat tube has, for example Length of about 15 to 20 cm on, the nozzle on which the Flat hose is pulled in sections, for example a length of about 5 cm.
- the drain pipe 1 shown in sections in Fig. 1 includes two pipe sections 2, 3. At the free end 10 of the pipe section 2 is an external thread 4, on which one on the Pipe section 3 pushed on union nut 5 by means of a Internal thread 6 can be screwed on.
- the pipe sections 2, 3 are thus can be assembled into the drain pipe 1.
- the closing element comprises a plate tube 7 and a nozzle 8.
- the nozzle 8 is cylindrical.
- the Flat hose 7 drawn on the nozzle 8 the Walls of the plate tube 7 on the outside of the connector 8 invest.
- the plate tube 7 is in his immediate to the Connection 8 adjoining area is conical.
- the nozzle 8 has at its free end, through which Flat hose 7 is not drawn, a circumferential radial Projection 9 on.
- the projection 9 is at the free end 10 of the Pipe section 2 can be placed and at the same time on the free end 11 the pipe section 3, which also with a projection is provided, attachable. That from socket 8 and plate hose 7 trained closing element of the invention Odor trap is thus essentially in the pipe section 3 arranged, for which it is inserted into this.
- the embodiment in Fig. 2 shows that a Odor trap according to the invention not only vertically extending drain pipe 1, but also in a drain pipe 1 can be arranged that a bend or kink having.
- the drain pipe 1 in Fig. 2 has a curved Pipe section 12 on which a straight pipe section 13 connects.
- the curved pipe section 12 is at one Drain opening 15 of a shower tray 14 partially shown scheduled.
- the straight pipe section 13 runs approximately parallel to the bottom of the shower tray 14.
- Closing element consisting of socket 8 and plate hose 7, arranged.
- the odor trap according to the invention causes with his Closing element a complete closure of the drain pipe 1.
- this can be done via the conical section of the Plate hose 7 enter the plate hose 7 and the walls of the flat hose 7 expand so far that the water without Congestion runs through the plate tube 7.
- Contaminants carried in water can damage the flat hose 7 happen.
- the walls are laid of the flat tube 7 to each other again (Fig.3), so that the Odor trap is restored. Training a Siphons are not required, in particular Fig. 2 shows that the height of the odor trap according to the invention very much is low, so that it is particularly suitable for a drain pipe 1 Fig. 2 shown shower tray 14 is suitable.
