- the male tool joint 8 comprises an externally threaded portion 9, an internal shape 10, suitable to allow the proper motion of the fluid, a stop surface 11 , against which the section 20 to be welded is to be placed, a coupling surface 12 for said section and it is characterized by a cavity 13, whose volume and shape are such as to be completely filled with the inner flash produced by the welding process. Consequently the complete and perfect filling of the cavity avoids the formation of the middle notch.

Abstract
Tubes de forages soudés destinés à être utilisés dans le génie civil et procédé associé permettant l'élimination du bourrelet interne. Lesdits tubes, fabriqués par soudage par friction des tronçons de tube et des raccords de tube, se caractérisent par l'élimination du bourrelet interne (qui ressort du raccord soudé) qui remplit une cavité prévue à cet effet. Les avantages de ce nouveau produit et dudit procédé de fabrication sont l'élimination des perturbations de la dynamique des fluides à l'intérieur du tube, provoquées par le bourrelet interne, et l'élimination des amorces de fissures dues aux sollicitations de fatigue du raccord soudé.
