Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hospital gown for a patient comprising a back part and front part assembled according to two lateral connections and according two links extending from the shoulder to the end of the sleeve, at least one of these connections being designed at least partially removable by means quick coupling assembly members arranged along said connection the front part having an opening allowing access to part of the body, said opening being closed by at least one flap, at least part of which is connected to the blouse by quick coupling assemblies, the edge upper part of this flap corresponding to the neckline of the blouse.
- Coats of this type are used in hospitals to dress people ill.
- the dorsal part is made in two sections symmetrical which are fixed by any known attachment means, such as links or snaps.
- Some models of patient coats have only a few links or buttons at the top of the back, which means that when the patient is standing, the sides of the dorsal part of the blouse move apart, revealing the rear part of his body.
- attachment means used to assemble the two sides of the back part are buttons or presses, the patient who is bedridden in permanence can feel them in his back and experience some discomfort.
- the blouse described in document US-A-4,422,186 includes a dorsal part and front part assembled by two lateral links and two upper links extending from the shoulder to the end of the sleeve, these two upper links being produced by quick coupling assembly members allowing access to the patient's shoulders and neck by folding down the entire area upper part of the front.
- This type of opening has the disadvantage of discovering the patient over an area extending well beyond the intervention area. Moreover, the opening is limited in the height direction and does not allow reaching easily the patient's torso and abdomen. This solution is therefore not satisfactory.
- the present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a blouse hospital for patient who respects his privacy and ensures his comfort and which allows facilitate handling by nursing staff, in particular by promoting access quick to the chest to perform emergency gestures.
- the invention relates to a blouse of the kind indicated in the preamble, characterized in that the opening has an inverted T shape and is closed by two flaps symmetrical, these flaps being arranged to open along an axis of pivoting parallel to the median axis of said blouse.
- the quick coupling assembly members can be arranged along at least one of said links extending from the shoulder to the end of the sleeve, the lateral connections being made by sewing or along at least a link extending substantially from the shoulder to the elbow, the link of the rest of the sleeve and the side connections being made by sewing.
- the dorsal part may comprise two panels assembled in a vertical connection and provided with quick coupling assemblies arranged along said connection vertical.
- Said quick coupling assembly members can be chosen from the group comprising buttons, press studs, contact closures, staples.
- the hospital gown for patient 31 includes a back part (not shown) and a front part of identical shape and stackable. Each part is made up in a single piece substantially in the shape of a T, to constitute the body 2 and the two sleeves 3.
- a neckline 4 is provided between the shoulders 5.
- the dorsal and front are superimposed and assembled according to two lateral connections 6 extending from below the sleeve 3 at the lower end of the body 2 and along two connections 7 extending from the shoulder 5 to the end of the sleeve 3.
- the lateral connections 6 are produced by sewing.
- the two links 7 are provided with snaps 8 arranged at equal distance from shoulder 5 to the end of the sleeve 3.
- the nursing staff can easily put on the of the gown by putting it on by the head or by the feet and sliding it along the body to put it in place. It only remains to connect the shoulders 5 and the sleeves 3 by closing the snaps 8. Therefore, the patient does not have to be pulled up to tie the blouse on the back and it is not bothered by buttons that could bruise her back.
- the dorsal part being in one piece, there there is no risk of the body being exposed when the patient is standing.
- caregivers can quickly discover the area to be treated by opening one or more snaps 8, without having to raise the sleeve or remove it completely.
- snaps may also be arranged along the lateral connections 6 so that the dorsal and front portions are fully separable.
- This variant can be used for patients fully immobilized: the back part is placed on the bed, the patient is lying on top and is covered with the front part which is then assembled to the part Ridge. The patient is thus dressed without having to make the slightest gesture.
- the dorsal part is vertically separated in the center by two panels, which can be connected by means of snaps or other assembly members, in a known manner.
- the blouse can slip on very easily through the front and through the sleeves. The connections of shoulders and sleeves will simply be opened when changing the blouse for the passage of infusion bottles or devices.
- the opening 39 consists of two symmetrical flaps 39a, 39b opening along a pivot axis parallel to the median axis of the blouse 31.
- the flaps 39a, 39b are formed by cutting the fabric of the blouse 31 in the shape of an inverted T. This form of cutting is particularly simple and not very expensive to make. The inverted T cut can be longer, so that the flaps open up to the abdominal level.
- Velcro® type contact closures 35 are arranged along the edges of the flaps 39a and 39b in order to removably connect these edges to the front part and between them.
- the upper edge of the flaps 39a, 39b corresponds to the neck 34 of the blouse 31 so that access to the torso for emergency procedures is very easy and fast.
- the flaps 39a, 39b can be opened by the nursing staff to allow access to the area to be treated without having to remove the entire gown.
- the nursing staff can leave the devices in place keeping the more or less open flap and without the patient being undressed.
- this blouse is particularly suitable for resuscitation services since the flaps 39a, 38b can be opened very easily thus releasing very quickly the area of the body where it is necessary to intervene without waiting.
- snaps or contact closures can be replaced by any other quick coupling assembly device such as buttons or staples. It is also possible to place closures by contact where press studs are provided and vice versa. On the other hand, the number of assembly members is not limited to the examples described.
- the blouse according to the invention is provided in child and adult size and will be produced in a material suitable for the hospital environment, for example a cotton-polyester blend.
- the patient gown according to the invention allows both compliance with the patient comfort and modesty, saving time and ease of handling, intervention and better access to care areas for nursing staff.
