Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a timepiece comprising at minus an hour display and a minute display, at least one of these displays presenting an indicator capable of moving on time divisions plotted in an arc on a dial.
  • the watch described in document DE-A-296 07 071 includes a display says retrograde of the minute and a display of the hours advancing in steps.
  • the watch proposed in the document CH-A-33 813 has a retrograde time display and a time display the minute using one or two discs.
  • the watch is characterized by a hand hours moving in front of the hour divisions which are plotted in arc of a circle on the dial, this needle suddenly returning to the first division when it reached the last division, it remained there sixty minutes.
  • the minutes are indicated on at least one moving part moving under the dial and visible through at least one opening of the dial.
  • the needle moves one division on the dial until, arriving on the number 12 and being there remained one hour, the beak of a rack meshing with a pinion carrying the needle, has reached the place of a cam where the radius is maximum. At this moment the beak suddenly falls on the part of the cam having the smallest radius, which causes the needle to suddenly return to the number 1 of the hour division of the dial.
  • a spring constantly presses against the rack so as to constantly press its beak against the cam.
  • a display device has already been proposed in CH 165551 whose hourly divisions each extend over the outside and inside edges of a window respectively in an arc of 180 ° formed in the dial, opposite which moves a disc carrying two diametrically indexes opposite one of which points outwards and the other inward, so that only one of these indexes successively moves opposite the two divisions.
  • the index out of service can also be retracted under a portion of the dial. Reading such a device is not very immediate and requires a certain habit since it always determine in which direction points the index finger.
  • FR 647409 Another pseudo-retrograde display has been proposed in FR 647409. It has a sector graduated in 60 divisions opposite which move three successively to four arms each carrying an hour digit each. These arms are rotated each on an arm from a three star branches, trained at the rate of one turn in 3 hours. An ankle is placed in the trajectory of the three mobiles, so that each of the three turns a quarter turn mobile at each turn of the star, so as to change the number of hours which moves in relation to the graduated sector in minutes.
  • this device already offers to do turn the indexes a quarter of a turn, it does not disclose the idea of neutralizing indexes when they are outside the sector graduated, these indexes, in this case, being hidden by the dial when not in use. But above all, this device offers no means of locking the three mobile, so that if one of them turns unexpectedly, the display is completely out of adjustment and requires intervention a repairman.
  • the object of the present invention is a timepiece comprising a minute display device of the type pseudo retrograde as defined by claim 1.
  • each indicator with two diametrically indexes opposite is attached to an eight-pointed star which is positioned by a jumper. So in addition to locking ensured by the fixed cam, the jumper avoids the friction of the branches of the star against the cam fixed, thereby removing a friction source, causing sensitive loss of energy, since it occurs constantly.
  • the timepiece of the invention includes an hour display 1 and a minute display 2.
  • One of these displays has an indicator 3 capable of moving on 4 divisions of time drawn in an arc on a dial 5.
  • the invention is not limited to what has just been said. So the timepiece could it also display the second and the date for example.
  • each of the hour and minute displays could consist of an indicator likely to move over divisions of the time plotted in an arc on a dial.
  • the timepiece of the invention is original in that it includes a device 6 driven by the movement it contains. This device will be explained in detail lower. Very generally, said device comprises a rotating disc 7 always in the same direction and preferably clockwise.
  • This disc carries on its periphery a first indicator 8 and a second indicator 9 which are diametrically opposed. These indicators are achieved and ordered in such a way that when one of them (this is the case of indicator 8 in figure 1 points to divisions 4 of dial 5, the other indicator (this is the case of indicator 9 in Figure 1) is retracted. So each indicator alternately presents a first period during which it indicates the time and a second period during which it is without effect.
  • the timepiece of the invention offers a display extending over an arc without being properly says a retrograde display known to abruptly bring the indicator back to its starting point, since the indicator of the invention always turns in the Same direction.
  • the display of the invention may relate hour display or minute display or both displays together.
  • the timepiece has a time display of 1 comprising a disc 10 on which the numbers 11 of the hours are affixed, these figures appear in turn through a counter 12 operated in dial 5.
  • This is a construction known per se.
  • This display at hours disc could be replaced, subject to certain modifications constructive, by a classic display with hour and minute hands.
  • the timepiece also has a 2 minute display including the device of the invention equipped with indicators 3 evolving on a bearing dial sixty one minute divisions 4 spanning a semicircle.
  • the disc 7 carrying the first 8 and second 9 indicators 3 is integral with a wheel 13, this wheel 13 being connected to the disc 7 by a barrel 42. This wheel is driven by the movement of the timepiece, according to a kinematic chain not shown, so that you can go around in two hours.
  • the first indicator 8 comprises two indexes 14 and 15 arranged in opposition and the second indicator 9 has two indexes 16 and 17 also arranged in opposition.
  • Each of the indicators 8 and 9 is pivotally mounted in a peripheral area of the disc 7.
  • the indicator 8 is integral with a shaft 18 which crosses the disc 7.
  • a cross from Malta 20 with four branches 22 is fixed to the shaft 18 under the disc 7. From even, the indicator 9 is integral with a shaft 19 which crosses the disc 7.
  • a Maltese cross 21 with four branches 22 is fixed to the tree 19 under the disc 7.
  • the Maltese crosses 20 and 21 cooperate with a single fixed cam 31 which carries two fingers 23 and 24. Fingers 23 and 24 are arranged to train the Maltese cross and the indicator associated with it in a rotation a quarter turn each time an indicator is passed over a finger.
  • FIG. 1 clearly shows, when the first indicator 8 points by its index 14 on time divisions 4, the second indicator 9 is retracted.
  • the second indicator 9 will point by its index 16 to the 4 divisions of time and the first indicator 8 will be retracted.
  • Figure 3 shows that the cam 31 with two fingers 23 and 24 is screwed onto a ball bearing R of the canon 50. It can also be seen that the disc 7 overcomes the cam 31 and that the everything is covered by the cover 30. The wheel 13 attached to the cam 7 by through the cannon 42, makes a turn in two hours and is driven by the timepiece movement.
  • the section of fig 3 and the plan view of Figure 4 show that on the barrel 42 is mounted freely another cannon 50 itself driven into a plate 51.
  • a star 32 with twelve teeth.
  • This star 32 carries the disc of hours 10 to which the numbers 11 of hours are affixed.
  • the star 32 is indexed by a jumper 33 on which a spring 52 rests.
  • a lever 35 articulated at 53 carries a retractable pawl 34 capable of cooperating with the teeth of the star 32.
  • On the lever 35 supports a spring 36. This lever 35 still wears a finger 37 cooperating with a spiral cam 38 making one tour in one hour.
  • Figure 4 shows that when the finger 37 falls into the hollow of the spiral 38, the pawl 34 pushes a tooth of the star 32 and advances the hour disc 10 by one step. Then, by turning, the spiral 38 releases the pawl 34 from the toothing of the star 32 to be ready, an hour later, push star 32 again and advance the disc 10 of an hour.
  • the Maltese crosses 20 and 21 have been replaced respectively by eight-pointed stars which cooperate with the fingers 23 and 24 to ensure the rotational drive of indicators 8 and 9 of a quarter turn each time one of fingers 23 and 24 passes.
  • the stars are moreover kept in position by two long necks S secured to the disc 7 when they are not trained.
  • this alternative embodiment allows the manufacture of the cam 31 with wider tolerances on the concentricity which simplifies its manufacture.
  • the presence of S long chains accelerates the changes of positions of indicators 8 and 9 and stabilizes them in their positions after each change of position.
