Definitions
- the invention relates to a connector of an aircraft power supply device for on-board power supply to aircraft, comprising a housing which is divided in the longitudinal direction into at least two sections, of which a first section has cylindrical first contact elements as the front part of the housing, which is socket-shaped or sleeve-shaped on the receptacle side are and facing away from the connector receptacle can be detachably connected to cylindrical second contact elements, such as plug sleeves, which start from the second section of the housing forming a rear part, in which the second contact elements are connected to wires of a cable and are cast after connection, wherein the housing front part consists of an outer shell body and a detachably arranged in this with hollow cylindrical receptacles for the first contact elements.
- multi-core cables with connectors are used, which are inserted into an on-board connector receptacle that contains contact pins.
- 200 V or 112 V / 400 Hz supply voltage and direct voltage (28 V) for feedback are preferably transmitted via the cables and the plug connectors.
- the connectors of known on-board power supplies each have a housing Bores in which electrically conductive, cylindrical bodies are arranged, the connected on the inside of the housing with multi-core cables and at their free outer ends as Bushes are designed to receive the contact pins.
- the one in the connector inserted ends of the supply lines can be fixed to the electrically conductive be cylindrical bodies, the free space after assembly with a Potting compound is poured out.
- the connector housings are often despite their Robustness in particular on the front end face by z. B. Falling damaged, so that further use is not possible. It also happens that the sockets themselves to be damaged.
- the supply cable is just behind the connector cut off, then the wires in a new connector firmly with the connect cylindrical body formed as bushings in the front free end.
- the known connectors run between the front of the housing -back part a step (DE 36 07 753 A1, DE 86 06 435 U1), which when rolling over the Can cause the housing to break.
- a connector for an aircraft power supply device can be found in EP 0 236 923 B1.
- the first contact elements are detachable in the first housing section are arranged. Damaged contacts can be exchanged in a very short time, and damage can be remedied, particularly when used on an airfield on site without having to put up with long downtimes.
- a corresponding plug can also have a pilot contact in order to check whether the connector is properly arranged in a connector receptacle or not.
- a connector with a number of arranged in an insulating body
- Contact sockets and contact elements designed as switches the switch from a hollow cylindrical insulating pin projecting from a mating plug element is operated.
- the contact elements each consist of a hollow cylinder protruding conductive pin, which is surrounded by resilient contact fingers. The contact fingers are under spring preload on the pin, creating a circuit with a signaling device is closed (US 3,912,889).
- Connectors can be assembled from non-castable half-shells be connected in sections in the manner of a tongue and groove connection (DE 33 13 144 C2).
- the housing front part itself consists of an outer Shell body and a massive insert in which contact elements are embedded, the are completely surrounded by the insert circumferentially.
- a connector for diagnostic connections according to DE 196 06 505 A1 consists of half shells accommodate a lower case with internal channels in which socket-like electrical contact elements are arranged.
- the present invention is based on the problem of a connector at the beginning mentioned type so that damage to both the front part of the housing and on the rear of the housing do not have to result in the connector being replaced as a whole must become.
- the possibility should be given to housing parts to renew itself, but which should be composed in this way, but with high loads from Z. B. 10 t and more do not lead to damage.
- the front part of the housing is heated if the first contact elements are heated too much does not melt, or if this should be done, a complete exchange does not is required.
- the problem is essentially solved in that the hollow cylindrical receptacle has a Duppel honicity such that the first Kontalktelement with its ends spaced leads to the recording and in the middle area is appropriately recorded from the recording.
- the related construction ensures that to the extent required Cooling can take place in the area of the first contact elements, which also ensures that when a current that is too high flows through the first contact elements, that is, when a current is too high high contact resistance is formed due to the associated heating Melting of the front part of the housing is avoided.
- the Insert made of a plastic material that is at least up to 230 ° C temperature resistant is. Granamide or Stanyl ® can be used as the material, for example.
- the hollow cylindrical receptacles themselves are based on a further development of the invention spaced apart from one another via webs. Also, use against that Shell body over projections protruding from the insert as in the longitudinal direction of the Insert extending webs to be supported. This results in the necessary “ventilation” of the front part of the housing.
- the shell body has on the outside protruding projections such as longitudinal webs, the outer surfaces of which are flush with the outer surface of the back of the case. This ensures that there is a gap between the and back part does not form a step, so that when driving over the A breakage of this connector is excluded.
- At least one switching element can emanate from the back of the housing in a known manner according to the invention, however, is attached to a holding plate which merges into one another Grooves of the half-shells of the back part of the housing can be fixed, the plate being part of the switching element leading connection cable is potted together with the wires of the cable.
- This has the advantage that when the back of the housing is replaced, a new one Connecting the switching element with signal lines is not necessary.
- Appropriate Switches are required, for example, to operate cable reels or signal lines switch through or interrupt.
- the back of the housing is made of two half-shells with one another lying in the longitudinal direction of the housing Longitudinal edges exist that the longitudinal edges have a when the rear part of the housing is assembled Form labyrinth seal and that the back of the housing front part by a is penetrated by the second contact elements sealed insert, which in turn by means of a labyrinth seal on the inside of the housing opposite the back of the housing is sealed.
- the rear part of the housing is exposed Half shells together, which lie one on top of the other in the longitudinal direction of the housing and together are connected.
- the longitudinal edges are designed such that when assembled Half-shells a labyrinth seal is provided. This gives the advantage is that the longitudinal edges shear off when the load acts on the rear part of the housing omitted. It has been shown that masses of z. B. 10 t or can act more without the risk of damage.
- the labyrinth seal also has the advantage that when pouring the back of the housing Potting compound cannot escape from the side. Thus, gluing the housing parts in the seams between the housing shells not possible. This in turn means that if one of the housing shells is damaged, it can be easily removed from the other Half-shell can be removed to be replaced by a new one. Therefore, after In a further development of the invention, the half-shells are also designed identically.
- one of the longitudinal edges of the half-shell has a web-like shape
- the longitudinal projection and the other longitudinal edge correspond to the course of the web-like longitudinal edge has corresponding recess such as groove.
- a sealing element such as a round cord can be introduced into the recess like a groove be, which additionally ensures when casting the back of the case that Potting compound cannot escape through the labyrinth seal.
- the rear part of the housing is on the front side of the housing by one of the second contact elements penetrated insert closed.
- the use is a labyrinth seal on the inside of the housing opposite the back of the housing or its Half shells sealed.
- the plate-shaped insert at least one circumferential extending in the direction of the housing shell inner wall has web-like projection, which has a corresponding recess such as a groove in the Housing inner walls is assigned to the half-shells.
- the Use two web-like projections running parallel to each other and the housing shell inner walls appropriately adapted or arranged recesses such as grooves exhibit.
- a sealing element can also be located in at least one of the recesses such as grooves be arranged like a round cord. Nor is it necessary that in each of the in the composite housing back circumferential grooves a corresponding web tiger The projection of the plate-shaped insert engages. Rather, it is sufficient if only in the a corresponding web of the insert is introduced in the housing front part of the groove.
- the insert is not only an assembly aid when aligning the given the second contact element to the first, but additionally there is a seal of the back of the case when potting. Furthermore, the back of the housing experiences in its Forehead area a high stability.
- the half-shell inner wall surfaces run towards each other in the direction of their respective longitudinal edges.
- Each half-shell consequently surrounds a truncated pyramid-shaped cavity, whereby the The advantage is that after the casting compounds have hardened, the half-shells are problem-free removed and replaced with new ones if necessary.
- the back of the building should have a trumpet-shaped opening at the end, which also extends from the Cable is interspersed.
- a connector of the type described above, with a pilot contact in the housing front part comprising a switching element such as a microswitch is characterized by a independently enjoying proposal in that a sleeve-like first the housing back part and the insert penetrating body with a detachable in the housing front part arranged second sleeve-like body connected as screwed and surrounds this end that extends within the second body end of the first body abutment of a spring element, the switching element directly or is supported indirectly via a first disc element which is axially displaceable in the first body, and that an actuating element such as a plunger of the switching element has a second one in the second Body arranged disc element penetrates as a guide, the actuating element extends in the direction of the opening on the connector receptacle side.
- a connector for on-board power supply from Aircraft provided that is constructed in such a way that in the event of damage some of the others are easily reusable. For example, if Shell of the front part of the housing damaged, so both the insert and the first Contact elements and the back of the connector can be used. If a shell of the back of the housing is damaged, all other elements can be used again be used. This results in a reusability of more than 50% of the parts a connector designed according to the invention. It can therefore wear parts can be easily replaced without a new connector together with the cables leading to it must be made available. So is one Renewal possible in a very short time.
