Definitions
- the invention relates to a sliding board used for alpine skiing or surfing. of snow.
- such a board is formed of a central core and different layers reinforcement located above and below the core.
- layers of glass, carbon or other fibers embedded in glass are commonly used epoxy resin, or layers of metal, especially layers of aluminum alloy.
- Each of these reinforcing materials has well-defined properties. So it is known that a ski with aluminum reinforcements has a soft contact with snow, and that it dampens the relief. Such a ski is powerful and well placed on the snow. It is more suitable for downhill or giant slalom practices.
- a ski with fiber reinforcements is lively and nervous, it has a good rebound.
- This type of ski is suitable for bumps or short turns.
- An object of the invention is to provide a gliding board whose behavior on snow is improved in certain sliding phases.
- the gliding board according to the invention comprises a central core, a gliding sole, at the at least one lower reinforcement layer, at least one upper reinforcement layer located on either side of the board. It is characterized by the fact that at least the reinforcing layer upper is formed by two bands of different nature, which extend respectively in the extension of one another from the central area of the ski towards one and the other of its ends, the bands having a different nature by the nature of the reinforcing material used, or in the case of two strips of resin reinforced with fibers, by the orientation of the fibers, or the grammage of the fibers.
- the bands of nature different overlap in the central area of the board and form a platform in the ski area where the mounting of the retaining elements is planned.
- the ski shown diagrammatically in FIG. 1 has in a known manner a tip 1, a heel 2 and towards the middle a central zone 3.
- this central zone is provided for mounting the front and rear retention elements of the shoe, or, where applicable, an intermediate interface plate.
- the ski has a central core 4 which extends over substantially its entire length and which is surrounded by upper and lower reinforcement layers.
- the core 4 is of any suitable type, wooden, injected or other, and will not be described in detail. In particular, the facilities any he presents with the tip and the heel are within the reach of the skilled person.
- the ski Under the core, the ski has a gliding sole 5, with two lateral canes 5a and 5b. Above the sole extends a lower reinforcing layer 6. This layer extends from continuously over the entire length of the ski. It is a layer of fibers, glass fibers or carbon, impregnated with epoxy resin type resin.
- the ski has an upper reinforcement layer 7 also made of resin army of fibers, and, still above, one or more layers of decoration and protection 8 which extend over the entire length of the ski.
- Layer 8 is not shown as such in Figures 2 to 4.
- these two layers 7 and 8 are folded down on the side flanks of the ski, and descend to the canes.
- the two upper and lower reinforcing layers 6 and 7 are likewise nature so as to balance the structure of the ski.
- the ski between the core and the upper reinforcing layer, that is to say above neutral fiber of the ski, the ski has an intermediate reinforcement layer formed by two separate bands 10 and 11.
- the bands extend in line with one another, respectively from the tip 1 or the heel 2 of the ski to the central zone 3.
- the bands overlap.
- the ski structure is locally reinforced in the mounting area retainers.
- Bands 10 and 11 are different in nature. According to the illustrated embodiment, the bands are different in nature by the material used.
- One of the bands is made of reinforced resin of fibers, the other strip is formed by a layer of aluminum alloy.
- the front band 10 is an aluminum alloy sheet, and the rear strip 11 is made of fiber-reinforced resin.
- the reinforced resin band which passes over aluminum alloy strip. In the central ski area, we could plan between the two ends of the strips 10 and 11 a layer of viscoelastic material. This layer would then be subjected to shear in the event of bending of the ski.
- a metallic reinforcing layer is generally in the form a sheet without lateral flaps which descend along the sides; this is how the tape 10 is shown in FIGS. 2 and 4.
- a resin reinforcing layer can be present with or without side flaps along the sides of the ski.
- Figures 3 and 4 show a strip 11 with two lateral flaps located under the flaps of the upper layer of reinforcement 7. These flaps could as well be omitted. In this case, the tape would cover only the upper face of the nucleus.
- the ski has bands of the same type as the bands 10 and 11, in order to balance the structure of the ski. These bands are located under the neutral fiber of the ski.
- FIG. 1 represents two lower bands 14 and 15 situated under the core, in the extension of one another, respectively in the front and rear areas of the ski.
- the strips 14 and 15 preferably have the same thickness.
- the lower strip 14 located under the strip 10 is like it an aluminum alloy sheet.
- the lower strip 15 located under the strip 11 is a resin reinforced with fibers.
- the two lower bands 14 and 15 are join in the central area of the ski, but do not overlap, depending on the mode of illustrated realization. Additional cuts can be made at this level, so that the ends of the bands fit into each other, so as to ensure continuity relative by avoiding too sudden constraints jumps.
- the reinforcing layers of fiber-reinforced resin are prepreg fabrics resin, and by curing, the resin also ensures the bonding of the layer during the cooking the ski.
- the metal reinforcement strips, for their part, are assembled by means of additional hot melt adhesive films, which are inserted, between the back reinforcement layers 11 and 15 and the nucleus.
- Figure 5 shows the ski of Figure 1 after assembly of the different layers.
- the part front 16 of the ski is thinner than the rear part 17 and than the central area 18. This is due to the so that to balance the flexibility of the front and rear areas of the ski, the reinforcement bands metal above and below are closer to neutral fiber than the strips of fiber reinforcement. In other words, to balance the flexibility of the front and rear areas of the ski, you can play on the thickness of the reinforcement strips and / or on the thickness of the ski, that is to say the distance of the strips from the neutral fiber.
- the behavior of the ski is modified in that it is more nervous at the end of the turn and / or more stable in a straight line compared to a traditional ski which would have a structure of reinforcement entirely metallic or entirely in fibers.
- the relative arrangement of the bands is however not limiting, and, conversely, one could provide reinforcement strips in resin reinforced with fibers on the front of the ski, and metal alloy reinforcement on the back.
- Such a ski would be easy to trigger at the entrance to turn, and it would give a good boost at the end of the curve and a strong support.
- FIG. 6 illustrates a variant implementation of the invention.
- the core carries in its upper part a collection 20.
- the collection extends in the zone covering bands 22 and 23. Its depth is provided to accommodate the end of one strips, so that they have a substantially continuous upper surface in this zoned.
- Figure 6 shows a box 26 located in the lower part of the core, which is provided for covering strips 24 and 25.
- the reinforcing strips could be different by the nature of the fibers, for example of glass fibers on one side and carbon fibers on the other, carbon fibers having the particularity of being even more nervous than glass fibers.
- reinforcement strips which have different fiber orientations, for example in one case of fibers oriented longitudinally, and in the other case diagonally.
- the layers of fibers could still be made different by the grammage of the strips of reinforcement, that is to say the proportion by weight of fibers.
- Other variants could be implemented work, the general idea of the invention being to make different the stiffness and the nervousness of front and rear parts of the ski. In all cases, preferably, the same bands are used nature above and below the core, respectively towards the tip and the ski heel.
