Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung eines Statussignales über den Betriebszustand einer Hochdruckgasentladungslampe in einem kraftfahrzeug.
Erfindungsgemäß erfolgt eine kombinatorische Auswertung der Lampenparameter Lampenstrom und Lampenspannung, die einen erfolgreichen aktiven Zündvorgang anzeigt. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren und die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung erlauben nach einem Verlöschen der Hochdruckgasentladungslampe auch ein einmaliges oder mehrfaches Wiederzünden ohne Hochspannungszündimpuls (passive Zündung), da die aktiven und passiven Zündungen voneinander unterschieden werden und die passiven somit nicht (wie die aktiven) nach einer bestimmten Anzahl zum Abschalten des Systems führen.
