Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tank cleaning device with a housing which can be inserted into an opening of a tank, which has a non-rotatable housing part connected to a supply line for the cleaning liquid and a nozzle holder which can be rotated about a first axis of rotation relative to the non-rotatable housing part, and with at least one on the nozzle holder about a second axis of rotation rotatable nozzle arrangement with four nozzles.
  • a similar tank cleaning device is known from EP 0 430 659 A2.
  • This known tank cleaning device has a narrow housing that can also be inserted into a narrow tank opening.
  • the nozzle arrangement has only two nozzles, which are arranged at an angle of 180 ° to one another. When the housing is inserted into a narrow tank opening, the nozzle arrangement is rotated so that the common axis of the two nozzles is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing.

  • the cleaning density has been reduced by the arrangement of four instead of two nozzles.
  • the four nozzles in the known nozzle arrangements are always arranged at equal angular intervals of 90 ° to one another.
  • the reason for this is that the nozzles in the known tank cleaning devices rotate uniformly about a usually horizontally arranged axis of rotation, while the entire nozzle arrangement rotates uniformly about a usually vertical axis of rotation. Given the uniform 90 ° angular spacing of the nozzles, there is therefore a uniform spray pattern on the inside of the tank without major gaps.
  • the known nozzle arrangements with four nozzles have the disadvantage, however, that when they are introduced into a narrow tank opening, not all nozzle axes can be set parallel to Gehauselangsach.se, at least not without further complex structural measures. In the case of very narrow tank openings, one is therefore forced to shorten the nozzle length, but this leads to poorer quality of the liquid jet and less effective cleaning with poorer cleaning results. However, this means that so far there is no tank cleaning device with four nozzles that pass through a narrow tank opening 3 fits and still delivers a cleaning-effective liquid jet.

If one rotates this nozzle arrangement in such a way that one V-formation points upwards and the other points downwards, then the longer extension of the nozzle arrangement is oriented in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the housing. The minimum required diameter of the tank opening is then only determined by the width of the housing and the narrower extent of the nozzle arrangement.
