Abstract

Bei einer Klappschachtel aus Schachtelteil (10) und Deckel (11) sowie einem im Schachtelteil (10) fixierten Kragen (19) geht es um eine präzise Positionierung des Kragens (19) unabhängig von der Form und Größe des Packungsinhalts. Zu diesem Zweck werden seitwärtsgerichtete Rückstellkräfte auf Kragen-Seitenlappen (21, 22) durch eine besondere Ausgestaltung von (aufrechten) Kragen-Faltkanten (23, 24) ausgeübt. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Klappschachtel (Hinge-Lid-Packung) für Zigaretten, bestehend aus einem (unteren) Schachtelteil und einem Deckel, der im Bereich einer Deckel-Rückwand mit einer Schachtel-Rückwand schwenkbar verbunden ist, wobei innerhalb des Schachtelteils ein Kragen mit Kragenvorderwand und Kragenseitenlappen angeordnet ist, der mit einem oberen Teilbereich aus dem Schachtelteil herausragt und dessen Kragen-Seitenlappen an der Innenseite von Schachtel-Seitenwänden anliegen.
Zum standardmäßigen Aufbau einer Klappschachtel bzw. Hinge-Lid-Packung gehört ein Kragen, der üblicherweise aus einem separaten Zuschnitt aus dünnem Karton besteht. Der Kragen ist dabei U-förmig gefaltet, derart, daß Kragen-Seitenlappen an der Innenseite der Klappschachtel, nämlich an Seitenwänden des Schachtelteils anliegen.
In der Praxis ist zu beobachten, daß häufig eine korrekte, spaltfreie Anlage der Kragen-Seitenlappen an den zugeordneten Seitenwänden nicht gegeben ist. Dieser Mangel tritt insbesondere dann auf, wenn der Packungsinhalt, nämlich ein Zigarettenblock - in einen Innenzuschnitt eingehüllte Zigarettengruppe - aufgrund reduzierter Anzahl der Zigaretten und/oder einer besonderen Formation derselben den Innenraum der Packung nicht vollständig ausfüllt.
Der Erfindung liegt demnach die Aufgabe zugrunde, Maßnahmen vorzuschlagen, die eine korrekte Anlage der Kragen-Seitenlappen an der Packungsinnenseite, nämlich an der Innenseite von Seitenwänden, unabhängig von Gestalt und Größe des Packungsinhalts gewährleistet.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist die erfindungsgemäße Klappschachtel dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine (aufrechte) Kragen-Faltkante als Abgrenzung zwischen der Kragen-Vorderwand einerseits und den Kragen-Seitenlappen andererseits in einem oberen, aus dem Schachtelteil herausragenden Bereich durch Stanzschnitte markiert und in einem unteren, im Schachtelteil positionierten Bereich aus einem die Rückstellkräfte für die Kragen-Seitenlappen erhöhenden Faltlinienabschnitt besteht.
Der Erfindung liegt die Erkenntnis zugrunde, daß in dem gefalteten Kragen eine höhere Rückstellkraft erzeugt werden muß, die auf die Kragen-Seitenlappen wirkt, und zwar jeweils nach außen. Die erhöhte Rückstellkraft bewirkt ohne Einfluß durch den Packungsinhalt eine Anlage der Kragen-Seitenlappen an den Schachtel-Seitenwänden unter Spannung.
Die erhöhte Rückstellkraft wirkt erfindungsgemäß durch eine besondere Ausgestaltung der Kragen-Faltkanten zwischen der Kragen-Vorderwand einerseits und den Kragen-Seitenlappen andererseits. Eine Besonderheit der Erfindung besteht darin, daß die die Rückstellkräfte erhöhenden Maßnahmen überwiegend bzw. ausschließlich in einem Bereich vorgenommen werden, der nach außen nicht sichtbar ist, also in einem Bereich des Kragens, der innerhalb des Schachtelteils sitzt. Konkret ist zu diesem Zweck ein unterer Abschnitt der Faltkanten des Kragens ohne Stanzlinien ausgebildet, insbesondere mit einer Rillung oder Prägung zur Definition der Faltkante. Diese gewährleistet eine höhere Rückstellkraft. Ein möglicher Nachteil der so ausgebildeten Faltkante, nämlich eine gewisse Rundung, ist nach außen nicht erkennbar.
Weitere Einzelheiten der Erfindung werden nachfolgend anhand eines in den Zeichnungen dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiels näher erläutert. Es zeigt:

Klappschachteln bestehen üblicherweise aus Schachtelteil 10 und Deckel 11. Beide sind miteinander verbunden über eine Gelenklinie 12, die eine Schachtelrückwand 13 mit einer Deckel-Rückwand verbindet. Zum Schachtelteil 10 gehören weiterhin eine Schachtel-Vorderwand 15 und Schachtel-Seitenwände 16. Letztere bestehen jeweils aus zwei einander überdeckenden Seitenlappen 17 und 18.
Im Schachtelteil 10 ist ein Kragen 19 positioniert. Dieser besteht aus einem gesonderten, wie die Klappschachtel im übrigen, aus dünnem Karton. Der Kragen 19 bildet drei Bereiche, nämlich eine mittige Kragen-Vorderwand und an diese zu beiden Seiten anschließende Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22.
Zur Positionierung des Kragens 19 im Schachtelteil 10 sind die Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 in eine Position quer zur Kragen-Vorderwand gefaltet. Es entstehen so Kragen-Faltkanten 23, 24, die mit frontseitigen, aufrechten Packungskanten korrespondieren. Die Kragen-Vorderwand 20 ist mit einem unteren Teilbereich innenseitig an der Schachtel-Vorderwand 15 befestigt, insbesondere durch Klebung. Die Schachtel-Seitenlappen 21, 22 liegen innenseitig an den zugeordneten Schachtel-Seitenwänden 16 an, und zwar an dem innenliegenden Seitenlappen 17.
Der Kragen 19 ist so gestaltet, daß auf die Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 Rückstellkräfte des Materials ausgeübt werden, die eine elastische Andrückkraft auf die Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 zur Anlage derselben an den Schachtel-Seitenwänden 16 ausüben. Zu diesem Zweck sind die Kragen-Faltkanten 23, 24 entsprechend gestaltet.
Wie insbesondere aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich, sind die Kragen-Faltkanten 23, 24 einerseits durch Stanzschnitte definiert und andererseits durch Prägungen bzw. Rillungen im Material. Die Prägung bzw. Rillung, nämlich der stanzschnittfreie Bereich der Kragen-Faltkanten 23, 24 bewirkt die Rückstellkräfte.
In einem oberen Bereich jeder Kragen-Faltkante 23, 24 ist ein Stanzschnitt 25 von begrenzter Länge gebildet. Er schließt an eine im wesentlichen geradlinige Stanzung mit bogenförmigen Enden, also eine C-Stanzung 26. Diese definiert einen im Bereich der Kragen-Faltkanten 23, 24 abstehenden Vorsprung 27, der als "Deckelbremse" zur Fixierung des Deckels 11 in Schließstellung dient.
Nach unten folgt auf die C-Stanzung 26 eine Prägung bzw. Rillung 28. Bei dieser handelt es sich um eine übliche Materialverformung, die vorzugsweise an der Außenseite des Kragens 19 angebracht wird. Die Rillung 28 endet mit einem geringen Abstand unterhalb der C-Stanzung 26. Bei der Positionierung des Kragens 19 im Schachtelteil 10 ergibt sich, daß aufgrund der gewählten Abmessungen die Rillung 28 vollständig im Schachtelteil verschwindet bzw. mit einem kleinen oberen Bereich über eine Schließkante 29 des Schachtelteils hinwegragt.
Die Besonderheit besteht darin, daß im oberen, bei geöffnetem Deckel 11 sichtbaren Teil des Kragens 19 eine scharfkantige, im Querschnitt exakt rechtwinklige Kragen-Faltkante 23, 24 ausgebildet ist. In diesem Bereich werden nur geringe Rückstellkräfte auf die Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 ausgeübt. Im unteren, verdeckten Bereich entsteht aufgrund der Rillung 28 eine Rundkante 30 als Abschnitt der Kragen-Faltkante 23, 24. In diesem Bereich werden größere, seitwärtsgerichtete Rückstellkräfte auf die Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 ausgeübt.
Eine seitwärtsgerichtete Vorspannung der Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 ist insbesondere für eine exakte Positionierung des Kragens 19 innerhalb des Schachtelteils 10 von Bedeutung, wenn an der Innenseite der Schachtel-Seitenwände 16 Vorsprünge 31 gebildet sind zur Abstützung einer unteren Kragenkante 32 auf diesem Vorsprung 31. Der Vorsprung 31 ist zweckmäßigerweise nach Maßgabe von US 4,216,898 ausgebildet und kann nach den Vorschlägen von EP 547 449 hergestellt werden. Durch die seitwärtsgerichteten Rückstellkräfte im Bereich der Kragen-Seitenlappen 21, 22 ist sichergestellt, daß diese mit den Kragenkanten 32 zuverlässig auf den Vorsprüngen 31 abgestützt und damit in einer exakten Position fixiert sind.
Der Kragen 19 kann trotz der besonderen Ausgestaltung der Kragen-Faltkanten 23, 24 in einem einzigen Arbeitsgang komplett hergestellt werden. Werkzeuge für Stanzungen sind in diesem Fall auf einer gemeinsamen Walze durch Prägewerkzeuge ersetzt.

Claims (4)

  1. Klappschachtel (Hinge-Lid-Packung) für Zigaretten, bestehend aus einem (unteren) Schachtelteil (10) und einem Deckel (11), der im Bereich einer Deckel-Rückwand (14) mit einer Schachtel-Rückwand (13) schwenkbar verbunden ist, wobei innerhalb des Schachtelteils (10) ein Kragen (19) mit Kragen-Vorderwand (20) und Kragen-Seitenlappen (21, 22) angeordnet ist, der mit einem oberen Teilbereich aus dem Schachtelteil (10) herausragt und dessen Kragen-Seitenlappen (21, 22) an der Innenseite von Schachtel-Seitenwänden (16) anliegen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß (aufrechte) Kragen-Faltkanten (23, 24) als Abgrenzung zwischen der Kragen-Vorderwand (20) einerseits und den Kragen-Seitenlappen (21, 22) andererseits in einem oberen, aus dem Schachtelteil (10) herausragenden Bereich durch Stanzschnitte markiert ist und in einem unteren, im Schachtelteil positionierten Bereich aus einem die Rückstellkräfte für die Kragen-Seitenlappen (21, 22) erhöhenden Faltlinienabschnitt - Rundkante (30) besteht.
  2. Klappschachtel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kragen-Faltkanten (23, 24) im unteren Bereich (ausschließlich) durch eine die Faltung erleichternde Prägung des Materials definiert ist, also ohne Stanzungen, insbesondere durch eine entlang der Kragen-Faltkante (23, 24) verlaufende Rillung (28).
  3. Klappschachtel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die aufrechten Kragen-Faltkanten (23, 24) in einem oberen Bereich aus mehreren, insbesondere zwei Stanzschnitten besteht, nämlich vorzugsweise aus einem einzelnen Stanzschnitt (25) und einer anschließenden C-Stanzung (26) zur Bildung eines seitwärtsgerichteten Vorsprungs im Bereich der Kragen-Faltkante (23, 24) und daß im Anschluß daran eine vorzugsweise bis zum unteren Rand des Kragens (19) verlaufende Rillung (28) anschließt.
  4. Klappschachtel nach Anspruch 1 oder einem der weiteren Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kragen im Bereich der Kragen-Seitenlappen (21, 22) mit einer Kragenkante (23) auf einem Vorsprung (31) an der Innenseite der Schachtel-Seitenwände (16) abgestützt ist.
