Definitions
- the invention relates to a component system and components for bed frames, especially water bed frames.
- the invention relates to frame profiles and corner connectors, which are particularly useful for the construction of a Waterbed required frame parts including the support structure.
- Such components and component systems in particular for water beds are in known in various forms, e.g. from DE 195 42 135 A1, in which various components for the production of a frame structure for Waterbeds are shown.
- this publication shows massive lower ones Frame profiles for creating an outer bed frame, by means of which upper Frame profiles are framed in the form of elastic foam profiles form a comfortable seat edge and reach up to a base plate, one Forms a surface for a waterbed mattress and that of weight-distributing Support elements, commonly referred to as weight distributors, is worn.
- the profiles shown in DE 195 42 135 A1 should be designed such that including in the intended installation condition of the bed frame Mattress the foam profiles held securely by the lower frame profiles be without fasteners between the lower frame profiles and Foam profiles must be provided. This is due to a special shape the lower frame profiles and the foam profiles achieved the one positive connection of the profiles enables.
- Softside frames are known, which can be divided horizontally in the middle (so-called. Split softside frame) to use standard size sheets too to allow for waterbeds.
- the lower part of the foam profiles can with Fabric, leather, imitation leather or the like. be encased to cover a bed according to Art to simulate a fixed bed frame.
- the support structure consists of a number of Weight distributors in the form of two x-shaped short plates. It is necessary to support the base plate, which the several when filled mattresses weighing a hundred kilos.
- the panels can be inserted into each other in an X-shape, they must be included corresponding recesses complementary to each other, which usually be introduced approximately in the middle of a long side. Since that Making these recesses requires a certain level of manual skill, the recess is made in the factory, and the plates are together with the other parts of a bed frame, even though the panels in usually around commercial chipboard or blockboard available in any hardware store acts. However, the edges of such plates tend to break off during transport, and the transport costs are often of the order of magnitude Material value of the plates.
- This lower frame will usually from in the corner area by means of screw connections with angles or Similar additional elements interconnected colored chipboard or the like. formed, which are usually butt jointed or mitred.
- the assembly of the lower one, not exposed to any active stress and only a veneer performing framework is associated with a not inconsiderable expenditure of time.
- Borders known as the textile strip running around the outside of the bed
- the softside frame grips the foam frame profiles laterally and downwards on which a zipper is provided towards the top of the bed, by means of which the Bed cover can be attached to the border.
- Border and bed pad will be usually from the same, often quilted and on a thin blanket pronounced material.
- the secure mounting of the border is not in guaranteed in every case. Since they are raised by an intended Sheets are covered laterally, their function is actually only in holding the Bed pad.
