Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft Presswerkzeuge zum kaltumformenden Verbinden von rohrförmigen Werkstücken (2, 3), deren Verbindungsbereiche mit kreisförmigen Aussenquerschnittsformen versehen und ineinander geschoben sind. Die Pressbacken (10) des Presswerkzeugs weisen im geschlossenen Zustand in etwa die Aussenquerschnittsform der Werkstücke auf und können mit Ausnehmungen (13, 17) versehen sein. Ein solches Presswerkzeug kann auch nur zwei Pressbacken (10) und einen Lagerbolzen (4) aufweisen. Durch in das Werkzeug eingeleitete Antriebskräfte (F) werden über dieses Kaltumformkräfte auf die Werkstücke (2, 3) ausgeübt. Je nach Fertigungstoleranzen der Werkstücke (2, 3) variiert der Abstand (A) zwischen den Pressbacken (10).
