Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb einer Kolbenbrennkraftmaschine mit elektromagnetischen Ventiltrieben zur Betätigung der Gaswechselventile, die jeweils einen zwischen zwei Elektromagneten gegen die Kraft von Rückstellfedern bewegbare und mit einem Gaswechselventil in Verbindung stehenden Anker aufweisen und, die über eine elektronische Motorsteuerung vollvariabel ansteuerbar sind, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß in der Motorsteuerung im Betrieb die Funktion der elektromagnetischen Ventiltriebe eines jeden Zylinders erfaßt wird und daß beim Erkennen eines Funktionsausfalls eines elektromagnetischen Ventiltriebs an einem Zylinder der Elektromagnet des ausgefallenen elektromagnetischen Ventiltriebs mit einem Fangstrom beaufschlagt wird, der den Anker in die Endstellung an einem Elektromagneten bringt, und daß aus dieser Endstellung heraus der elektromagnetische Ventiltrieb für den laufenden Arbeitstakt des Zylinders angesteuert wird.
