Abstract

Bei einer als Zweikolbenmaschine arbeitenden Stirlingmaschine, bestehend aus einem allseitig gegen die Umgebung verschlossenen Zylinder (1) dessen Enden eine außerhalb des Zylinders geführte Verbindung über einen Kühler (2), einem Regenerator (3) und einem Erhitzer (4) für das Arbeitsgas aufweisen und eine kalte (11) und eine heiße (12) Zylinderseite bilden, in dessen Innenraum sich ein Kompressionskolben (7) auf der kalten Zylinderseite (11) und ein Expansionskolben (5) auf der heißen Zylinderseite (12) auf einer gemeinsamen Achse befinden, die über Kolbenstangen (6,8) mit einem außerhalb des Zylinders liegenden Triebwerk (10) verbunden sind und zueinander phasenverschoben angetrieben werden, bildet jeder Kolben (5,7) einen durch seine Hübe veränderlichen Raum für das Arbeitsgas zwischen ihm und dem jeweiligen Zylinderende. Diese Räume (11,12) sind gegen den Raum (16) zwischen den Kolben (5, 7) abgedichtet, der als Pufferraum benützt werden kann.
