Abstract

Ein Instrument bzw. Windspiel weist einen länglichen Tragstab auf, an welchem eine Mehrzahl von Klangkörpern im Abstand voneinander pendelnd aufgehängt ist, wobei der Tragstab (2) mit einem Klappgelenk (4) versehen ist. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung richtet sich auf ein Musik-Instrument bzw. ein Windspiel umfassend einen Tragstab und eine Mehrzahl hieran pendelnd befestigter Klangkörper.
Derartige Instrumente werden üblicherweise als Chimes bezeichnet. Die Klangkörper sind üblicherweise stabförmig ausgebildet und können durch massive Stäbe oder durch Rohre gebildet sein. Aufgrund unterschiedlicher Längen werden beim Anschlagen unterschiedliche Tonhöhen erzeugt. Beim Windspiel entsteht der gewünschte Klang dadurch, daß die einzelnen Klangkörper unter Einwirkung des Windes aneinanderstoßen.
Die pendelnde Aufhängung der Klangkörper wird dadurch bewerkstelligt, daß in dem Tragstab Bohrungen vorgesehen sind, sich am oberen Ende der Klangkörper ebenfalls eine Bohrung befindet und Haltefäden oder -drähte durch die jeweiligen Bohrungen geführt sind.
Ein Problem derartiger Chimes mit relativ langen Tragstäben besteht darin, daß sie sehr unhandlich zu transportieren und zu lagern sind.
Hiervon ausgehend liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Instrument bzw. Windspiel der eingangs genannten Art so auszugestalten, daß einerseits gegenüber herkömmlichen Ausführungsformen ein einfacherer Transport und eine bequemere Aufbewahrung ermöglicht werden, daß andererseits aber auch ganz neue Klangeffekte erzielbar sind.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß der Tragstab mit einem Klappgelenk versehen ist.
Durch das Zusammenklappen des Tragstabes wird ein erheblich kompakteres Handling ermöglicht. Darüber hinaus lassen sich ganz neue Klangeffekte erzielen, weil zwei Reihen unmittelbar benachbarter Klangkörper entstehen, die aneinander anstoßen, wenn sie angeschlagen oder vom Wind bewegt werden.
In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß der Tragstab im zusammengelegten Zustand fixierbar ist. Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß das Instrument in diesem Zustand nicht nur aufbewahrt, sondern auch gespielt werden kann.
Vorteilhafterweise erfolgt diese Fixierung dadurch, daß der Tragstab im zusammengeklappten Zustand fluchtende Bohrungen zum Einsetzen eines Fixierbolzens aufweist.
Ebenso ist günstigerweise das Klappgelenk im aufgeklappten Zustand fixierbar, so daß hierdurch der Tragstab stabilisiert wird.
Zur Fixierung des Klappgelenks ist mit Vorteil ein schwenkbarer, einrastbarer Verriegelungsbügel vorgesehen.
Ein besonders attraktives Äußeres und eine vorteilhafte Spieltechnik ergeben sich daraus, daß die Länge der Klangkörper von der Mitte ausgehend nach außen hin zunimmt.
Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand eines bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiels in Verbindung mit der Zeichnung näher erläutert. Dabei zeigen:

Ein in der Zeichnung dargestelltes erfindungsgemäßes Instrument 1 in Form von Chimes umfaßt einen länglichen Tragstab 2, der an seiner Mitte 3 geteilt und mit einem scharnierartigen Schwenk- bzw. Klappgelenk 4 versehen ist.
Der Tragstab 2 ist mit einer Mehrzahl von Bohrungen 5 versehen, an welchen über Fäden 6 zylinderförmige Klangkörper 7 befestigt sind. Die Länge und damit die Tonhöhe der Klangkörper 7 nimmt ausgehend von der Mitte 3 nach außen hin zu.
Im Bereich des Schwenkgelenks 3 ist an einem Beschlag 8 ein Verriegelungsbügel 9 schwenkbar derart gelagert, daß er an einem Rastvorsprung 10 einrastbar ist, wobei der Rastvorsprung seinerseits an einem Beschlag 11 angeordnet ist, der an dem anderen Teil des Tragstabs 2 angebracht ist.
Die beiden Teile 2a, 2b des Tragstabs 2 weisen im zusammengeklappten Zustand fluchtende Bohrungen 12, 13 auf, durch die zur Fixierung im zusammengeklappten Zustand ein Arretierbolzen eingesetzt werden kann.

Claims (6)

  1. Instrument bzw. Windspiel umfassend einen länglichen Tragstab, an welchem eine Mehrzahl von Klangkörpern im Abstand voneinander pendelnd aufgehängt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Tragstab (2) mit einem Klappgelenk (4) versehen ist.
  2. Instrument nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Tragstab (2) im zusammengelegten Zustand fixierbar ist.
  3. Instrument nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Tragstab (2) im zusammengeklappten Zustand fluchtende Bohrungen (5) zum Einsetzen eines Fixierbolzens aufweist.
  4. Instrument nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Klappgelenk (4) im aufgeklappten Zustand fixierbar ist.
  5. Instrument nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zur Fixierung des Klappgelenks (4) ein schwenkbarer, einrastbarer Verriegelungsbügel (9) vorgesehen ist.
  6. Instrument nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Länge der Klangkörper (7) ausgehend von der Mitte (3) des Tragstabs (2) zunimmt.
