Definitions
- the invention relates to a top seal for a mullion / transom construction, especially for a mullion and transom construction with a static profile on which an attachment or adapter profile is attachable, the essay seal substantially in cross-section a T-shape with a base bar and two on both sides of the base web substantially perpendicular to the base extending transverse webs having.
- the prior art DE-A-197 41 469 which the generic The prior art forms, and the DE-A-196 24 629 called, which is a top seal describes which has a base, which is in a rebate extends between fillings and is provided with sealing lips which the rebate subdivide into several chambers at the side of the footbridge.
- Top seals are installed in the rebate of a facade or a light roof a so-called attachment profile connected to the substructure. Such a top seal is described in DE 199 01 418.
- Top seals of the generic type have as the top seal of Invention on a base formed essentially from the two transverse webs is and locking elements for locking on the substructure has. They point Furthermore, the central base on, via a screw of the substructure is put over. Drainage or drainage grooves are used for discharge from leachate. They also have a double glass plant layer, to compensate for a difference in height at the intersection of bars and posts.
- Top seals are usually made in one piece from EPDM. you will be formed relatively large volume or calculated to the large-volume seals, also in long lengths, e.g. over several façade storeys, in one piece executable have to be.
- the object of the invention is to solve these problems at least partially.
- a top seal should be created, easy to transport and to assemble.
- the hinges increase the flexibility of the top seal in a structurally simple manner and thus facilitate both their storage on sealing drums as also their assembly.
- the hinges are structurally particularly simple as film hinges educated.
- the base web extends into a rebate space between Fillings and is laterally provided with at least one or more sealing lip (s), which divide the seaming space laterally of the base web into several chambers.
- sealing lip s
- the base bar with closed or unilaterally open hollow chambers Mistake.
- the sections in the region of the transverse webs is also a closed Base trained, the sections, the lower end of the one Hollow chambers limited.
- the closed - but preferably detachable - base leads in this area to a very desirable here in the production Shape stabilization and exact positioning of the seal on the substructure.
- Predetermined breaking points or lines allow for easy removability part of the base before assembly.
- the conclusion in the area between the breaking points will always be extruded, even if it is for the installation function is not required.
- the top gasket can be extruded safely and also experiences no excessive deformation during winding of the seal Transport and bearing rollers.
- the transverse webs of the attachment seals a glass plant and a Rastunterteil on which engage via a tongue and groove system.
- the contact surfaces the superimposed glass system and latching base a groove and spring system is a simple way of slipping the two Prevented components relative to each other.
- the tongue and groove system is constructive designed so that in the crossing area, in which bolt and post seals overlap, the grooved surfaces come to rest. This is achieved in that the latch essay seal the groove in the upper Glass plant has and the post-top seal the groove in the lower part the glass plant, the Rastunterteil.
- the contact surfaces are more advantageous Smooth each other.
- a latching groove is formed in the latching lower part, wherein an outer the Locking groove limiting leg inclined to an angle of investment not inward is.
- the base of the top seal thus has two locking grooves, the two outer Have webs which are oriented in the unmounted state inwards. This results in mounted seals a contact pressure against the substructure and thus a very good fit and a good seal.
- Fig. 1 shows a horizontal section through a mullion / transom construction.
- the supporting structure has an example here of a steel existing static profile 1, on which a top or adapter profile 2 is mounted.
- the Attachment profiles 2 can be made of materials such as steel, aluminum or plastic and welded, bolted or glued to the static profiles.
- the static profiles made of different materials such as steel, aluminum and wood exist.
- a top seal 3 is turned up and clipped.
- the top seal 3 has in the section of Fig. 1 is essentially a kind of T-shape on.
- At the base web 3a of the T close on both sides of the base web 3a essentially perpendicular to the web extending transverse webs 3b, 3c.
- From the top seal 3 or of the transverse webs 3b, 3c and an outer Glass plant seal 4 become fillings 5, e.g. Insulated glass panes.
- the outer glass plant seals 4 are held in grooves of a clamping profile 6.
- the clamping profile 6 is fixed with a screw 8 with the attachment profile 2 is attached to the static profile 1, bolted. For visual reasons can still a cover shell 7 are clipped onto the clamping profile 6.
- the footbridge 3a is hinged (here film hinges) 19 with the transverse webs 3b, 3c connected.
- the base web 3a extends into the seam between the fillings 5. In this area, the base web 3a is laterally with sealing lips. 9 provided, the Falzraum side of the base web 3a into a plurality of chambers 10, 11th divide and thus improve the thermal insulation.
- the inner chamber 11 forms at the same time a drainage groove, which led to the discharge of penetrated into the fold Water serves.
- the top seal 3 also has in its middle part or in the area of their Grundsteges 3a more hollow chambers 12, 13 and 14 on.
- the inner chamber 12 in Edge area to the base of the two transverse webs 3b, 3c is to place the Seal designed on the attachment profile, the middle hollow chamber 13 is used for Heat insulation and the hollow chamber 14, which is open to the outside, is used as a guide or locking groove designed for centering or locking other components.
- Fig. 2 shows a vertical bar section through the mullion / transom construction a significant difference of essay seals 3, 3 'for bars and Post is that the sealing web 15 of the transverse webs 3b, 3c of the top seal 3 'for the bolt with the glass plant 16, whereas the transverse webs 3b, 3c of the Top seal 3 is connected to the post with the latching base 21. hereby stays in the crossing area, where the seals overlap (see also Fig. 3), the Entskyss mecanicsnut 11 obtained. When the seal for the bolt is in this area of the overlap the Rastunterteil 21 and fitting to the Seal for the post the glass plant 16 removed.
- the groove bottom of this Groove 18 substantially by a direction perpendicular to the main extension direction of the Base web 3a aligned Nutsteg 18a formed while the groove bottom of the groove 14 in Fig. 1 consists of two complementary to a kind of "V" Nutstegen 14a, 14b.
- the essay seals 3, 3 'in common is the hinge-like invention Joint 19 at the end of the sealing webs 15 in the transition to the outwardly directed Sealing walls 20 or in the region of the transitions between the base web 3a and the transverse webs 3b, 3c. As a result, the good mountability is achieved.
- the transverse webs 3b, 3c of the top seals 3, 3 'of Figures 1, 4 and 5 have a Glass plant 16 and a latching base 21 on. While for the post-top seal 3, the latching lower part 21 via a relatively short sealing web 15th is connected to the rest of the seal is in Fig. 5 for the top seal 3 'of the Riegel the glass plant 16 via the sealing web 15 connected to the rest of the seal.
- Both sealing components, so both glass plant 16 and Rastunterteil 21 are only in the outer edge region via a small connecting web 22nd coupled together, but are essentially directly to each other, where they via a tongue-and-groove system 23, 23 'intermesh to absorb lateral forces to be able to. Slipping is thus effectively prevented.
- the groove 23 ' is always on the side of the component, which is connected via the sealing ridge 15 with the seal. This way In the crossing region, the component to be separated always the spring 23, so that the Groove 23 leads to a flat system for the filling elements.
- Fig. 4 engages in the essay seal 3 for the post, the glass plant 16 via a spring 23 in a groove 23 'of the latching lower part 21 a.
- Both essay seals 3, 3 'further have latching grooves 24 which are located in the latching lower part 21 are located.
- This seal can be securely fixed in the substructure become.
- the advantage here is that the outer leg 25 to the contact angle ⁇ is slightly inclined inwards. This ensures that the seal safely abuts against the substructure and sealing closes.
- the seals 3, 3 'further have a central transverse web 26 and 27.
- This Crosspiece is used for positionally accurate positioning of the seal on the attachment profile and for thermal insulation.
- the transverse web 27 in Fig. 5 also has the Advantage of easy removability at predetermined breaking points. This is advantageous if additional glazing pads are attached to the attachment profile on the latch so that the entire cavity 28 is filled.
- transverse webs 29 and 30 ensure sufficient dimensional stability during extrusion and while winding the relatively rigid seals. These transverse webs 29, 30 are removed before assembly. They are only slightly connected to the seal and therefore can easily be removed from the gasket.
- Fig. 7 shows a further variant of a top seal, which is a special glass plant seal 31 has.
- This glass plant seal includes a crowned center Region 34, two relatively long sealing lips 32 and a cavity 33rd
- This embodiment is particularly advantageous when arranged at an angle to each other Filling plates, ie in corner areas, with the spherical shape of the Glass plant seal the angle position can adapt particularly advantageous.
- a top seal according to the present invention is shown.
- a hinge 35 preferably a film hinge, provided, the sealing walls 20 pivotally connected to the Nutsteg 18 a.
- transverse webs 3b are articulated via hinges 19 to the sealing walls 20.
- the top seal may be replaced by the additional hinges 35 are made substantially flat and rolled up for transport.
- the protruding sealing lips 9 are arranged protected, since the adjacent Lay by the distance of the essay seal through the glass plant 16 the Sealing lips 9 give the necessary space. The storage in the wound state therefore does not cause any distortions and undesirable deformations.
- the top seal 3 for the post and the top seal 3 'for the latch then into the position shown in Figs. 9 to 11 installed to be brought.
- an open hollow chamber 36th formed into the fasteners e.g. a glass slide to be inserted can.
