Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a container for a beverage or the like, in which two walls of a flexible pocket vis-à-vis so as to delimit between them an interior space intended to contain a drink or analogous, we have a suction pipe between the two walls and forming in the interior space a holding channel for the tubing, this channel being delimited between two connecting lines disposed on either side of said tubing.
- the tubing suction must be sterilized regardless of its placement in the bellows, and the pocket itself must be sterilized to avoid to contaminate this tubing during its placement in the bellows, and finally the drink introduced into the pocket must also to be sterilized or pasteurized herself.
- the bellows containing the straw is almost completely disconnected from the pocket; it thus forms a dangling piece and little practice, which disrupts stability.
- DE 35 20 451 indicates that straw is is extracted from a storage hopper, then tilted to present vertically and be inserted between two films that roll One against the other. Both films are welded to form the bottom of the pocket and, after the introduction of the straw between them, they are welded according to the connecting lines which delimit the outline of the pocket and which also delimit the channel in which the straw is placed.
- US 5,884,758 recommends the use of gripping jaws that extract a straw from the hopper and the present in the opening of a pocket. Straw is pushed longitudinally through this opening in the channel of maintenance, which has previously been formed by the jaws of welding. The use of a funnel-shaped guide tube of which the cylindrical end is inserted into the pocket is necessary. This insertion technique remains insecure with regard to penetration and positioning the straw in the pocket.
- the manufacturing processes disclosed by the documents DE 35 20 451 and US 5 884 758 show a certain number of disadvantages. If the holding channel is previously formed, the straw is very difficult to insert in this channel. If the channel is formed after the insertion of the straw, it is poorly positioned and risk of being crushed by the welding jaws which realize then the canal; to limit this risk, the channel is relatively wide, so the straw is not really maintained in this channel and that, after opening the pocket, the fluid contained in the latter flows freely through the opening.
- the aim of the invention is to propose a simple and reliable method to manufacture a container of the aforementioned type, in which a straw is arranged in a holding channel, while realizing the arrangement straw and forming this channel reliably and simply.
- the longitudinal direction is the direction of the length of the tubing suction when the latter is arranged in the pocket, while the transverse direction is perpendicular to this longitudinal direction.
- this stop means can for example be constituted by a soldering zone of the pocket (forming a continuous line or discrete areas) or by a wedging tool pressed against the film.
- the straw is held against this stop means for at least partially realize the link line not previously formed.
- the straw can initially be introduced between the walls without any particular precaution as to its exact positioning. She is indeed correctly positioned by being pushed back against this stop member which, as will be seen later, can be constituted by a part of the binding contour of the pocket, to which case the sustain channel can then be simply realized in forming a single additional connecting line, on the other side of the tubing.
- the latter will remain placed in space inside the pocket, against one side of this pocket and will be easily accessible through a pocket opening in the area this side.
- two connected walls are provided between they according to a connection outline interrupted in an opening of introduction, a suction pipe is introduced between the two walls by said introduction opening and the tubing is moved suction between the two walls in a substantially transverse to the length of said tubing, until this the last is in the said zone intended to form the maintenance.
- said tubing is pushed back against a portion substantially rectilinear connection outline, this portion constituting a first of two connecting lines used to delimit the canal and, keeping the tubing in this position, we connect the walls between them, on the other side of this tubing by report to the first line of liaison, to achieve the second line link.
- the aforementioned abutment means is none other than the first connecting line which delimits the channel.
- the fact that the straw cooperates in abutment against this line ensures that the operation of welding forming the second connecting line does not crush the straw.
- the two walls are for example formed by the two folded sides of one and the same film and the straw is introduced by an edge not yet welded, which forms said introductory opening, which is opposite to the fold and which is intended to form a transverse edge of the pockets, for example their upper edge.
- the straw oriented perpendicularly on this edge, can first be inserted between the walls by a longitudinal displacement until it reaches the neighborhood of the zone intended to form the holding channel. She is next precisely positioned in this area by a displacement transverse.
- the tubing before connecting the two walls on one side corresponding to a longitudinal portion of the around the pocket, the tubing is introduced between these walls by said side, by a displacement of said tubular transversely to its length and, when the tubing has reached the area intended to form the holding channel, the two walls are connected in weld zones located on each of the connecting lines, on both sides of the tubing.
- the two walls are for example formed by the two folded sides of one and the same film and the straw is introduced by an edge not yet welded, which forms said introductory opening, which is opposite to the fold and which is intended to form a longitudinal edge of the pockets.
- the introducing movement of the straw between the two walls can operate only transversely from this edge of the film.
- a beverage in the container conditions a beverage in the container, proceeding advantageously in the following way: the drink is introduced in the receptacle provided with the suction line in a state in which which the pocket is closed over its entire contour except for one forming a filling opening, the bag is closed by connecting the walls of this pocket in said opening of filling, the closed pocket is placed so that the suction pipe is substantially immersed in the drink and the container is subjected to a treatment of preservation of the drink.
- the drink can be introduced into the container pocket in a manner known per se, without the presence of the suction pipe in its channel only requires very special precautions are taken.
- the opening of filling is then closed and the preservation treatment of the drink not only affects this drink, but also the suction pipe which is flooded by the latter.
- the preservation treatment of the drink may be a sterilization or pasteurization.
- the invention also relates to an installation of manufacture of a container comprising a flexible pouch which comprises two walls facing each other delimiting between them an interior space intended to contain a drink, comprising means for introduce a suction pipe between two walls intended for form the two walls of the flexible pouch, means for connecting the two walls along this pipe so as to delimit, between two connecting lines of said walls, a holding channel in which is disposed and maintained said tubing, this channel of holding being formed in the interior space of the pocket.
- US 5,884,758 discloses a close system, which also uses a guiding and insertion tube and which has the aforementioned drawbacks.
- the object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a simple and reliable installation of use.
- the installation the invention comprises means for moving the tubing disposed between the two walls in a direction substantially transverse to the length of said tubing, to thus dispose the latter in an area intended to form the holding channel and then to connect the two walls on at least one connecting line not previously formed.
- the walls are connected on at least the link line previously formed only when the straw has reached its correct position, so that the channel can be dimensioned very precisely without the formation of this link line will not damage the straw.
- the invention also relates to a container comprising a flexible bag adapted to contain a drink or the like, which comprises two walls facing each other delimiting between them an interior space intended to contain a drink and which has a holding channel in which a suction pipe is arranged, this channel being delimited, in the interior space, between two connecting lines of the two walls, the pocket being intended to be open in an opening zone into which an end of the channel opens .
- the channels in which are arranged the straws have a fairly large width so that the straw can be extracted without difficulty after opening the pocket in an upper end region of the channel. This width is also due to manufacturing difficulties previously mentioned.
- the aim of the invention is to propose an improved container which can be substantially closed after opening, and for which the end of the straw can be protected between two absorptions of the beverage.
- the tubing of suction has an end portion which can be folded on itself, while the holding channel has a portion end of the vicinity of the opening zone adapted to receive the portion folded end of the tubing and that said holding channel has a restriction zone whose width is less than the width of said end portion and which is at most suitable for receive a portion of the tubeless unfolded on itself.
- this one after opening the pocket in an upper zone of the canal and a first absorption of drink by the upper end of the straw, this one can be folded and its upper end again be arranged in the holding channel whose end portion is wide enough for receive this folded part of the straw.
- the straw and folded can be relatively depressed in the channel. Its straight part non-fold then reaches the restriction zone, and because of tensions applied to the films that constitute the pocket, the walls of the channel tend to stick against the straw.
- the fold of the straw in the canal serves no only to protect this straw, but to achieve a seal substantially preventing reflux of the fluid out of the channel.
- This sealing is due to the restriction zone which, with the presence of the folded straw, has a valve effect or throttling opposing the passage of the fluid.
- the pocket is of the type of discloses the document GB 1 069 268, the presence of the straw in this pocket contributes to its stability in a rectified position and improves resistance to vertical compressive forces.
- this non-rectilinear connecting line has a concavity turned away from the canal.
- the container of FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a pocket 10 made from flexible sheets, advantageously made of thermoplastic, having a conformation similar to that of the Patent pocket GB-1 069 268.
- This pocket 10 comprises two opposed walls 12 and 14 defining between them an interior space intended to contain a drink.
- the bottom of the pocket is formed by a sheet 18 welded to the lower ends of the two walls 12 and 14.
- the two walls 12 and 14 are for example formed by two sheets welded to each other on their edges and in the upper region of the container according to the welding lines 20.
- the sheet 18 is welded between the two sheets 12 and 14 in the bottom region, in a welding zone 22.
- These sheets are for example made of transparent plastic material or aluminum.
- the sheets 12, 18 and 14 can be formed in continuity from the same film suitably folded and welded into the crease areas or consist of separate films.
- this bottom wall 18 can be brought back inside the pocket between the two walls 12 and 14, so that the pocket flat, considered in section perpendicular to the walls 12 and 14, has a shaped bottom substantially in W.
- this bottom is convex, the lateral ends of the bottom wall being welded to the edges lateral walls 12 and 14 in regions raised towards the end top of the container.
- the end lower 22A of this welding zone defines a base on which the pocket is likely to rest while staying in upright position substantially vertical as seen on the FIGS. 1 and 2. This base has an outline substantially elliptical ensuring its stability.
- the pocket 10 has a delimited holding channel 24, in the interior space 16, between two connecting lines of the walls 12 and 14.
- these two lines of link are constituted, on the one hand, by a rectilinear portion 20A of the welding outline 20 and, on the other hand, by an additional weld 26.
- the portion 20A is on a side edge of the pocket and, when the latter rests on its base, said line of solder is oriented vertically.
- the method and the installation of the invention make it possible realize the second connecting line 26 by orienting it substantially parallel to the portion 20A, and spacing it a distance average D of the latter. It also makes it possible to manufacture container according to the invention, in which the connecting line 26 is inclined relative to the portion 20A (as seen in the figures 1 and 3 to 7) and is possibly even non-rectilinear (as the shows Figure 9).
- the lower end 24A of channel 24 is open in the interior space, so that this channel communicates naturally with this interior space.
- a suction pipe 28 is arranged in the channel 24 and is maintained in the latter.
- This tubing or “straw” is advantageously made of plastic (polyethylene) food grade.
- Figure 1 shows pre-cut notches 30A and 30B which define an opening zone of the pocket, this last can be torn between these two cuts along the line 30C indicated in broken lines, which delimits the opening area.
- the upper end 24B of the canal is in the region of this opening area 30C. So when the pocket is torn along the line 30C, the upper end 28B of the tubing suction slightly exceeds the opening made. According to overtaking height, the consumer can leave the tubing suction in this position and directly apply his mouth on this tubing to suck the contents of the container, or make slide the tubing into the channel so as to extract it further of said channel.
- the tubing may have a bead or the like (not shown) limiting its course.
- Figures 1 and 3 show that with the method and the installation of the invention, the cutting line 30C can be realized in order to communicate directly with the outside world part of the interior space 16 located on the other side of the line of 26 relative to the holding channel 24.
- the cutting line 30C can be realized in order to communicate directly with the outside world part of the interior space 16 located on the other side of the line of 26 relative to the holding channel 24.
- FIG. 4 is similar to that of FIG. except that the weld line 26 extends upwards to join the weld line 20B of the upper edge of the pocket.
- the notches 30A and 30B or, in general, the means of weakening which delimit the opening zone 30C, are placed so that this opening area only discovers the upper end 24B of the channel when the pocket is torn, without extending to the part of the interior space on the other side of the weld line 26 with respect to the weld edge 20A.
- the weld line 26 also joins the weld line 20B from the upper edge of the pocket, and the opening area is also made in such a way as to discover only the upper end of channel 24.
- the tubing suction nozzle 28 has an end portion 29 which is connected to the remainder of the tubing 28 by a bellows or the like 29A for folding said end portion 29 against the rest of the tubing 28.
- the width D 'of the channel 24, at least in the part of the latter, is determined in such a way as to allow this channel houses the portion 29 folded.
- the width of the channel 24 is decreasing in the direction towards the bottom 18 of the pocket from its end superior discovered by opening the pocket in the area opening, which allows to better maintain the tubing 28 in this channel and further improve the momentary plugging effect.
- the method and the installation of the invention also allow to place in the container a straw without bellow, as is the case with the straw of the figure 1.
- the suction pipe 28 is naturally maintained in channel 24 under the effect of the slight compression exerted on this manifold the walls 12 and 14 due to their nipping one against the other according to the connecting lines 20A and 26.
- the channel 24 is rectilinear over its entire length.
- the end of the canal next to the opening zone presents a elbow 25 for housing the portion 29 of the suction pipe folded relative to the rest of this tubing 28.
- this elbow is made at right angles to compared to the current portion of channel 24 which is substantially vertically when the pocket is held in the position shown on Figures 1 to 3. It can also be considered that the elbow is tilted further so as to form an acute angle to the current part of the canal.
- the cutting zone 30C only extends in the upper part of the canal. After a first opening of the pocket, the upper part of the straw can be folded back on itself to be arranged in the upper portion of the part channel, which is located under the elbow.
- the channel 24 is rectilinear to an end region 24B located slightly below the 130C cutting area delimited between two notches 130B and 130A located on the two opposite side edges of the pocket. So, when you have to open this pocket, you tear an end part of the pocket extending over its entire width. In this case, to avoid that the liquid contained in the interior space does not flow through the wide part of the opening thus formed, without flowing through the channel 24, the weld line 26 is connected, within the zone of 130C cut, to another weld line 126 which extends substantially perpendicular to line 26, between the end top of the latter and the edge of the pocket that is opposite the channel 24.
- a suction pipe 28 rectilinear, we can take advantage of the space 127 formed between the weld line 126 and the edge upper 120B of the pocket to accommodate an end portion of the tubing folded relative to the current part of the latter.
- the space 127 forms an end region of the channel 24 which extends along the entire width of the pocket.
- Figure 7 is applicable to the container according to the invention, since the straw may be provided with a bellows and that its upper end portion can be folded back on itself by being inserted in the upper part of the canal next to its end region 24B.
- the straw is foldable to come close the upper portion of the canal after opening the container.
- FIG. 9 shows the container according to the invention, on which the upper corner of the pocket was torn off according to the area 30C opening.
- the channel 24 is delimited between an edge 20A of the pocket that constitutes a link line, and the other link line 26 which joins the weld line 20B of the upper edge of the pocket.
- the upper end of the canal opens into the opening area 30C.
- the straw has an end portion 29 susceptible, thanks to the bellows 29A, to be folded on itself.
- the end portion 29 of the straw can be folded against the part of the straw located on the other side of the bellows 29A, and engaged with it in the end portion 24B of the channel 24.
- This end portion has a width D1 which is greater than its width D2 in a zone of restriction 24C. In this area, only part of the straw is folded on itself can be engaged. We see that, indeed, only the region of the lower end 28A of the straw is arranged in this zone of restriction.
- the width of the channel 24 is minimal in the Restriction zone.
- the link line 26 is not rectilinear. Thus, from its maximum width D1, the channel goes through a minimum width D2, before finding a D3 width which is larger at its lower end 24A.
- the link line 26 has a concavity that is turned to the opposite of the channel 24. This favors the realization of the sealing effect due to the restriction 24C. Indeed, the insertion of the folded part of the straw in the upper portion of the canal the leaves that make up the walls of the pocket, and a fold is constituted in the zone of restriction 24C, in which the walls of the canal are pressed against the straw 24. Thus, the liquid can not flow back from the space inside the pocket beyond the 24C restriction. The introduced liquid in the straw remains in the portion of the canal under the folded free end of this straw.
- the connecting line 26 of FIGS. 1 to 5 is rectilinear to which case, in the container of the invention, the width of the channel decreases continuously between its maximum width in the region of its portion top end and a minimum width at its end lower 24A. In this case, the restriction zone is this lower end 24A.
- the part of the connecting line 26 located under the elbow formed by this line in the upper region can be substantially rectilinear in giving to the connecting channel a width which decreases continuously to its lower end. It can also be the same type as the connecting line 26 of FIG. 9.
- FIG. 10 which shows the installation is now described of the invention and makes it possible to better understand the method of the invention.
- the sheets in which will be formed the walls of the pockets are unwound from a film 210 rolled in reel 212.
- This film is folded in a station of folding 214 so as to have two faces 210A and 210B arranged against each other, which constitute the aforesaid sheets.
- the film passes into a soldering station 220, possibly including several welding stations, suitable for practice some of the weld lines of the pocket. Downstream of this station in the direction S of progress of the film, this last pass in another welding station or cutting pockets 230.
- a filling opening having been preserved, the pockets can then be filled with drink and then completely closed and sterilized.
- the installation also includes a commissioning station place of suction tubing or straws in the pockets.
- the lines which delimit the holding channel can be realized downstream of this station, for example in station 220 or be carried out partly upstream and partly downstream from this station or at least partly in this station.
- the suction pipe 28 is put in place between the walls intended to form pockets or in pockets already formed for the most part, before at least one of the connecting lines that delimit the suction channel has been formed.
- this station designated by B and also marked in interrupted dash, may be located after this post.
- Figure 11 illustrates a first possibility for the first variant. It shows schematically in top view the different stages of the straw insertion process between wall pockets and solder these walls.
- the straws are fed on a work surface 300 by feeding means comprising for example a rotary drum 301 step by step whose each longitudinal groove 302 embarks a straw 28 passing under the exit 348 of a hopper and, after a half turn, laying the straw on the 300 horizontal worktop.
- the pockets are intended to be formed transversely to the direction of advance S of the film in the installation.
- the free edge 220A and the fold 220B are respectively to form the upper edge and the bottom of the pockets.
- the introductory opening for straws is provided by the cracking of the two walls 210A and 210B in the region of free edge 220A, using spacing means comprising by example a system of suckers or the like, or an organ wedge-shaped 350 disposed between the two faces of the film and the angle is turned upstream. This spacer member can be fixed if no weld that could hang against him was practiced upstream between the two leaves.
- welds 322 of the bottom of pockets were made before the film's arrival in the station. set up straws.
- Longitudinal welding zone 311B (which does not meet the 350 member during the film's progress) also been practiced. These welds could be realized in a first soldering station (not shown) disposed in upstream of station A of Figure 10.
- the straw 28 is thus placed between the walls 210A and 210B without being accurately positioned.
- straw 28 is pushed against the weld 311B by an sweep or thrust 313 which is initially removed from the path of the film and which, when the straw arranged between the walls, reaches the rigging station, gets closer to the film and sweeps the straw 28 towards the thrust weld 311B moving in a horizontal plane, parallel to the direction S, that is to say in a transverse direction compared to the straw.
- an sweep or thrust 313 which is initially removed from the path of the film and which, when the straw arranged between the walls, reaches the rigging station, gets closer to the film and sweeps the straw 28 towards the thrust weld 311B moving in a horizontal plane, parallel to the direction S, that is to say in a transverse direction compared to the straw.
