Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for determining the degree of contamination of the rinsing liquid in a program-controlled dishwasher equipped with a turbidity sensor, taking from the change in the measurement signals of the sensor corresponding to the contamination the flushing liquid is more or less noisy, a statement about the respective Degree of contamination of the washing liquid to control the washing process becomes.
- the turbidity sensors used in the process consists of a light-emitting element, e.g. B. a light emitting diode (LED), and from a light-receiving element, e.g. B. a phototransistor, which is to be sensed for contamination Flushing or cleaning liquid either directly through the beam path (Measuring section) of the optics is guided (see DE 41 22 988 A1), or scanned by reflection (see US 3 888 269).
- a light-emitting element e.g. B. a light emitting diode (LED)
- a light-receiving element e.g. B. a phototransistor
- the light penetrates the rinsing liquid, whereby Analog measurement signals from Noise corresponding to the contamination of the rinsing liquid more or less high voltage levels are generated at the output of the light receiver.
- the noisy measurement signals indicate the degree of contamination of the Flushing liquid and are after appropriate digital signal processing and amplification used to control the rinsing process.
- a measurement of the Turbidity of the washing liquid when pre-washing or rinsing the dishes is a decision via a water change or an additional rinse cycle before or after the program section Clean.
- the decision to run the program can be done with little dirt Rinsing liquid so that pre-rinsing immediately, i.e.
- the invention advantageously makes it possible to pass through the measuring section of the optical sensor "floating" particles, each of which absorbs the light from the optics for short moments, as Filter out signal jumps and convert them into usable signals.
- the digitized signal jumps are then by means of the computer of the electronic device program control evaluable and control the program run of the dishwasher accordingly the type and amount of pollution determined.
- the invention is based on an electronically program-controlled dishwasher (1), whose manually or automatically selectable wash programs each have separate program sections, such as pre-rinsing, cleaning, rinsing and rinsing, depending on determined degree of soiling of the dishes or washing-up liquid loaded into the machine the pre-rinse and / or intermediate rinse cycles are activated or additionally activated can. After the last rinse program section, a program section usually closes Drying.
- Such dishwashers belong to the general state the technology and have essentially components and accessories, as shown in Fig. 1 the household appliance shown is shown in simplified form. On the concrete presentation of the only The program control (13) of the device shown as an example in block diagram form is the better one For the sake of clarity.
- the (1) designated and schematically shown front-loading household dishwasher has a rinsing tank (2) and several spray arms (3, 4, 5), which over and between crockery baskets (6, 7) and a separate cutlery basket (8) in different Wash levels are arranged in the wash tank (2).
- the spray arms (3, 4, 5) are assigned via Supply lines (11, 12) from the circulating rinsing liquid of an upstream circulation pump (9) fed, the rinsing liquid in the rinsing mode constantly via a filter screen combination (10) is guided out of a fine sieve arranged in the bottom of the washing compartment as well as a coarse sieve and a fine sieve. There are leftovers from the Filtered out rinsing liquid (17).
- the cutlery basket (8) is designed as a cutlery drawer and in a washing level separated from the crockery baskets (6, 7) above the two one above the other lying separate crockery baskets (6, 7) in the washing compartment (2) with their own spray arm (5) arranged.
- the dishes to be cleaned are placed in the baskets (6, 7) and the individual cutlery parts of the place settings in the cutlery basket (8) sorted stored. Depending on the amount of crockery, the crockery baskets (6, 7) can be completely or only be partially loaded.
- a fresh water supply is started at the start of the wash (14) of the device in a known manner lying solenoid valve for the rinse water inlet to the rinsing tank (2) opened. Above a certain water level in the rinse tank (2) the fresh water supply is interrupted and the spray arms (3, 4, 5) are switched on Circulation pump (9) supplied with the supplied rinsing liquid and rotate.
- the one Rinse tank (2) amount of rinsing liquid supplied for dishwashing is largely from controlled depending on the amount of dishes to be cleaned. In addition, are in the flushing mode Amounts of rinse water to be supplied or liquid changes also from the ones that occur Dish soiling dependent. In particular, rinsing water contamination, for example dirt particles that are difficult or impossible to dissolve, such as spinach residues or the like, which "float" in the rinsing liquid, have a negative effect on the rinsing result impact. This is where the invention comes in.
- Such measurement signals (16) are shown in the signal diagrams according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the turbidity measuring sensor used consists of a light-emitting element (15a), for. B. a light emitting diode (LED) and a light-receiving element (15b), e.g. B. a photo transistor, the rinsing or cleaning liquid (17) to be sensed for contamination directly through the beam path of the optics in a preferably calmed measuring section (18) is directed.
- the measurement is therefore carried out with moderately agitated rinsing liquid.
- the turbidity sensor (15) is advantageous in the watercourse to the upper spray arm (5), for example in a bypass (19) or parallel by-pass Spray arm feed line (12) arranged.
- the calmed measuring section (18) can also be the supply line can be connected in parallel to another spray arm of the dishwasher (1). This ensures that any air bubbles are separated and not as dirt particles can be detected.
- the turbidity sensor (15) used works with the transmitted light method. With this principle the light penetrates the rinsing liquid (17), the corresponding to the contamination of the Flushing liquid the more or less large analog measurement signal (16) at the output of the light receiver (15b) is generated. From the change in the measurement signals (16) of the turbidity sensor (15), which noises more or less according to the contamination of the washing liquid are a statement on the respective degree of contamination of the washing liquid Control of the rinsing process taken.
- the generated measurement signal (16) corresponding signal jumps (20) according to FIGS. 2 and 3 are generated.
- the method according to the invention provides for these signal jumps (20) to be filtered out and converted into usable signals. This is a detection of the dirt particle concentration and also a determination the particle sizes (width of the signal jumps 20) and the number of those in the rinsing liquid (17) existing dirt particles possible.
- the noisy measurement signal (16), Fig. 2 is filtered and amplified.
- the measurement signal (16) supplied by the turbidity sensor (15) passed through a high-pass filter, not shown, an amplifier and an inverting stage.
- the signal evaluation can For example, be such that the signal pattern of the digitized measurement signals generated according to FIG. 3 (16 ') with in the computer of the device electronics in a programmable memory, for example stored signal images are compared, which specific types of contamination, Soiling, particles and the like are assigned. From the frequency and the The computer then concludes the respective duration of the signal dip (20) in the measurement signal Number and size of the particles in the rinsing liquid and their dirt concentration. Depending on the comparison result, the program run of the device is then interfered with.
- the curve in FIGS. 2 and 3 clearly represents that provided by the turbidity sensor (15) Measurement signal and the signal forms derived from it via signal duration (T) and signal height (Voltage U).
- Fig. 2 shows a possible waveform of the measurement signal (16), as in one with spinach dirty washing liquid (17) is typical. Similar signal curves result for particles of bread crumbs, etc. The particles floating past the optics in the rinsing liquid absorb the light of the light-emitting diode when crossing the measuring path (18). The light absorption causes a brief dip in the transistor output voltage, causing the aforementioned signal dips or jumps (20) of the signal are identified.
- the Measurement signal (16) is inverted, then electronically processed. After digitization in a comparator it can be evaluated by the computer.
- the inverted measurement signal (16 ') is illustrated by signal curve I and the digitized signal by curve II in FIG. 3. With the latter signal, the digitized signal jumps to be evaluated in the computer are designated 20 '.
