Definitions
- the invention relates to a wall component for limitation of filled with melt, in particular slag melt Rooms.
- wall components are in particular To understand components that have a fire-resistant lining or integrate such refractory training.
- melting units, channels and especially for one Slag tundish are thermally resistant linings required in the area of tap openings or in the case of a slag tundish in the area of Tundish outlet and in gutters in addition to the thermal stress also a shear stress caused by the flowing melt are exposed.
- Refractory materials usually need to depend on the nature of the expected melt be matched and it is known that for acidic slags other materials must be chosen than for strong basic slags to increase wear due to to prevent chemical corrosion.
- the invention now aims to provide wall components for a large number of different slags, and in particular for blast furnace slag, steel works slag or even glass melts, which are to be distinguished by improved resistance to chemical attacks and at the same time by a reduced thermal load.
- the wall component according to the invention essentially consists in that the surface of the wall component facing the melt is formed with at least one outlet opening for evaporating liquids, in particular water.
- a vapor cushion forms between hot melts and a wall wetted by liquids, such as water, which prevents the melt from coming into direct contact with the wall.
- Such a vapor film also shows a clear lubricant effect, so that melts with a higher viscosity and a lower temperature can be used, whereby particularly thin-walled melt webs can flow off. It is therefore only necessary to arrange the outlet opening in such a way that a vapor cushion that is as uniform as possible can be maintained between the refractory lining or the wall component and the melt, so that any refractory materials such as SiC, alumina (Al 2 O 3 ), magnesite, chamotte but also steel, regardless of the chemical aggressiveness of the melt, and at the same time intensive and effective cooling of the wall component is ensured even with a correspondingly reduced thermal load.
- any refractory materials such as SiC, alumina (Al 2 O 3 ), magnesite, chamotte but also steel, regardless of the chemical aggressiveness of the melt, and at the same time intensive and effective cooling of the wall component is ensured even with a correspondingly reduced thermal load.
- outlet openings for evaporating liquids can be realized in that the outlet opening (s) as Outlet slot (s) is (are).
- Such outlet slots can directly with the supply lines for the evaporating Liquids are connected, and for example as slots in a tubular wall of the feed line be formed inside the wall component. With accordingly The formation of homogeneous porosity of a surface can but can also be made so that the outlet opening (s) is (are) designed as a porous surface.
- Essential for the dimensioning of the outlet openings, and in particular the outlet slots or the pores of the surface only the objective is to be as uniform as possible Vapor cushion between the wall component and that of the wall component to ensure limited spaces filled with melt, which, on the one hand, is based on a corresponding geometric arrangement of Outlet openings and the other by appropriate dimensioning succeeds easily.
- the training can be made in a particularly simple manner be that the outlet openings as grooves in the melt facing surface of the wall component are formed, a corresponding feed line opening into all grooves got to.
- the training is so made that the outlet opening (s) with at least one supply line is (are) connected, in which a the flow rate of the Liquid regulating actuator is switched on, so that in this way the corresponding steam cushion is continuously maintained can be.
- the wall component in a preferred use of the wall component as an annular Building block for the melt outlet of a tundish or the The tapping opening of a pan is an advantage taken that the wall component has an annular cross section, that the slot-shaped outlet opening is along the Inner shell of the wall component extends and that one with the slot-shaped outlet opening connected, annular water chamber is provided in the wall component.
- pores or grooves is the formation preferably made so that the wall component made of refractory material, for example made of SiC.
- the wall component made of refractory material for example made of SiC.
- slits or pores is an advantage the training taken so that the axes of the outlet openings with the surface of the melt facing Wall component pointed in the area of the outlet openings Include angles.
- FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a Partial area of a tap opening or an outlet for molten slag
- Fig. 2 is shown schematically modified design of the wall component
- Fig. 3 a Tundish or stove spout for molten material
- Fig. 4 a modified design of such a tap opening
- FIG. 5 shows a partial view of a tundish outlet in cross section shown.
- a wall component 1 is shown, in which a tubular channel 2 for the supply of evaporating liquids is arranged.
- the refractory wall component 1 is made made of silicon carbide.
- a slot 3 opening on the surface of the wall component 1 provided, via which evaporating liquids emerge can.
- the melt flow is indicated schematically at 4. at 2 are instead of the tubular feed channels with slots grooves 5 can be seen which laterally with evaporating liquids, and in particular Water.
- the flowing molten Medium is again indicated with 4.
- FIG. 3 shows a pan 6, whose bottom area carries an outlet opening 7.
- this outlet opening 7 has a particularly high shear stress and therefore there are again liquid supply channels 2 with radially inward to the axis 8 of the outlet opening 7 directed slots 3 are provided.
- the liquid is supplied via an annular channel 2 and passes through radial slots 9 and upward Slots 10 to the molten medium 11 facing Surface of the wall component.
- the bottom of 12 is one Tundish called.
- the melt level is indicated at 13.
- a dip tube 15 made of refractory Material provided in the direction of the double arrow 16 is adjustable to a regulated height
- a driving nozzle 17 can be seen via which the flowing through the opening 14 Slag can be atomized.
- feed lines 18 and 19 are provided, from which evaporating liquid in each case led through slots to the wall adjacent to the melt becomes.
