Definitions

  • the invention relates to a child safety seat for attachment to vehicle seats of a motor vehicle, which includes a frame with a padded seat and back plane and a hoof frame.
  • a large number of safety systems are already known which are intended to protect a person sitting in a vehicle against injuries in the event of a sudden deceleration of the vehicle movement which occur, for example, when the vehicle collides against a fixed resistance.
  • the person sitting in the vehicle is thrown against any deceleration movement against any base in the vehicle, for example the dashboard, the windscreen, the front seat, etc.
  • the person's injuries often lead to accidental death because there is insufficient protection, in particular of the person's head and upper body.
  • a child seat that is attached to the vehicle.
  • Such a child seat is usually hooked into and locked in the seat belt holders provided on the rear bench of the vehicle.
  • the child seat itself often has its own seat belts that are or can be adjusted to the size of the child.
  • the seat belt system is largely limited in its effectiveness.
  • Airbag systems serve to protect the driver of a motor vehicle in the event of an accident, ie in the event of an abrupt deceleration in the speed of the vehicle. They include at least one self-inflating airbag, which is usually housed in the steering wheel hub trim or in the dashboard of a vehicle. If the vehicle collides against a fixed resistance, sensors release the airbag, which is then suddenly filled with air or gas and inflates. As a result, the upper body and the head of the person flinging forward are braked by the airbag and their kinetic energy is absorbed. Due to the relatively soft impact of the driver's head or upper body on the inflated Injuries are prevented or at least the risk of injury is reduced.
  • four-wheeled motor vehicles are now equipped with more than one airbag.
  • Further airbags are designed in the dashboard for the front passenger, in the rare pillars or roof pillars of the vehicle, which are also intended to protect the passengers in the event of a side impact of the vehicle.
  • a child carried in the child seat of the vehicle is not protected by airbags. In the event of an accident, this is only protected by the padding of the child seat and the safety belts that may be present.
  • the object is achieved in that the child safety seat on the rear sides of two adjacent vehicle seats can be used in their backrests or headrests and the frame has at least one protective cushion which is designed as an airbag which is automatically inflated in the event of an abrupt deceleration of the movement of the motor vehicle.
  • an airbag in the frame of the child safety seat ensures a relatively large protection of the entire body of the child in a vehicle, as a result
  • This airbag protects the most essential parts of the body that are most exposed to injuries in the event of an accident.
  • the child is no longer protected solely by the padding of the child seat and the seat belts that may be present, but also, and much more effectively, by the airbag.
  • the km-safety seat can either be attached to the backrests or the headrests of two vehicle seats located adjacent to the vehicle.
  • the frame has two spaced apart hooks for attachment to the backrests or headrests of the adjacent vehicle seats. These can most suitably be U-shaped, i.e. angled downward, be formed. Furthermore, the backrests or headrests of the adjacent vehicle seats have punch holes for receiving the support hooks of the frame.
  • the child safety seat can then be attached with its back plane in contact with the back of the backrests or the headrests of the vehicle seat. In this way, a simple but secure attachment of the child safety seat in the vehicle takes place, the child looking opposite to the direction of travel. This has the advantage that the child is less exposed to the risk of injury in the event of an accident, since his body weight is practically pressed into the seat.
