Definitions

  • the invention relates to a transformable light display, suitable for the enhancement of one or more object (s), or an image (it can be the reproduction of such objects).
  • the light displays generally include, to be able to generate the desired lighting power, light sources bulky and high consumption, and therefore leading to significant heat emissions which can lead, in the long run, to a degradation of the image or product to be highlighted.
  • the subject of the invention is a transformable light display, able at will, without complex disassembly, to serve as a light panel highlighting an image, or serving as a niche for presenting one or several object (s), this display allowing sufficient lighting to put the image or the product in value, without generating heat likely to degrade this image or product.
  • Such a display is convertible in the sense that it has two possible configurations, depending on whether the removable front panel is in place, or no (when this panel closes the opening, the support can remain in place, but it is generally preferable to remove it in order to allow a direct lighting of the translucent wall by the plurality of rear sources.
  • Front and rear light sources are light sources cold, which does not lead to any significant heating. It is therefore possible to put as many sources as you want (within the space limits available, of course) without having to worry about damaging the translucent wall or the exposed product.
  • the display of the invention aims to allow, as desired, to highlight an image or a product, you have to understand that some aforementioned displays may, as desired, have a wall solid, i.e. constant in color, white or colored, which corresponds to images of a very specific type.
  • the cold light sources are diodes electroluminescent, some of which are known to have powers compatible with lighting functions. Thanks to their small dimensions and their low consumption, they are very easy to install.
  • the display admits several regimes lighting, that is to say that the supply circuit has at least two modes of operation corresponding to different regimes of excitation of the plurality of front light sources and the plurality of light sources back. It is indeed clear that it may be desired when the panel is in place, favor the rear lighting while, when it comes to value a product, the front lighting may deserve to be privileged, the rear lighting may remain, for example to create a halo effect.
  • a at least part of the plurality of rear light sources is less energized only in a second operating regime, while in this first regime at least part of the plurality of front sources is more excited than in the second regime.
  • the plurality of front sources is advantageously formed from various groups each having a plurality of excitation regimes. Playing separately on the excitation regimes of these various groups we can thus obtain a wide variety of lighting effects, suitable for highlighting various aspects of the displayed product.
  • the plurality of rear sources is arranged in a central zone at the bottom of the box, being advantageously distributed in an at least approximately periodic network. This leads to lighting homogeneous particularly well suited for back lighting the wall translucent front panel, or even the support.
  • the box preferably has a polygonal section (for example rectangular or even square), which facilitates obtaining a set of contiguous displays; in this case the rear source network includes advantageously alignments of sources parallel to at least some of the walls of this box, which leads to an aesthetic geometry of the effect rear lighting.
  • a polygonal section for example rectangular or even square
  • the front sources can be divided into groups with a specific spatial arrangement relative to the box. It is as well as preferably, the plurality of front sources comprises at least two groups of sources arranged laterally on either side of the opening. This allows, either a symmetry, or on the contrary a dissymmetry of the effects right and left lighting.
  • the plurality from front sources includes (in addition or not right and left groups above) at least two groups of sources arranged respectively at the bottom and at the top of the box.
  • the light sources are preferably of the same color, this which can meet most lighting needs: the white color is particularly well suited.
  • the support advantageously comprises a bottom wall which has sufficient surface to hide the plurality of sources rear lights; this allows a pleasant halo effect, and allows to obtain diffuse light, when this bottom wall is made of translucent material. Other aesthetic choices can of course be made.
  • This support can also have a slightly more complex form, of so as to better fill the internal volume of the box.
  • the support has a wall bottom and a front wall having an opening opposite this wall bottom, this bottom wall and this front wall being dimensioned and arranged in relation to each other so as to conceal jointly the plurality of rear light sources.
  • Figure 1 shows schematically the general structure of a transformable light display 1 according to the invention.
  • These sources are sources of cold light.
  • This display has two configurations, depending on whether the front panel is, or not, in place; when this panel is in place, the support 6 is not preferably not in place, so as to allow direct lighting of the translucent panel by the rear light sources (the sources front lights, not being useful, can be turned off or turned on minimum lighting configuration); when, on the other hand, the front panel is not not in place, the support 6 is notably lit by the light sources front while rear light sources may, in some configurations, be turned off.
  • the different source feeding regimes front and rear lights are defined by the supply circuit 10, which may include predefined feeding modes depending on the configuration concerned (between which a choice can be made using a switch). In the example considered, the same box can be used to order the supply of several boxes (provided they are in the same working configuration (therefore with or without the front panel).
  • the removable panel 5 here has an area equal to that of the face front of the box, so that, when in place, it hides the rim 4; but it is visible in the configuration without panel and must therefore be treated accordingly, by polishing and painting or lacquering (etc).
  • This ledge has in practice a small dimension compared to the dimensions of the box, by example of the order of its thickness. In fact, the main role of this ledge is at least partially obscuring the front light sources; insofar where these sources can be oriented with a non-zero tilt by compared to the walls of the box, they can be mounted on an element reported itself inclined relative to the wall considered; in this case (see Figures 2 to 5) the rim can be used to hide the edge of this element reported. However, it should be understood that there is no minimum for the dimension of this rim which can therefore, at the limit be simply constituted by the free edge of the box wall considered.
  • the box here has a rectangular parallelepiped shape, but other forms are possible, for example squares but also more usually polygons (such as hexagons, easy to stack). No condition on this form exists when it is no longer planned to have a plurality of displays contiguously.
  • the plurality of rear light sources is advantageously distributed in a central zone at the bottom of the box, for example in the form a rectangular or even square mesh network (preferably, but not necessarily similar to the shape of the box section parallel to the front opening).
  • the plurality of front light sources is advantageously distributed over a line running along all or part of the rim; in the example shown schematically in Figure 1, there are sources 9 not only along the edges lateral, but also along the lower and upper edges.
  • front light sources are distributed over approximately the entire length of the side considered.
  • the sources before may be arranged only along some of these sides, or even on a only part of some of these sides, in a middle part or not of them. Having these sources before in a narrow band can also be obtained by staggered distribution of smaller sources; but as a variant, these front sources can also be grouped in clusters in selected areas from the front of the cabinet.
  • the front and rear light sources there may be more than one diet supply of the front and rear light sources. This is how it can have a regime in which only the rear sources are supplied; this speed can be chosen for the configuration where the front panel is in place.
  • Another scheme may consist in mainly supplying the sources before, especially for the configuration in which a support is arranged in the box; in this regime, the front sources can be fed from the same way or not, depending on whether they are on the sides or bottom and top (there so there may be groups of sources fed differently, depending on the needs), and the rear sources can either be turned off or powered as in the first regime, be fed in an intermediate manner.
  • there can be forms of support which, being lit from behind, contribute to the development of the object presented on this support. it will emerge from the following figures. There can therefore be a plurality of possible operation in configuration without panel, depending on effect desired lighting on the chosen support or on the exhibited object.
  • Figures 2 to 4 show in more detail the light display transformable of figure 1. As these figures represent this display in configuration of presentation of a product on a support, the front panel is not shown. However, Figure 3 symbolizes by the small squares noted 100 any suitable element allowing, when desired, the fixing of this panel.
  • the reference signs appearing in these figures repeat those that have already been used in connection with Figure 1, except for that concerns the support which is of a different type
  • the area on which the sources rear are spread may extend over 2/3 of the width and height.
  • the front sources they are arranged on strips 11 slightly inclined with respect to the lateral wall considered, of a angle for example between 10 ° and 30 °, which allows these sources are themselves inclined relative to the walls of the box and illuminate correctly what is on the medium even when these sources are directional, i.e. have a narrow angle of illumination (for example of the order about ten degrees).
  • the light sources are preferably diodes electrolumiscentes (LED for short, in English), which present various advantages over incandescent, halogen or fluorescence. It should be noted that these diodes are used for lighting purposes while they are best known for uses in which their function is to be seen.
  • diodes in the form of cylinders of the order of 5 mm in diameter, 9 mm long and finished by a hemispherical cap.
  • Such diodes have a lifespan which can exceed 50,000 hours under a current of the order of 20 mA.
  • the light intensity is proportional to the current flowing through the diode, which allows a gradation of light intensity, without chromatic change.
  • These are sources cold in the sense that their temperature does not in practice exceed 25 ° C.
  • They have typically an opening comprised, as desired, between 6 ° and 120 ° (knowing that the larger the opening angle, the lower the light intensity. They are preferably mounted in parallel.
  • the light sources are preferably white, but in a variant not shown, both the sources before and the sources rear can be colored (in particular, blue, green, yellow, amber, red ).
  • the support 16 which, in Figures 2 to 4, is arranged in the box has two walls, one of which is in front of the other, which allows occupy the internal volume of this box.
  • the bottom wall 16A of this support is here dimensioned and arranged so as to hide at least approximately the plurality of rear sources;
  • the front wall 16B of this support has an opening opposite this bottom wall, which defines inside the box a smaller niche, in particular formed by a base plate 16C carrying an elementary support 16D, facilitating the setting in value of object having a small size compared to the box;
  • this principle can be kept with supports with a smaller bottom wall but in this case, this bottom wall and this front wall are nevertheless advantageously sized and arranged relative to each other in sort of jointly obscuring the plurality of rear light sources.
  • This support 26 essentially comprises a bottom wall 26A and a base plate 26C supporting an elementary support 26C. To her only this bottom wall is advantageously sufficient to mask the plurality of sources back. But, depending on the desired effects, we can choose more dimensions low.
  • these walls can be in very diverse materials, opaque or on the contrary transparent with all desired intermediate shades (or all possible combinations opaque, translucent and transparent areas).
