Abstract

La balance de pesage (10) pour un produit de consommation vendu au détail, notamment un produit alimentaire, comporte un organe de pesage (11), une unité de calcul (12) et deux unités d'affichage (13, 14). L'organe de pesage (11) est un organe autonome standard qui comporte un socle (15) et un plateau de pesage (16). L'unité de calcul (12) est un ordinateur standard solidaire d'un support (18) et couplé à l'organe de pesage (11). Cet ordinateur comprend un logiciel de calcul agencé pour calculer le prix des produits pesés au moyen de l'organe de pesage et des touches de fonction (19). Il est également équipé d'un lecteur de bandes magnétiques (20) et d'un lecteur optique (21) de disques compacts destinés à l'affichage simultané de moyens publicitaires efficaces et attrayants destinés à un acheteur. L'unité d'affichage (13) est destinée à un vendeur tandis que l'unité d'affichage (14) pourvue de moyens de reproduction sonores (22) est orientée vers l'acheteur pour permettre, en plus de l'affichage des caractéristiques du produit acheté, la diffusion de spots publicitaires.

Description

BALANCE DE PESAGE D'UN OBJET, NOTAMMENT D'UN PRODUIT DE CONSOMMATION
Domaine technique La présente invention concerne une balance de pesage d'un objet, notamment d'un produit de consommation, en particulier d'un produit alimentaire vendu au détail par un vendeur à un acheteur, cette balance comportant un organe de pesage, au moins une première et une seconde unité d'affichage de données relatives à la nature, au poids et au prix de l'objet acheté, orientées respectivement vers le vendeur et vers l'acheteur, au moins une unité de calcul pour déterminer le prix de cet objet en fonction de son poids et une unité d'impression d'une étiquette portant des données relatives à la nature, au poids et au prix de l'objet.
Technique antérieure
On connaît déjà des balances de pesée, utilisées pour la vente de produits alimentaires à la coupe tels que la viande, la charcuterie, le fromage, le poisson ou d'autres produits, notamment les fruits ou les légumes dans les magasins de détail, qui comportent ces différents composants. L'affichage s'effectue au moyen d'un grand écran orienté du côté du vendeur et qui affiche toutes les données qui lui sont nécessaires, telles que la nature du produit vendu, son poids, son prix etc. et un second petit écran orienté du côté de l'acheteur, qui affiche les données essentielles pour lui, à savoir le poids et le coût.
Sur certaines balances, ce second écran est conçu pour afficher également un message publicitaire défilant, sous une forme écrite, par exemple un message alphanumérique concernant une action promotionnelle faite à l'intérieur du magasin.
Cet affichage a pour but d'attirer l'attention du consommateur sur les produits en promotion, étant donné que son regard est automatiquement, et presque obligatoirement, attiré par l'écran qui affiche le poids et le coût du produit qu'il vient d'acheter.
Toutefois, cet affichage reste relativement petit et peu visible, car il est noyé dans la masse des données qui apparaissent sur l'écran. Le message affiché, qu'il soit statique ou défilant, ne remplit pas sa mission qui consiste à inciter le client à l'achat ou du moins à mettre son intérêt en éveil.
En outre, les balances de pesée connues sont des instruments complets dont tous les composants sont intégrés et dont la partie électronique est spécifique à chaque type de balance. Les composants de ces balances comprennent essentiellement un organe de pesage, un calculateur avec son clavier et une unité d'affichage. Le calculateur n'offre aucune autre possibilité que sa fonction élémentaire de calcul en vue de l'affichage du prix et de l'impression d'une étiquette. Chaque type de balance est spécifique et pratiquement aucun composant principal n'est standard. De ce fait, le prix de revient de ces balances est élevé et toute modification fonctionnelle n'est réalisable que suite à une modification structurelle. Tout perfectionnement implique la conception et la réalisation d'un nouveau produit ou d'une nouvelle gamme de produits dont la conception et la construction sont différentes de celles des produits antérieurs.
Ces inconvénients des balances de pesée existantes font qu'elles sont mal adaptées au commerce de détail tel qu'il se pratique actuellement. D'une part, elles ne sont pas adaptées à la mission publicitaire qui pourrait leur être attribuée et, d'autre part, elles n'offrent aucune flexibilité et ne peuvent pas être adaptées de manière permanente aux besoins du marché en constante évolution. En effet, un des rêves des responsables de la publicité dans les magasins, et notamment dans les grandes surfaces, est de pouvoir faire de la publicité dynamique sur les lieux de vente. Les grands écrans de publicité disposés à proximité des caisses dans certaines grandes surfaces commerciales, théoriquement pour remplir cette fonction, sont inefficaces car les acheteurs ont terminé leurs achats lorsqu'ils arrivent près des caisses. Dans une grande surface, les seuls endroits où l'acheteur est obligé de s'arrêter et d'attendre pour être servi sont les rayons où il achète des produits en vrac à la coupe. Ces endroits sont donc intéressants pour la diffusion de publicité dynamique.
Exposé de l'invention
Le but de la présente invention est de pallier l'ensemble des inconvénients mentionnés ci-dessus en offrant une balance qui permet, de par sa conception et sa construction, de remplir de nouvelles fonctions correspondant aux impératifs du marché, au moyen d'équipements aussi proches que possibles des matériels standards, qui ne nécessitent pas de modifications constructives fondamentales pour s'adapter à l'évolution des besoins du marché, et qui permettent en outre de fournir des moyens publicitaires efficaces et attrayants.
Ce but est atteint par une balance telle que décrite en préambule, caractérisée en ce que ladite unité de calcul est intégrée dans un ordinateur standard connecté audit organe de pesage, ledit ordinateur comportant ladite première unité d'affichage et étant en outre couplé à ladite seconde unité d'affichage.
Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, ladite seconde unité d'affichage orientée vers l'acheteur est agencée pour permettre en outre la diffusion de spots publicitaires audiovisuels.
De façon préférentielle, ladite première et ladite seconde unité d'affichage sont constituées par deux écrans standards de l'ordinateur standard qui intègre ladite unité de calcul associée audit organe de pesage.
Selon un mode de réalisation avantageux, ledit ordinateur standard est équipé de logiciels spécifiques pour permettre l'affichage de menus, dits menus déroulants, sur ladite première unité d'affichage. D'une manière préférentielle, ledit ordinateur standard est équipé de logiciels spécifiques pour permettre l'affichage de spots publicitaires animés sur ladite seconde unité d'affichage.
A cet effet, ledit ordinateur standard comporte de préférence au moins un lecteur d'un support standard de données correspondant auxdits spots publicitaires. Ce lecteur est avantageusement un lecteur de bandes magnétiques ou un lecteur optique de disques compacts.
Selon une forme de réalisation particulièrement avantageuse, ledit ordinateur standard peut être connecté en réseau avec un serveur agencé pour piloter de manière prédéterminée la diffusion de spots publicitaires sur ladite seconde unité d'affichage.
En vue d'une diffusion personnalisée de spots publicitaires, ledit ordinateur standard peut comporter un lecteur de carte personnelle de l'acheteur et des moyens pour diffuser un spot publicitaire sélectionné dans une banque de données et adapté à des caractéristiques correspondant à des habitudes d'achats identifiées à partir de cette carte personnelle.

La présente invention et ses avantages apparaîtront mieux dans la description suivante d'une forme de réalisation préférée de l'invention décrite, à titre d'exemple non limitatif, en référence aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels :
- la figure 1 illustre de façon schématique une première forme de réalisation de la balance de pesage selon l'invention,
la figure 2 représente une seconde forme de réalisation préférée de la balance de pesage selon l'invention, et
- la figure 3 représente, à titre d'illustration, une vue de l'écran qui constitue la seconde unité d'affichage de la balance de pesage selon l'invention.
Manière(s) de réaliser l'invention
La balance de pesage 10 de l'invention, telle que représentée par la figure 1 , comporte principalement un organe de pesage 11 , un ordinateur standard 12 avec son écran qui constitue une première unité d'affichage 13 et une seconde unité d'affichage 14. L'organe de pesage 11 comprend une cellule de pesage autonome standard, connue en soi et non représentée, logée dans un socle 15 sous la forme d'un boîtier sur lequel est disposé un plateau de pesage 16. Ce boîtier contient en outre un dispositif d'impression d'étiquettes (non représenté) qui délivre des étiquettes portant les indications relatives à la nature du produit, à son poids et au prix à travers une fente 17 ménagée dans le socle 15.
L'ordinateur standard 12 est avantageusement monté sur un support 18 et connecté par des câbles passant à l'intérieur du support à l'organe de pesage 11. Cet ordinateur comporte, d'une manière connue en soi, un logiciel de calcul agencé pour calculer le prix des produits pesés au moyen de l'organe de pesage et des touches de fonction 19. L'écran 13 de cet ordinateur est de préférence un écran tactile qui permet d'afficher toutes les indications nécessaires au fonctionnement de la balance, par exemple au moyen de menus dits «menus déroulants». Par ailleurs, il est équipé de moyens de lecture de supports de données, tels que par exemple un lecteur 20 de bandes magnétiques ou un lecteur optique 21 de disques compacts.
La seconde unité d'affichage 14 est constituée de préférence d'un écran à cristaux liquides ou similaire et d'un dispositif de reproduction et de diffusion de messages sonores, par exemple des haut-parleurs 22 incorporés ou fixés latéralement à cet écran.
La figure 2 représente une forme de réalisation préférée de la balance de pesage 110 selon l'invention. Elle comprend, comme celle de la figure 1 , un organe de pesage 111 , un ordinateur standard 112 qui est associé à une première unité d'affichage 113 et à une seconde unité d'affichage 114. Dans cette forme de réalisation, les deux unités d'affichage sont directement montées sur des cadres 113a et 114a articulés par rapport au boîtier 112a de l'ordinateur 112. Ils sont avantageusement plats, du type à cristaux liquides. L'organe de pesage 111 est prolongé à l'arrière par un support 115 composé d'une embase 116 et de deux colonnes 117 portant l'ordinateur 112 et les deux unités d'affichage 113 et 114. Cette forme de réalisation très compacte permet de remplir l'ensemble des fonctions prévues. L'ordinateur est équipé de logiciels qui permettent de gérer simultanément les deux écrans. Il est mis en réseau avec un serveur qui permet de diffuser les spots publicitaires de façon automatique, préprogrammée ou à la demande, de façon sélective. Les spots peuvent être téléchargés ou chargés au moyen de lecteurs appropriés.
Du fait que l'élément principal de la balance est un ordinateur standard, cette balance acquiert toute l'intelligence d'un ordinateur et peut évoluer en fonction de l'évolution des logiciels qui sont chargés dans l'ordinateur.
Comme illustré plus en détail par la figure 3, l'écran constituant ladite seconde unité d'affichage 14, tournée vers l'acheteur, comporte une plage centrale 23, de préférence de relativement grande dimension, qui permet d'afficher un spot publicitaire statique ou animé. D'autres plages d'affichage sont prévues au bas de l'écran ou latéralement, par exemple, une première plage 24 pour l'affichage de la nature du produit acheté, une deuxième plage 25 pour l'affichage du poids de ce produit et une troisième plage 26 pour l'affichage de son prix. Les haut-parleurs 22 peuvent éventuellement diffuser un message sonore simultanément à l'émission du spot publicitaire sur l'écran.
Le spot publicitaire est essentiellement destiné à l'acheteur. Les logiciels contenus dans l'ordinateur pilotent sélectivement les informations affichées. Ainsi, il peut être prévu que les messages soient personnalisés et diffèrent d'un client à l'autre. A cet effet, l'ordinateur est en liaison avec une banque de données qui contient un ensemble de spots publicitaires et qui peut les diffuser sélectivement à la demande. La demande peut être adaptée au client. Elle est par exemple identifiée au moyen d'une carte de fidélité qui permet de connaître de façon certaine les intentions d'achats du client en se basant sur ses achats précédents.
De cette manière on ne dispose pas uniquement d'un moyen efficace pour faire de la publicité directement sur les lieux de vente des produits, mais on dispose également d'un moyen permettant d'adapter cette publicité au client individuel en fonction de ses habitudes d'achats, donc de ses centres d'intérêts.
Etant donné que tous les composants de la balance de pesage, à savoir l'organe de pesage, l'ordinateur et la seconde unité d'affichage sont des composants standards, le coût de l'ensemble est relativement bas. En outre, le fait de disposer d'un véritable ordinateur à la place de l'unité de calcul classique d'une balance permet de disposer d'une infinité de fonctions supplémentaires et de bénéficier d'une souplesse de fonctionnement et d'adaptation inégalée.

Claims

REVENDICATIONS
1. Balance de pesage d'un objet, notamment d'un produit de consommation, en particulier d'un produit alimentaire vendu au détail par un vendeur à un acheteur, cette balance comportant un organe de pesage, au moins une première et une seconde unité d'affichage de données relatives à la nature, au poids et au prix de l'objet acheté, orientées respectivement vers le vendeur et vers l'acheteur, au moins une unité de calcul pour déterminer le prix de cet objet en fonction de son poids et une unité d'impression d'une étiquette portant des données relatives à la nature, au poids et au prix de l'objet, caractérisée en ce que ladite unité de calcul est intégrée dans un ordinateur standard (12, 112) connecté audit organe de pesage (11 , 111), ledit ordinateur comportant ladite première unité d'affichage (13, 113) et étant en outre couplé à ladite seconde unité d'affichage (14, 114).
2. Balance selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée en ce que ladite seconde unité d'affichage (14, 114) orientée vers l'acheteur est agencée pour permettre en outre la diffusion de spots publicitaires audiovisuels.
3. Balance selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée en ce que ladite première (13, 113) et ladite seconde unité d'affichage (14, 114) sont constituées par deux écrans standards de l'ordinateur standard (12, 112) qui intègre ladite unité de calcul associée à l'organe de pesage (11 , 111).
4. Balance selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée en ce que ledit ordinateur standard (12) est équipé de logiciels spécifiques pour permettre l'affichage de menus dits menus déroulants sur ladite première unité d'affichage (13).
5. Balance selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée en ce que ledit ordinateur standard (12) est équipé de logiciels spécifiques pour permettre l'affichage de spots publicitaires animés sur ladite seconde unité d'affichage (14).
6. Balance selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que ledit ordinateur standard (12) comporte au moins un lecteur d'un support standard de données correspondant auxdits spots publicitaires.
7. Balance selon la revendication 6, caractérisée en ce que ledit lecteur est un lecteur de bandes magnétiques (20).
8. Balance selon la revendication 6, caractérisée en ce que ledit lecteur est un lecteur optique (21) de disques compacts.
9. Balance selon la revendication 1 , caractérisée en ce que ledit ordinateur standard (12, 112) est connecté en réseau avec un serveur agencé pour piloter de manière prédéterminée la diffusion de spots publicitaires sur ladite seconde unité d'affichage (14, 114).
