Definitions

  • Such a pressure chamber doctor blade is known for example from DE 299 17 979.6 U1.
  • the displacement body is embedded in a recess of the chamber and screwed to the doctor blade head.
  • the medium to be applied is passed through lateral openings in the displacement body in the pressure chamber, resulting in a homogeneous distribution of the medium over the axial extent of the pressure chamber and thus in the order gap.
  • such a pressure chamber is relatively difficult to clean for a change of the medium to be applied or in an interruption of the operation.
  • sets The partially sticky and highly viscous medium stuck in the thread of the screw and can be removed only with great difficulty or only with aggressive solvents. Also, the breakthroughs can clog quickly.
  • the invention is therefore the object of a pressure chamber doctor blade of the type described in such a way that the medium can be performed by a very narrow opening in the pressure chamber. Furthermore, the displacement body should be easy to clean and easy to assemble.
  • the displacement body and doctor blade each have mutually facing contact surfaces, the pressure chamber side between them define at least one gap which opens into the pressure chamber and connects it to the feed, so that the medium passes into the pressure chamber.
  • the medium thus flows from at least one feed channel through the displacement body and the gap in the pressure chamber.
  • the at least one gap is formed by a depression on a contact surface of the displacement body and / or on a corresponding contact surface of the doctor blade.
  • a depression can be performed with simple means in only a shallow depth, so that in the assembled position, a gap is formed with a small clear gap.
  • the at least one gap is formed by spacers, which are arranged between the corresponding contact surfaces of the displacement body and doctor blade head.
  • spacers can be made in register and in a small thickness, which thickness then defines the gap. by both measures, a clear gap in the assembled position of less than 2.0 mm and preferably less than 1.0 mm can be formed.
  • the feed opens before the gap in the displacement body. It is favorable if the feed comprises an axially extending recess in the displacement body and / or the squeegee head from which the gap extends. This has the advantage that, even with only one central feed of the medium into the displacement body, a distribution of the medium in the axial direction takes place even before entry into the pressure space. The medium accumulates over the entire length before the narrow gap and can evenly enter the pressure chamber. Furthermore, it is expedient if the gap is substantially tangential to the roller.
  • the invention also relates to a pressure chamber doctor blade with a particularly easy to install displacement body.
  • the displacement body are provided on its side facing the squeegee head with undercut grooves adjacent to an insertion and engage in the bolt with corresponding thickened ends, which are mounted perpendicular to the undercut back and forth in the doctor blade head and about at least one clamping means are fixable in order to clamp the displacement body with the doctor blade head.
  • the bolts extend through the doctor blade head, and the clamping means are arranged on the side facing away from the displacement body of the doctor blade head. This is a particularly easy installation of the displacement body reached. In particular, the clamping means always remain easily accessible below the doctor head, where they are also protected from escaping medium.
  • clamping devices are used is basically arbitrary.
  • the bolts on the side facing away from the displacement body can also be braced with screws. It is particularly useful, however, when the clamping means motor, hydraulic or pneumatic work. This is also advantageous if the displacement body can be clamped at a plurality of axially spaced regions via the bolts. In principle, it is expedient if in each case at least one bolt is arranged on the side of the pressure chamber and on the side of the discharge space at these areas.
  • the displacement body and doctor blade touch each other via contact surfaces, and the displacement body is in at least one mounting direction, in particular parallel to the roll axis, back and forth to introduce the bolts and move into the undercuts.
  • the bolts in the installed position define the defined orientation of the displacement body relative to the roller.
  • the displacement body is to be aligned very accurately with respect to the roller in order to achieve the desired and defined flow conditions in the application gap. It is therefore expedient if the displacement body can be moved back and forth on guides in a mounting direction on the doctor blade head, which align the displacement body in the direction perpendicular to the mounting direction relative to the roller.
  • the mounting direction is preferably parallel to the roll axis, while the guide means cause a tangential alignment of the displacement body. This can be the required exact alignment of the displacement body relative to the roll done.
  • the pressure chamber doctor blade shown in the drawing is arranged below a roller 11 in the so-called 6 o'clock position and extends in the axial direction parallel to the roller axis.
  • the machine frame, which carries the pressure chamber doctor blade and the roller 11 and the other rollers and units, is not shown in the drawing for clarity.
  • the pressure comb scraper has a doctor blade 12 and a metering doctor blade 13 and a sealing blade 14, which rest against the roll surface and thus define a chamber. It is an axially extending displacement body 15 is provided which divides the chamber into a pressure chamber 16 and a discharge space 17 and defines an order gap 18 between itself and the roller.
  • the medium to be applied to the roller passes through the displacement body 15 in the pressure chamber, flows through the application gap 18 and thus wets the roller, which in turn wets a web-shaped material or another roller. Excess medium is removed from the metering blade 13 of the roller and enters the drain chamber 17, from which it is removed or recycled to the pressure chamber.
  • the pressure chamber doctor blade corresponds to a conventional pressure chamber doctor blade and requires no further explanation.
  • the displacement body 15 and the doctor blade 12 touch each other via contact surfaces 19, 20.
  • the arrangement is such that the doctor blade 12 is formed substantially trough-shaped and has a substantially flat bottom with the contact surfaces.
  • the contact surfaces 19, 20 preferably extend in a plane.
  • the contact surfaces extend axially on either side of a central feed 21 for the medium.
  • the contact surfaces 19, 20 of the displacement body 15 and the doctor blade 12 sealingly abut each other.
  • the displacement body and the squeegee head delimit at least one gap 22, through which the medium passes through the feed 21 into the pressure chamber 16.
  • This gap can be formed by depressions on the contact surface of the displacement body 15 or the doctor blade 12 become. As a result, arbitrarily narrow gaps can be formed. Nevertheless, the cleaning remains easy because in the disassembled position, the boundary walls of the gap are freely accessible.
  • the gap 22 may extend almost over the entire axial length of the pressure chamber blade and be limited only by terminal areas of the displacement body on the doctor blade head. For wider rollers, however, it is favorable if a plurality of axially spaced support regions 29 are provided in order to prevent bending of the displacement body relative to the doctor blade head.
  • the feed 21 may be formed as an axially extending recess in the displacement body and / or doctor blade into which open a central or multiple feed channels.
  • the medium thus accumulates in front of the gap 22 and passes evenly into the pressure chamber 16.
  • the contact surfaces 19, 20 of the doctor blade and the displacement body are substantially tangential to the roller, so that the gap also opens in the tangential direction in the pressure chamber. This supports a homogeneous application of the medium to the roll.
  • the entire pressure chamber doctor blade will experience a deflection in the case of wider rollers. It is known to provide a cross bar under the doctor blade 12, which should compensate for this deflection with a central screw. The handling and adjustment of this screw is expensive.
  • Fig. 4 of the drawing another storage of the doctor blade 12 is shown on such a cross bar 30.
  • the displacement body thus extends along its entire axial extent almost exactly parallel to the roll surface, so that the application gap always has the same clear gap, resulting in a particularly uniform application of the medium.
  • Such storage is also possible with oscillating doctor heads.
  • the supports 31 are mounted back and forth on a linear guide below the doctor blade and herverschiebbar and thus can follow the axis-parallel movement of the doctor blade. The load acting essentially from above is still well received.
  • the displacement body 15 is flat on the bottom of the doctor blade head. On its underside 23 facing the doctor blade, there are undercut grooves 24 which adjoin insertion openings 25. In these insertion openings fit bolts 26 which engage with corresponding thickened or stepped ends 27 in the undercuts.
  • the bolts 26 extend through the doctor blade head and are mounted to be movable perpendicular to the undercuts. On the side facing away from the displacement body 15 of the doctor blade, the bolts 26 cooperate with hydraulic or pneumatic clamping cylinders 28 which move the bolts down and thus clamp the displacement body 15 fixed to the doctor blade 12. To release the clamping cylinders are relaxed, and the displacer can be moved out of the bolt guide and lifted out of the chamber.
  • the displacement body 15 is a fast and safe Assembly of the displacement body in the doctor head possible. It can also be provided not shown guide means which fix the displacement body tangential to the roller and allow movement only in the axial direction.
  • the undercut grooves are aligned accordingly. This ensures an exact positioning of the displacement body 15 to form the application gap 18.
  • the bolts and the corresponding grooves are arranged at least on the pressure chamber side in the support regions 29 of the displacement body 15 on the doctor blade 12.
