Definitions
- the invention relates to hearing protection plugs and their use according to the invention.
- ear plugs made of foamed plastics are known, which also have rather low noise insulation.
- hearing protection plugs have been developed, which are made of molded plastic, whereby the special shape should enable the ear canal to be sealed well against noise pollution.
- a hearing protection stopper made of soft, elastic material which consists of a cap-shaped and an adjoining it. send spherical part is made.
- the spherical part has a smaller diameter than the cap-shaped part and is detachably connected to it. Accordingly, the cap-shaped part is intended for large ear canal widths and the spherical part for small ear canal widths.
- hearing protection plugs which also consist of a soft elastic material, with a base body on which lamellar projections are arranged distributed around the circumference and formed like a mushroom head, the lamellar projections being directed towards the front end of the hearing protection stopper, viewed in the direction of insertion into the ear, taper.
- the main body of this hearing protection stopper has a hole that can accommodate a metal part. This metal part is used to be able to be located with a metal detector if the earplugs should be laid in their preferred use in a food company.
- a disadvantage of the known earplugs mentioned is the fact that sooner or later they are perceived as unpleasant or annoying because the relatively solid shapes cannot adapt adequately to the anatomical conditions and to the different diameters of human ear canals. This is particularly noticeable when you move your head, which includes facial and ear movements.
- the object of the present invention was to provide a hearing protection stopper which is comfortable to wear, ensures good noise protection and is also available at low cost.
- a hearing protection stopper made of a soft elastic material, which has a base body, on which lamellar projections are arranged distributed around the circumference and are shaped like mushrooms, each mushroom head running in an undulating manner and areas of undulations. Learn and wave crests of neighboring mushroom heads are arranged offset to each other.
- the slats can be optimally adapted to the anatomical conditions when the earplug is inserted into the ear canal.
- the wave-shaped configuration of the lamellar projections which are designed like mushrooms, enables each lamella to be optimally adapted to the respective geometry of the ear canal.
- the hearing protection plugs according to the invention do not have the annoying alignment pressure, as is complained of in the hearing protection plugs known in the prior art. Nevertheless, the wavy design of the projections ensures that the auditory canal is sealed against sources of noise and thus offers optimum protection.
- the areas of wave troughs of a mushroom-shaped lamellar projection are arranged adjacent to wave crests of the following projection.
- the earplug is designed so that the front end of the earplug stopper in the direction of insertion is formed by one of the mushroom-shaped, lamellar projections and the lamellar projections taper in the direction of the front end of the earplug stopper ,
- the hearing protection stopper according to the invention has a head at its rear end in the direction of insertion.
- This head is used to import the hearing protection stopper into relieves the auditory canal because it is easier to grasp than the base body of the hearing protection stopper, which has a smaller diameter and is therefore harder to grasp.
- this head has a very special advantage because it can be labeled on the outward-facing surface by protruding from the ear canal. This can also give young people an incentive, especially when visiting discotheques, stadiums or other particularly noisy places, to use earplugs that are otherwise less popular in these circles.
- the hearing protection plug according to the invention is not only suitable for offering special wearing comfort, but there are also incentives to wear hearing protection plugs of the type according to the invention at all.
- the surface of the head of the hearing protection stopper which faces outward from the auditory canal can preferably be flattened in order to be able to accommodate the particular lettering or jewelry or the other configuration of this part of the head particularly well.
- the head can also be removable.
- the hearing protection stopper has a curved course.
- the alignment pressure that the wearer can achieve in a particularly favorable manner of the hearing protection stubble can be counteracted, especially during head movements.
- the curved shape of the hearing protection stopper ensures particularly easy operation by facilitating the introduction of the same into the naturally curved ear canal. Accordingly, the curvature of the basic body is roughly the curvature of the human
- the hearing protection stopper can also be provided with a bore which forms a channel into which so-called clothing filters can be inserted.
- the earplugs according to the invention designed in this way can then also be used by people who, for. B. only want to hear certain sounds, while the other noise is filtered out. This can be beneficial for musicians, for example.
- the hearing protection stopper Due to the special design of the hearing protection stopper according to the invention, it can not only be used as noise protection. Since it has been shown that the lamellar projections formed like mushrooms in their staggered arrangement also achieve a particularly high sealing quality, the present invention also relates to the use of the hearing protection plug as a water protection plug. As can be easily seen, the
- Fig. 6 a partially broken side view of the second
- Embodiment of the hearing protection stopper according to the invention which has a bore.
- the hearing protection stopper according to the invention is shown in a first embodiment. It is made of a soft, elastic material. Soft plastics that can be used for this are known. For example, silicone can be used for this. Then the surface of the hearing protection stopper is very smooth and can therefore be cleaned easily, ie the hearing protection stopper is reusable. Silicones are also known to be very durable.
- the hearing protection stopper is manufactured using the injection molding process. This has the advantage of inexpensive production, so that the hearing protection stopper is also inexpensive for the end user.
- the hearing protection stopper consists of a base body 1, which in its simplest configuration is cylindrical, the base surface preferably being oval instead of circular. In Fig. 1, the base body has a conical shape towards the front end 3 when inserted into the auditory canal. The advantages of this tapered shape are explained below.
- Lamellar projections 5 are arranged on the base body 1, distributed circumferentially, which are formed like a mushroom head, each mushroom head running in a wave shape all around. Due to this undulating course of the mushroom-like lamellar projections 5, these are curved at their outer edges, which results in wave troughs 7 and wave crests 9. If one considers adjacent mushroom-like lamellar projections 5, these are ideally arranged such that regions of wave troughs 7 of one projection 5 are adjacent to wave crests 9 of the next projection 5.
- the respective wave troughs 7 and wave crests 9 of mutually adjacent projections 5 are arranged exactly offset from one another. It has been shown that the success according to the invention is achieved even if wave troughs 7 are not ideally offset in the way to wave crests 9 of the adjacent projection 5, the respective wave trough minima match with wave crest maxima.
- each individual lamellar projection 5 can be optimally adapted to different geometries of the ear canals.
- the outer limits of the lamellar projections ie the wave valleys 7 and the wave crests 9, rounded.
- the front end 3 of the base body 1 or the hearing protection stopper in the insertion direction is formed by a mushroom-shaped lamellar projection 5 '.
- the mushroom-shaped design of the protrusion 5 ' also enables insertion of the hearing protection stopper into the auditory canal, which is perceived as pleasant. This also helps that the projections 5, 5 'in
- the hearing protection stopper can adapt particularly well to the anatomical conditions of an auditory canal in general and in particular to differently sized ear canals without lose some of its good sealing properties.
- the hearing protection stopper has a head 13 at its rear end 11.
- this head 13 is designed like a mushroom head. This head 13 is fixedly connected to the base body 1, but can optionally also be detachably connected to it.
- the head 13 On its outer boundary pointing away from the base body 1, the head 13 has a surface 13 'which can be rounded or flattened and which, as the only part of the hearing protection stopper, is visible to the outside when it is worn.
- This surface 13 'can therefore serve as information carrier in a wide variety of ways.
- the surface 13 'can be a jewelry or advertising space or can accommodate brand names, in order to make it easier for the younger generation in particular to wear such ear protection plugs, which have previously been frowned upon and even make them fashionable. It is generally known that noise pollution increases more and more, and there is therefore an increasing need for earplugs which on the one hand are extremely comfortable to wear and on the other hand are designed to be appealing. These can be used by people of all ages, e.g. B.
- the base body 1 of the hearing protection stopper according to the invention has a curved course. Otherwise, this embodiment of the hearing protection stopper is configured exactly as already described with regard to FIG. 1, so that the
- FIG. 3 shows a top view of the front end 3 of the hearing protection stopper and in FIG. 4 shows a top view of the rear end 11, i. H. the surface 13 'of the head 13 of the hearing protection stopper is shown.
- FIG. 5 shows, again with reference to the second embodiment of the hearing protection stopper according to the invention, the design of the rear end 11 of the hearing aid
- Base body 1 with a removable head 13.
- the hearing protection stopper can also be equipped with a removable head 13.
- the base body 1 can also have a bore 15 which forms a channel in the base body 1, into which ready-made filters can be inserted.
- these ear protection plugs are suitable for allowing certain sounds to pass through, while others are filtered out, which can be used in particular by musicians.
- This embodiment of the hearing protection plug is also shown in relation to the second, curved embodiment and can be transferred in the same way to the non-curved, first embodiment.
- the hearing protection stopper according to the invention previously described with the exemplary embodiments 1 and 2 was also tested as a water protection stopper and has also proven itself extremely well here. This is the first time that people who urgently need to avoid the penetration of water or liquid into the ear canal, e.g. B. due to a previous eardrum breakthrough, effectively protect them and stay z. B. in the swimming pool without any problems.
