Abstract

Es wird eine Glättzylinderanordnung (1) angegeben mit einem beheizten Glättzylinder (2) und einem Bahnlaufpfad für eine Bahn (5) aus Faserstoff, insbesondere eine Papier- oder Kartonbahn, in dem die Bahn (5) auf der Oberfläche des Glättzylinders (2) aufliegt und ihn über einen großen Teil seines Umfangs umschlingt.
Man möchte die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit dieser Anordnung erhöhen.
Hierzu liegt eine Schuhwalze (11, 11a, 11b, 18) in einem vorbestimmten Umfangsabschnitt am Glättzylinder (2) an, die einen umlaufenden, flexiblen Mantel (12) aufweist, der unter der Wirkung einer Stützschuhanordnung (14) gegen den Glättzylinder (2) gepreßt ist und mit dem Glättzylinder (2) einen Breitnip (17, 20) bildet.
