Furthermore, the invention relates to a playback device for audio signals for implementing such a method, with a loudspeaker device and with an audio processor which comprises at least one digital equalizer, is arranged in the signal path between at least one signal source and the loudspeaker device and is connected to a control processor via a control bus.

  • the deviation is determined by weighted sum of the amounts of the individual deviations at the frequency points and is a measure of how good the equalization is for the individual shifted and scaled pattern curves. The greater the value of the deviation, the worse the equalizing. Positive deviations are weighted twice compared to negative deviations, so that any remaining excess increases in the frequency response are rated as worse than the psychoacoustically far less critical holes. Different weighting of individual frequency ranges is also conceivable here, since resonances in certain frequency ranges are more critical than in others.
  • Resonances are assigned smaller error values than broad less high resonances with the same "error area".
  • the former are thus preferably eliminated, which makes sense from a psychoacoustic point of view.
