Abstract

Bei dem Lichtquellensystem handelt es sich um eine Kombination von zwei Lichtquellen mit offenen Flammen, die in einem mehrschenkligen, U-foermigen, roehrenartigen Gefaess so angeordnet sind, dass sich die eine Lichtquelle mit nach oben gerichteter Flamme im Fuss des einen Schenkels und die andere Lichtquelle mit nach unten gerichteter Flamme im Hals des anderen Schenkels befindet. <IMAGE>

Description

Eine offene Flamme verbreitet immer eine angenehme Atmosphaere durch Abgabe von Licht im Spektralbereich der warmen Farben. Man findet Lichtquellen mit offenen Flammen daher auch noch heute weit verbreitet in allen Gebieten des menschlichen Lebens insbesondere im Wohn- und Gastronomiebereich. In Dokumenten der Geschichte und auch auf dem gegenwaertigen Markt findet sich eine unueberschaubare Anzahl solcher Lichtquellen in den verschiedensten Ausfuehrungen, bei denen die Flammen jedoch immer nach oben gerichtet sind.
Der Sinn der Anmeldung besteht deshalb darin, mit einer einfachen Methode eine Aenderung der Flammenrichtung in die horizontale Ebene oder nach unten herbeizufuehren.
Bei dem neuen Lichtquellensystem handelt es sich um eine Kombination von mindestens einer Lichtquelle mit offener, nach unten gerichteter Flamme und einer oder mehreren Waermequellen, die auch Lichtquellen sein koennen, jeweils in einem Schenkel eines U-foermigen, roehrenartigen Gefaesses, dessen beide Oeffnungen nach oben gerichtet sind. In einem dieser Schenkel befindet sich am unteren Ende eine Waermequelle, die durch Konvektion einen Luftstrom in diesem Gefaess erzeugt, der in dem Schenkel, in dem sich diese Waermequelle befindet, nach oben und in dem anderen Schenkel nach unten gerichtet ist. In dem Schenkel mit dem nach unten gerichteten Luftstrom befindet sich die Flamme der erstgenannten Lichtquelle, die durch den nach unten gerichteten Luftstrom ebenfalls nach unten gezogen wird.
Die Erfindung wird nun anhand der Fig. 1 naeher erlaeutert. Fig 1 zeigt eine moegliche Anordnung der oben beschriebenen Komponenten des Lichtquellensystems. Auf dem Koerper (1), der aus nicht brennbarem Material wie zum Beispiel Glas besteht, befindet sich ein zur Befuellung und Zuendung der darunter liegenden Oellampe abnehmbarer Glaszylinder (2), der als Kamin fuer die nach oben brennende Oellampe (Bereich A von Fig. 1) dient und mit dem Koerper (1) und dem zweiten Glaszylinder (6) derart verbunden ist, dass ein U-foermiges Gefaess gebildet wird. Weiterhin sind im Koerper (1) eine Licht- und eine Waermequelle - in diesem Falle beides Oellampen - bestehend aus Dochten (3), entnehmbaren Dochtrohren (4) und Oelreservoirs (5) integriert. Zuendet man nun die erste Oellampe (Bereich A in Fig. 1), so entsteht in Zylinder (2) ein nach oben gerichteter Luftstrom. Da der zweite Zylinder (6) durch den Koerper (1) mit Zylinder (2) verbunden ist, entsteht in diesem Zylinder (6) ein abwaerts gerichteter Luftstrom. Zuendet man nun die zweite Oellampe in Zylinder (6), so brennt die Flamme in Zylinder (6) nach unten. Voraussetzung hierfuer ist eine entsprechende Justierung der Dochte der beiden Oellampen.

Claims (1)

  1. Lichtquellensystem mit offenen Flammen, gekennzeichnet durch
    einen Koerper (1), auf dem sich mindestens ein Zylinder (2) und mindestens ein zweiter, transparenter Zylinder (6) befinden, dass ein U-foermiges, nach oben geoeffnetes Gefaess mit mindestens zwei Schenkeln gebildet wird, die ueber den Koerper (1) derart miteinander verbunden sind, dass ein Luftstrom durch das Gefaess zwischen den oberen Oeffnungen der Schenkel (2,6) ungehindert moeglich ist
    Waermequellen oder Ventilatoren, die in einem Schenkel (2) einen aufwaerts gerichteten Luftstrom und somit einen abwaerts gerichteten Luftstrom im anderen Schenkel (6) durch das U-foermige Gefaess erzeugen
    eine Lichtquelle mit sichtbar nach unten brennender Flamme, deren Brennrichtung durch den im Schenkel (6) abwaerts gerichteten Luftstrom erzeugt wird
