Abstract

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Übertragung von Informationen, insbesondere Verkehrsmeldungen oder verkehrsrelevante Informationen, wobei die Informationen in Datengruppen übertragen werden, wobei die Informationen mindestens eine codierte Ereignisbeschreibung, insbesondere eine codierte Ereignis- und eine codierte Ortsbeschreibung, umfassen,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass ergänzende Informationen, die vorzugsweise der Präzisierung der codierten Ereignis- und/oder Ortsbeschreibung dienen, übertragen werden
Weiter wird vorgeschlagen ein Empfänger zum Empfang von nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren übertragenen Informationen.
Die Erfindung ermöglicht die Übertragung von Informationen, insbesondere Verkehrsinformationen nach dem TMC-Standard gemäß ISO 14819-1, -2 und -3, wobei vorteilhaft der Informationsgehalt der Informationen durch ergänzende Informationen erhöht werden kann. Dies wird erfindungsgemäß ermöglicht, ohne dass zur Informationsübertragung von einem vorgegebenen Standard, beispielsweise dem genannten TMC-Standard, abgewichen werden muss. Somit ist die Übertragung der erweiterten Informationen zur bisherigen Informationsübertragung, d. h. ohne ergänzende Informationen, kompatibel. Existierende Informationsempfänger können daher auch mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren weiter betrieben werden, ohne dass Funktionseinbußen oder Inkompatibilitäten zu erwarten sind.
