Abstract

Um einen Leistungsschalter (1) zum Unterbrechen eines elektrischen Stromes mit einem gasdichten Gehäuse (2), das mit Löschgas zum Löschen eines Lichtbogens befüllt ist und in dem wenigstens eine Hauptkontaktanordnung (12,15) angeordnet ist, wobei jede Hauptkontaktanordnung (12,15) einen Festkontakt (15) sowie ein drehbares oder schwenkbares Schaltmesser (12) aufweist, wobei ein das Gehäuse durchgreifendes Bewegungsübertragungsmittel (5) zum Einleiten einer Antriebsbewegung vorgesehen ist, bereitzustellen, der kompakt und darüber hinaus einfach und sicher abzudichten ist, wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Bewegungsübertragungsmittel (5) zur Übertragung einer translatorischen Antriebsbewegung eingerichtet ist.
