Abstract

Bei einem Schutzhelm für Zweiradfahrer, insbesondere bei einem Integral-Motorradhelm, mit einer eine Oberflächenstruktur aufweisenden Helmkalotte, die eine durch ein Visier abgedeckte Sichtöffnung aufweist, ist zur Verbesserung der aerodynamischen Eigenschaften vorgesehen, dass die Außenseite der Helmkalotte (1) vorspringende Rippen (6) aufweist, die von dem Bereich der Vorderseite (7) des Helms annähernd auf die Mitte (8) der Rückseite (9) der Helmkalotte (1) zulaufen.

Description

Die Erfindung richtet sich auf einen Schutzhelm für Zweiradfahrer, insbesondere einen Integral-Motorradhelm mit einer eine Oberflächenstruktur aufweisenden Helmkalotte, die eine durch ein Visier abgedeckte Sichtöffnung aufweist.
Integralhelme für Motorradfahrer, d.h. Helme, bei welchen in die Helmkalotte ein Kinnschutz integriert ist, weisen üblicherweise eine glatte äußere Kalottenoberfläche auf. Man hat aber auch schon versucht, die aerodynamischen Eigenschaften eines solchen Helms durch Strukturierung der Kalottenoberfläche zu verbessern. So ist es beispielsweise bekannt, die Oberfläche mit einer Vielzahl von Mulden unter Ausbildung einer golfballartigen Oberflächenstruktur zu versehen. Weiterhin sind Helmkalotten bekannt, die an der Rückseite spoilerartige Vorsprünge aufweisen.
Hiervon ausgehend liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Schutzhelm der in Betracht stehenden Art so zu verbessern, dass die aerodynamischen Eigenschaften optimiert werden und gleichzeitig ein ansprechendes Erscheinungsbild geschaffen wird.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass die Außenseite der Helmkalotte vorspringende Rippen aufweist, die von dem Bereich der Vorderseite des Helms annähernd auf die Mitte der Rückseite der Helmkalotte zulaufen.
Die erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltung führt, wie Messungen im Windkanal zeigen, zu einer deutlichen Verbesserung der aerodynamischen Eigenschaften, insbesondere bei höheren Fahrgeschwindigkeiten. Gleichzeitig spiegeln sich diese verbesserten Nutzungseigenschaften auch im äußeren Erscheinungsbild wieder, welches einen besonders dynamischen Eindruck vermittelt.
In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, dass die Scheitel der Rippen einen sanft verlaufenden Übergang zum Grundkörper der Helmkalotte aufweisen, so dass Verwirbelungen, die zu einer Erhöhung des Luftwiderstandes führen könnten, im Bereich der Rippen-Scheitel vermieden werden.
Günstigerweise erstreckt sich jeweils eine Rippe ausgehend von der Oberkante und der Unterkante des Visiers nach hinten. Hierdurch werden die Begrenzungskanten des Visiers optisch aufgenommen und fortgesetzt, so dass eine harmonische Ausgestaltung erreicht wird.
Mit Vorteil kann an der Oberseite der Helmkalotte eine durch zwei zusammenlaufende Rippen begrenzte, annähernd dreieckförmige Erhebung ausgebildet sein, die mit ihrem hinteren Ende ausgehend von einer Dreieckspitze über eine Rippe längs der Scheitelmittellinie in den Mittelbereich der Helmrückseite übergeht.
Korrespondierend hierzu kann sich von der hinteren Unterkante der Helmkalotte ausgehend eine annähernd dreieckförmige Erhebung nach oben wegerstrecken, die ausgehend von einer Dreieckspitze über eine längs der Scheitelmittellinie verlaufende Rippe in den Mittelbereich der Helmrückseite übergeht.
Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand eines bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiels in Verbindung mit der Zeichnung näher beschrieben. Dabei zeigen:
  • Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht eines erfindungsgemäßen Integral-Motorradhelms,
  • Fig. 2 eine perspektivische Ansicht von vorne - oben und
  • Fig. 3 eine perspektivische Ansicht von hinten, teilweise aufgebrochen.
    • Ein in der Zeichnung dargestellter erfindungsgemäßer Schutzhelm ist als Motorrad-Integralhelm ausgebildet. Der Helm umfasst eine Helmkalotte 1 mit einer Sichtöffnung 2, die durch ein - in der Zeichnung nicht dargestelltes - hochschwenkbares Visier abgedeckt ist. Die Sichtausnehmung 2 setzt sich seitlich als Vertiefung 3 der Helmkalotte 1 fort, sodass ein dort gelagertes Visier bündig mit der Oberfläche der Helmkalotte 1 angeordnet ist. Unterhalb der Sichtöffnung 2 weist die Kalotte 1 einen Kinnschutz-Abschnitt 4 auf, der in eine im wesentlichen gerade Unterkante 5 übergeht.
    Die Kalotte 1 weist eine Mehrzahl von nach außen vorspringenden Rippen 6 auf, welche sich vom Bereich der Vorderseite 7 annähernd auf die Mitte 8 der Rückseite 9 der Helmkalotte 1 zu erstrecken. Wie insbesondere aus der Schnittdarstellung in Fig. 3 erkennbar ist, weisen die Scheitel 10 der Rippen 6 einen sanft verlaufenden Übergang zum Grundkörper der Helmkalotte 1 auf.
    Jeweils eine Rippe 6a bzw. 6b erstreckt sich ausgehend von der Oberkante 11 bzw. der Unterkante 12 der Vertiefung 3 um die Visierausnehmung 2 nach hinten auf die Mitte 8 zu.
    An der Oberseite 13 der Helmkalotte 1 ist eine durch zwei in einem Punkt 14 zusammenlaufende Rippen 6c begrenzte dreieckförmige Erhebung 15 ausgebildet, die mit ihrem hinteren Ende ausgehend von der Dreieckspitze beim Punkt 14 über eine Rippe 6d längs der Scheitelmittellinie 16 in die Helmrückseite 9 übergeht. Im Abstand seitlich weiter außen von den Rippen 6c verlaufen Rippen 6e, welche ebenfalls in den Punkt 8 münden.
    Weiterhin ist vorgesehen, dass sich von der hinteren Unterkante 5 der Helmkalotte 1 ausgehend eine annähernd dreieckförmige Erhebung 17 nach oben wegerstreckt, die durch Rippen 6f begrenzt wird und ausgehend von einer Dreieckspitze 18 über eine längs der Scheitelmittellinie 16 verlaufende Rippe 6g in den Mittelbereich 8 der Helmrückseite 9 übergeht. Im Abstand von den Rippen 6f laufen Rippen 6g, welche in einem Punkt 19 auf der Scheitelmittellinie 16 im Abstand von dem Mittelbereich 8 zusammentreffen.
    Die Helmkalotte 1 besteht aus ultraleichtem, hochstrapazierfähigem und schlagzähem U-Faser-Verbundmaterial.
    Oberhalb der Sichtöffnung 2 ist - in der Zeichnung nur angedeutet - eine Belüftungseinrichtung 20 ausgebildet.

    Claims (5)

    1. Schutzhelm für Zweiradfahrer, insbesondere Integral-Motorradhelm, mit einer eine Oberflächenstruktur aufweisenden Helmkalotte, die eine durch ein Visier abgedeckte Sichtöffnung aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Außenseite der Helmkalotte (1) vorspringende Rippen (6) aufweist, die von dem Bereich der Vorderseite (7) des Helms annähernd auf die Mitte (8) der Rückseite (9) der Helmkalotte (1) zulaufen.
    2. Schutzhelm nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Scheitel (10) der Rippen (6) einen sanft verlaufenden Übergang zum Grundkörper der Helmkalotte (1) aufweisen.
    3. Schutzhelm nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass jeweils eine Rippe (6a bzw. 6b) sich etwa ausgehend von der Oberkante (11) und der Unterkante (12) der Vertiefung (3) der Visierausnehmung nach hinten erstreckt.
    4. Schutzhelm nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass an der Oberseite (13) der Helmkalotte (1) eine durch zwei zusammenlaufende Rippen (6c) begrenzte, annähernd dreieckförmige Erhebung (15) ausgebildet ist, die mit ihrem hinteren Ende ausgehend von einer Dreieckspitze (14) über eine Rippe (6d) längs der Scheitelmittellinie (16) in den Mittelbereich (8) der Helmrückseite (9) übergeht.
    5. Schutzhelm nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sich von der hinteren Unterkante (3 ) der Helmkalotte (1) ausgehend eine annähernd dreieckförmige Erhebung (17) nach oben wegerstreckt, die ausgehend von einer Dreieckspitze (15) über eine längs der Scheitelmittellinie (16) verlaufende Rippe (6g) in den Mittelbereich (8) der Helmrückseite (9) übergeht.
