Definitions

  • Electromotive furniture drive for adjusting parts of a piece of furniture relative to one another
  • the invention relates to an electromotive furniture drive for adjusting parts of a piece of furniture re1ati to one another.
  • Furniture drives of this type are generally known, for example from EP 0 583 660 B1 and DE 38 47 078 C2.

  • a disadvantage of the known furniture drives is that in the event of a failure of the electric motor, for example in the event of a power failure or a defect in the electric motor, manual adjustment of the furniture is generally not possible. This is particularly disadvantageous for a slatted frame and uncomfortable for the user if the failure occurs in an adjustment position in which the slatted frame is in a sitting position and cannot be returned to a sleeping position. To reset the slatted frame to the sleeping position, the user must then call on service personnel, the slatted frame not being usable as a place to sleep until the fault has been rectified by the service personnel.
