Definitions
- the present invention relates to a comfort element thermoformable for sports shoes, such as a slipper, shank or insole, comprising a foam interposed between a wall external contact with the inside of the shoe and an inner wall in contact with the foot of the user.
- slip sports shoes must be sufficiently rigid to allow good transmission of the efforts of the foot and the leg from the user to the gliding machine and allow consequently a good guidance of the machine but also a good feeling of the behavior of the machine by the user.
- This constraint caused the abandonment leather ski boots, which presented for main advantage of being comfortable at benefit from very rigid and realized ski boots from molded plastic shells.
- These molded plastic shoes are provided padding elements called slippers and adapting the rigid structure of the shoe to the morphology of the foot and lower leg of the user. The slippers allow to distribute the more evenly possible the pressure of the shoe on the foot and lower leg of the user and avoid the existence of areas where the pressure would be annoying or could injure the user. This is also true for all types of shoes including a hard shell and padding internal.
- Slippers are usually put in place in the shoe so that they can be removed. They very often consist of an envelope made of flexible or semi-rigid material to inside of which is imprisoned a compressible material.
- a slipper presenting an envelope provided with openings through which one can insert or remove plates of material compressible of different thicknesses and so do vary locally the thickness of the slipper.
- EP 0 237 526 discloses a method and means for molding a slipper in situ.
- This slipper consists of an envelope placed position in the shoe around the foot of the user and into which a product is injected foaming filling all the free volume between the foot and shoe. We then get a slipper perfectly adapted to the morphology of the user.
- slippers whose material compressible is a thermoformable foam. These slippers are adapted to the morphology of the user by thermoforming this foam at moment of sale of the shoes to the user. To do this, we heat the foam of the slipper thanks to a device blowing hot air into the slipper previously put in place in the shoe. When the foam has reached a temperature its formatting, the user introduces his foot in the shoe so that the shape of the foam adapts to its morphology.
- the heating time of the shoe is long. In indeed, it takes about 10 min to bring a slipper from the ambient temperature to the temperature at which we can put it in shape. This has the consequence of make it difficult to use in sport material. Then the heating is not homogeneous. It was found that the affected area directly by the hot air flow presents a temperature much higher than the rest of the shoe.
- the object of the invention is to produce an element of thermoformable comfort overcomes the disadvantages supra.
- the invention proposes in particular create a thermoformable comfort element having a structure allowing it to be heated in a homogeneous way and to be quickly brought to a temperature allowing it to be shaped.
- the comfort element according to the invention is characterized in that the inner wall comprises a fabric three-dimensional thermoformable having two sides parallel weaves, connected to each other by wires extending substantially perpendicular to the two woven faces.
- this fabric behaves like a sheath distributing the hot air from a cooling device heating, over the entire inner surface of the three-dimensional thermoformable fabric. This has for consequences of allowing more homogeneous heating and faster the fabric than it usually is when using thermoformable foam. On the other hand, this fabric is directly in contact with the foot, the warm air has no more lining to cross.
- the two woven faces are preferably spaced apart from 4 to 6 mm.
- This three-dimensional fabric may consist of threads made of polyester fibers.
- the threads can be parallel but they are advantageously crossed for prevent both sides of the fabric from slipping off relative to each other and maintain a spring effect.
- the attached drawing represents, by way of example, a embodiment of the liner according to the invention.
- Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view of the slipper according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 is a schematic sectional view of the zone A identified in Figure 1 and detailing the structure of the inner wall of the liner.
- This slipper is consisting of a lower part forming a sole and an upper part.
- the lower part consists of a sole 6 outside, a rigid insole 7 defining the shape of the bottom of the bootie and a comfort element 8 covering the insole. Its function is to cushion shocks caused by walking and adapt the shoe to the morphology of the foot of the user. Some of these elements are related between them and the upper part by gluing and / or by sewing.
- the upper part has a foam 4 contained in an envelope having an inner wall 3 and an outer wall 5.
- the outer and inner walls are tied together by a seam at the top of the slipper and at the level of the connection between the party lower and upper sole.
- the foam can be of thermoformable material such as a foam Hevea known from the prior art.
- the outer wall 4 is constituted by a fabric or a knit or a semi-rigid material and is intended to come into contact with the carcass of the shoe.
- the inner wall is realized in a three-dimensional fabric 3 whose structure is schematically shown in Figure 2.
- This fabric has the distinction of presenting two faces woven 3a and 3b parallel connected to each other by wires extending essentially perpendicular to both woven faces and participating in the weaving of these. These wires, substantially perpendicular to the parallel faces 3a and 3b, parallel or crossed, define a zone compressible 3c approximately 5 mm thick interspersed between them. This zone 3c also has the particularity to allow excellent circulation of gas in the directions parallel to the faces woven 3a and 3b.
- the threads of this fabric are by example made of polyester fibers.
- the fabric is in contact with the foot but it would be possible to provide a lining decorative although this is detrimental to the good heating the fabric.
- thermoformable fabric to make the inner wall of the liner, one notes that the time required to bring the temperature of the three-dimensional fabric thermoformable to a temperature sufficient to be able to put it in form is greatly reduced. Simply heat the slipper for a duration of about 2 minutes. This is because, thanks to its structure, the compressible zone 3c favors the diffusion of warm air in three-dimensional tissue and in particular all over the faces woven 3a and 3b, after this one, set in motion by the heater, went through the face woven 3a.
- the three-dimensional fabric has more low thermal inertia
- the invention has been described applied to a shoe of ski, but it can of course apply to other sports shoes such as shoes skating, anti-ski, hiking, etc.
