Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of transport and / or transport of paper securities such as, in particular, banknotes and documents.
- banknotes or documents are usually placed in a transportable container by hand in order to allow transportation between the vehicle and the collection or drop-off location.
- Transport is provided in particular by means of armored vehicles driven by armed men.
- the Applicant has also developed a security device in which in the event of an attempted break-in, the values are brought into contact with a product of destruction acting by chemical combustion. These products of destruction then oxidizers function of a redox reaction, paper values playing the role of fuel.
- destruction of values is meant damage such as the values are rendered unusable.
- the weight and size of the transport container are limited in terms of ergonomics, we seek to reduce the size and weight of the safety device and therefore onboard destruction product. So it is desired one that the destruction of 20% of each side of each ticket can be produced by a device presenting a weight ratio of 25% destruction product for 75% of paper values.
- the invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of existing security devices by proposing a security device for the transport or storage of valuables paper which, while having a reduced volume and weight, allows destruction of paper values in accordance with the regulations in the event of an attempted break-in.
- part of the container and / or the envelope containing the values is made of a material capable of combining with the product of destruction and contribute to the destruction of values in the event of an attempted break-in.
- a device then makes it possible to take on a reduced quantity of product of destruction and therefore presents a reduced weight, while ensuring a result of identical destruction.
- it can reinforce the envelope or container, which increases the mechanical resistance of the device.
- the subject of the invention is therefore a safety device for transporting or storage of paper values, comprising a container containing said values, a sensor capable of detecting an attempt to break in the container, a tank containing a destruction product, a pyrotechnic trigger likely to release the destruction product out of the tank on all values, and an auxiliary material for destroying values that is an integral part of the container and / or sensor.
- auxiliary destruction material is preferably inaccessible except in the event of an attempted break-in.
- Destruction of paper can be accomplished by chemicals. This rapid destruction of the paper can for example be obtained by using strong mineral acids, and preferably strong oxidizing acids. Such acids are for example sulfuric acid, nitric acid, perchloric acid, perbromic acid or periodic acid. In addition, combinations of these products may be considered.
- a particularly fast-acting destruction product is for example a mixture of sulfuric acid and periodic acid, in particular a mixture of 15 to 25% by volume of concentrated sulfuric acid and 75 to 85% by volume of acid periodic in saturated aqueous solution.
- the destruction product comprises a minimum of water, and preferably it is free of water.
- a particularly destructive product preferred is a solution of periodic acid in concentrated sulfuric acid, by example in the proportions indicated above. This embodiment allows reduce the size and weight of the safety device due to the destruction.
- the wetting agent allows to spread in a way optimal the product of destruction on the values to be destroyed and to ensure penetration tickets by the product, thus accelerating the destruction of these.
- a wetting agent wetting agent may be an organic solvent or an alcohol such as in particular methanol, ethanol or isopropanol.
- the wetting agent is preferably contained in a separate container. A proportion of wetting agent from 0 to 50% by weight, of preferably between 10 and 30% by weight relative to the total destruction product is suitable.
- auxiliary destruction material values may include coloring products such as pigments.
- the security device comprises a destruction product allowing the chemical combustion of paper values by redox, for example a strong mineral acid.
- the auxiliary material is then advantageously chosen from the compounds oxidants.
- the acid salts are particularly preferred.
- oxidants such as nitrates, iodates, chlorates and perchlorates. Where applicable, these salts can be used in hydrated form.
- the auxiliary material for destroying values is chosen from the group consisting of ammonium nitrate, lithium nitrate, nitrate of magnesium, magnesium perchlorate, potassium iodate, metaperiodate potassium, potassium nitrate, sodium iodate, sodium metaperiodate and their hydrates or mixtures thereof.
- the auxiliary destruction material is solid. It's not however not a necessary condition when combined with a binder.
- the auxiliary material for destruction of values can be integrated into the container and / or sensor by different means. So we can apply the material, for example by coating, spraying or any other means of a solution or composition the container directly on the surface of the envelope or container. he it is also possible to produce a woven or nonwoven from the auxiliary material destruction of values coextruded with a suitable polymer, such as polybutadiene for example.
- the single figure shows a view in elevation and in section of a device for security according to one embodiment of the invention.
- the security device comprises a container (1) generally consisting of strong and light material, for example aluminum or plastic strengthened.
- the security device also comprises a sensor (8) capable of detect a break-in attempt.
- the sensor (8) is fixed on the faces container internals (1).
- It may for example be an envelope formed from a flexible printed circuit or a conductive wire whose conductivity is modified during its destruction in the event of attempted break-in or in the event of major deformation. Circuit conductivity then goes from a closed circuit level to an open circuit.
- an envelope is described for example in the application filed on behalf of the plaintiff FR 2 822 032.
- Securities or banknotes or bags containing said securities or banknotes (4) are arranged in the container (1).
- the trigger system is preferably configurable and generally controlled by radio frequency. Such a control and command is for example described in the French patent application n ° 01 02 750 filed on February 28, 2001 by the plaintiff.
- a radio frequency identification device (5) is preferably associated container (1) to allow the definition of a security perimeter. At this radio frequency identification device (5) is connected to a system micro-programmed (6).
- the micro-programmed system is capable of managing the command to destroy values via a pyrotechnic trigger (3).
- the radio frequency transceiver (5) allows control via the micro-programmed system (6) the pyrotechnic trigger (3) remotely and / or if the device is moved beyond the safety perimeter.
- the security device also comprises at least one reservoir (2) of product of destruction.
- the reservoir (2) is made of an inert material vis-à-vis the destruction product, for example a glass or a polymeric material such than polyethylene (PE).
- PE polyethylene
- the pyrotechnic trigger (3) explodes and generates a breath.
- the breath thus generated has mainly two functions. On the one hand, it makes it possible to break the reservoir (2) which pours its content by gravity and / or by projection in the container, in contact with the paper values.
- the breath generated by the pyrotechnic trigger (3) enables the bundles of banknotes to be separated from one another, and the tickets themselves in the bundles of tickets and thus facilitates the access of the product of destruction in all of the banknotes. This effect is particularly effective for separate the bundles of new banknotes.
- the pyrotechnic trigger (3) consists of several initiators coupled in parallel.
- the container (1) and / or the envelope (8) is at least partially made of auxiliary material for destroying values.
- the auxiliary material of destruction is preferably mixed with one or more binders ensuring rigidity such as polybutadiene, then extruded.
- the auxiliary product is an integral part of the device (1) and / or of the envelope (8), and can also provide reinforcement functions for structure or mechanical insulation. In the event of an attempted break-in, he contributes by his oxidizing action on the destruction reaction caused by the destruction product of the cellulose making up the paper values.
