Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toothbrush having an elongated, square and / or round bristle field, which is formed of individual, adjacent to a brush body and opposite this upstanding bristle bundles or bristle tufts, wherein at least individual bristle bundles on the brush body facing away from the use of an approximately parallel to the brush body extending plane at least partially beveled by and / or roof-shaped, that bristles of these bristle bundles are different high, so that the end of this bundle of bristles arranged end surfaces are formed as inclined surfaces or as partially inclined surfaces, said bristle bundles along imaginary straight or curved particular or in circular brushes, for example, for electric toothbrushes circular arc or circular connecting lines on the brush body are arranged adjacent to each other.
  • Such toothbrushes are known in many forms as manual toothbrushes or as electric toothbrushes, in which a stem acts on the bristle field in each case.
  • a brush head of a manual toothbrush in which differently long bristle bundles seen in the longitudinal direction arranged one behind the other and are tapered so that in each case the foremost, rearmost and intermediate middle bristle bundles the greater height and bristle bundles located therebetween have a lower height, at the same time chamfers the use ends are arranged such that seen from the side two channel-shaped indentations are formed on this bristle field.
  • the oblique surfaces of the chamfered bristle bundles are each rotated by 180 ° to each other, so that they face each other or are facing away from each other in the neighboring area.
  • a toothbrush of the type mentioned be it a manual toothbrush, be it an electric toothbrush, which the user can insert almost anywhere in the mouth, that is also held and used at different angles of their grip can be and still allows an intensive cleaning of the tooth surfaces and the interdental spaces or the transitions between them.
  • the inclined surfaces are not arranged relative to each other so that they share a roof shape or form a gutter, but they are arranged relatively randomly, so that when using such a brush with different or even changing angular positions of the handle relative to the bit still inclined surfaces the teeth in transition to the interdental space and in this and also at their Apply surfaces, the user comes to the aid that the bristles of the bristle bundles are flexible, so that an almost correctly engaging in a tooth space inclined surface fully engages and slides by the pressure of the brush in this space.
  • bristle bundles are arranged with their inclined surfaces rotated relative to each other. For more bundles of bristles this is true, the greater the likelihood that at almost any individual approach angles of the toothbrush but one or more bristle bundles optimally captures and cleans the respective interdental space between two teeth.
  • bristle fields comprises a plurality of bristle bundles
  • bristle fields provide that individual, immediately adjacent or spaced by them bristle bundles bristle bundles with their inclined surfaces against each other and / or with respect to an imaginary connecting line to 90th ° and / or are arranged rotated by 180 ° from each other, but that more bristle bundles of the bristle field are arranged rotated by one or more different, contrasting angle.
  • the distribution of the inclined surfaces of the individual bristle bundles in their mutual relative position and rotation can be varied even more and it can, for example, "pairs" of bristle bundles within the entire bristle field occur, in which the highest points of the inclined surfaces immediately adjacent to each other, if this the pair belonging to two bristle bundles are arranged with their inclined surfaces relative to each other rotated by 180 °.
  • a "pair” can be arranged as a whole rotated relative to other bristle bundles with inclined surfaces by an angle deviating from 180 ° or from 90 °.
  • bristle bundles with angular positions of 90 ° wherein a relative rotation of adjacent bundles of bristles to differing angles within the entire bristle field can cause that more distant bristle bundles coincidentally with their inclined surfaces relative to each other at an angle of 90 ° or even 180 ° are arranged.
  • This can contribute to the fact that a multiplicity of bristle bundles provided with oblique surfaces at the ends of use are distributed more or less randomly relative to one another over the bristle field and therefore always provide the user with "ideal-oriented" bristle bundles relative to his dentition in the case of different individual positions of the brush the cleaning of the teeth are available.
  • each neighboring bristle bundles are rotated by a same, relatively small angle to each other, so that in a sense a number of within this row each twisted by the same angular amount to the neighboring bristle bundle, it can however, a largely random mutual twisted position can also be applied.
  • a modified embodiment of the toothbrush according to the invention be it manually or electrically operated, which also aims to capture well the respective tooth surfaces adjacent the interdental spaces, may consist in a toothbrush according to the invention in that in its bristle field with inclined surfaces or obliquely Surface provided bristle bundles and bristle bundles are combined with approximately horizontal, rounded and / or sharpened or otherwise contoured use surface with each other and that such differently shaped bristle bundles within the bristle field each other are arranged immediately adjacent and / or in each case as groups, within which groups the same or similar bristle bundles are combined, wherein within at least one group bristle bundles are arranged with inclined surfaces which rotated against each other or with respect to their imaginary connecting lines by 90 ° or 180 ° different angle to each other are arranged.
  • the elongated bristle field at its two ends could each have a group of bundles of bristles forming at their ends a plane or rounded or sharpened or otherwise shaped utilization surface, ie do not belong to the bristle bundles with oblique use surfaces, while between bristle bundles could be provided with according to the invention relatively inclined surfaces.
  • the central region of a bristle field of such a toothbrush could then be helpful, above all, for cleaning the interdental spaces, while the adjacent regions serve predominantly for cleaning the tooth surfaces.
  • one or two regions of the bristle field in the case of an elongated bristle field, in particular the regions of this bristle field which are remote from one another in the longitudinal direction, could be provided with bundles of bristles whose ends are rounded, sharpened or provided with a straight end surface, and between these groups of bristle bundles at least one group may be arranged with bevelled or roof-shaped bristle bundles, which are arranged at least partially rotated relative to one another according to the invention.
  • groups of bundles of bristles with flat, rounded or sharpened areas of use could also be provided between groups of bristle bundles with slanted useful surfaces which are arranged rotated relative to one another.
  • a particular embodiment of the invention could be in a toothbrush arranged on an outer circle bristle bundles and arranged inside this circle wonn bristle bundles, which is particularly suitable as an electric toothbrush, characterized in that arranged on the outer circle and / or in its interior Bristle bundles at their free ends have an inclined surface and are arranged opposite the circle on which they are arranged, at least partially rotated by different angular amounts, so that the inclined surfaces partly to the middle of the bristle field, partly outwardly, partly in the circumferential direction or in intermediate positions turned to it are.
  • the bristle bundles of the bristle field provided with oblique surfaces can be arranged rotated within the bristle field in such a way that planes running through the respective non-parallel but differently oriented inclined surfaces of adjacent or in a common transverse or longitudinal row of the bristle field or on a circle arranged bristle bundles planes cut and form an angle space with each other.
  • the bristle bundles of the bristle fields of toothbrushes are each about the same length, so that the overall result is a common plane at the ends of use of the bristle bundles.
  • profilings are known by which the ends of use of the bristle bundles produce differently shaped enveloping surfaces.
  • the toothbrush according to the invention may also be characterized in one embodiment of the invention in that the length of individual bundles of bristles protruding from the brush body is approximately the same and that of the other bundles of bristles is different.
  • bristle bundles of different lengths can be combined in a suitable manner within the bristle field.
  • the helix angles of the inclined surfaces formed at the end of the bundles of bristles may be the same or at least different for individual bristle bundles compared to other bundles of bristles.
  • it can also be ensured by the helix angle that individual bristle bundles depending on the angular position of the handle of the toothbrush by the user in an optimal manner with the teeth and the interdental spaces in contact and have a correspondingly good cleaning effect, with the flexibility of the bristles adaptation to the interdental spaces in these and also the cases described above can be improved.
  • the cross section of the bristle bundles may be approximately circular or deviating from a circle.
  • bristle bundles with circular or even deviating from a circle cross sections are known and the inventive arrangement of the inclined surfaces of such bristle bundles in each relatively rotated position can be applied both round and profiled in their cross-section bristle bundles, round bristle bundles have the advantage have that the mutual twisted arrangement can be performed independently of the corresponding round receiving openings in the brush body and possibly also very easily changed in production, because the receiving openings on the brush bodies do not need to be adjusted accordingly.
  • the cross section of at least individual bundles of bristles may be polygonal or quadrangular, in particular square, and the oblique surfaces arranged at the end of use of such bundles of bristles may also be polygonal or quadrilateral - which results from the contour of the bundles of bristles - the sides of the polygons or quadrilaterals in the vertical projection the bristle bundles are superimposed or can be rotated against each other such that the highest point of the inclined surface is shorter than the side length of the polygon or quadrilateral and is arranged in particular at a corner of the cross-sectionally multi-square or bristle bundle cross-section.
  • planar oblique surfaces are generally meant, but it is also possible that the oblique surface (s) of at least one bristle bundle is (are) curved convexly or concavely in one or more directions. If the inclined surface of use thus has a concave curvature, for example, an even better adaptation to the convex curvature of a tooth surface is possible. In addition, so the highest area of the inclined surface can be correspondingly pointed and fine and penetrate particularly deep into an interdental space.
  • a special arrangement may provide that juxtaposed bundles of bristles are at different heights relative to the brush body or have different lengths, in particular within equal rows arranged bristle bundles and the oblique surfaces of the bristle bundles of such a row and / or an adjacent row with bristles of different lengths partially can be arranged rotated against each other.
  • a great variety of mutual combinations is possible in order to provide a bristle field which can be used in a wide variety of individual applications of the toothbrush. be operated by hand or electrically, the likelihood is increased that the tooth surfaces, the transitions to the interdental spaces and finally also the interdental spaces are applied as often as possible even during a cleaning process optimally.
  • the Fig. 3 to 5 show brush body 2 with a circular contour and correspondingly round bristle fields 1, which are to be used in electrically driven toothbrushes.
  • a central belt bundle 4 is shown, in which two inclined oblique surfaces lead to a roof-shaped shape of the end of use 5, which could also be the case with further bristle bundles 4.
  • the individual bristle bundles 4 are arranged along imaginary connecting lines in rows, wherein in the embodiments according to FIG Fig. 1 and 2 the longitudinal edge 6 of the brush body 2 in the region of the bristle field 1 represents or forms such a somewhat arcuate connecting line, parallel to which further imaginary connecting lines are provided in the longitudinal direction between each arranged bundles of bristles 4. Furthermore, one can clearly see rows of bundles of bristles running transversely to the direction of longitudinal extension, which are thus adjacent to one another on imaginary straight lines.
  • the round bristle fields 1 according to Fig. 3 show clearly imaginary circular lines, in particular an outer circle on which the outer bristle bundles are each arranged in a row, which then also gives the outer envelope of this bristle field 1.
  • an outer circle on which the outer bristle bundles are each arranged in a row
  • the outer and inner circles concentric with one another.
  • another bristle bundle 4 which is beveled roof-shaped in the illustrated embodiments at the end of use.
  • each other directly adjacent bristle bundles 4 with their inclined surfaces 5 are arranged relative to each other within the respective bristle field 1, that is, the inclined surfaces 5 of these bristle bundles are each oriented in a slightly different direction, but not opposite to each other and not arranged at right angles to each other. If you put diameter lines respectively through the highest points of the inclined surfaces, so these diameter lines are arranged relative to each other pivoted accordingly.
  • Fig. 5 it can be seen that the bristle bundles 4 arranged next to one another on the outer circle of the round bristle field 1 are not rotated relative to their circular connecting line but are arranged the same, ie they all have the same orientation with respect to the circle connecting them in their thoughts.
  • outer bristle bundles 4 and their inclined surfaces 5 of the embodiment according to Fig. 5 So is the feature of the mutual twisted arrangement at the same time twisted arrangement with respect to the connecting line is not met, but in the interior of this outer circle bristle bundles. 4
  • bristle bundles 4 which are directly adjacent to one another or spaced apart by bristle bundles 4 between them, can with their oblique surfaces 5 against each other and / or against an imaginary connecting line yet by 90 ° or 180 ° against each other be arranged twisted, but then more bristle bundles 4 of the bristle field 1 are arranged rotated by one or more different, contrasting angle.
  • bristle bundles 4 with their oblique surfaces 5 are also rotated by 90 ° or 180 ° relative to each other due to the mutual twisted arrangement, but at the same time further bristle bundles 4 with their oblique surfaces 5 In contrast, deviating angle amounts are fixed around their longitudinal axis of rotation relative to each other twisted.
  • Bristle fields 1 show, in which all bundles of bristles 4 at the use surfaces inclined surfaces 5, which may also be roof-shaped, show the Fig. 2 and 4 Embodiments in which in the bristle field 1 provided with inclined surfaces 5 or inclined surface bristle bundles 4 are combined with those whose use surfaces are shaped differently.
  • these not provided with inclined surfaces 5 bristle bundles 4 a are rounded to the ends of use, but could also be sharpened or contoured with a horizontal flat surface or in any other form.
