Definitions
- the invention relates to a trigger device for a rapid-fire handgun, with a trigger which can be pivoted against the force of a spring from a rest position into a trigger position and which acts on a pivotable catch lever.
- Rapid firearms such as submachine guns or machine guns, which are only set up to fire permanent fire, have a fairly simple trigger mechanism, a representative example of which is described below:
- a handle in which a trigger is pivotally mounted.
- the transverse pivot axis is located above the trigger, so that the rear, upper part travels upwards when the trigger is actuated.
- This rear, upper part of the trigger acts on the front end of a catch lever which, in turn, is mounted in the weapon housing or in the handle, pivotable about a transverse axis.
- the rear end of the catch lever is designed as an extraction stud.
- the catch lever is usually cushioned by its own spring and is pressed into a locking position by it. If the closure is now withdrawn from its front rest position, it moves the trigger stud and thus the rear end of the catch lever downwards, while at least partially running over the trigger stud. If a locking lug, which is formed on the underside of the closure, has run over the take-off lug, then this snaps up and places the locking lug behind. The weapon is now cocked and ready to fire.
- the trigger gallery lowers until it releases the locking gallery, the breech is released and the weapon begins to fire continuously. If the trigger is released, the trigger gallery jumps up again, places the locking gallery and thus keeps the breech in its ready-to-fire position (rear position). The continuous fire breaks off.
- a trigger safety device is used as a safety device, which does not allow the trigger to be operated unintentionally, but does not allow the trigger gallery to give way, for example due to inertia forces, for example when the loaded, cocked and trigger-proof machine gun falls off a truck.
- the breech should be retracted so far that the take-off gallery engages in the latching gallery so that the breech, which may have got caught, is released, runs forward and unintentionally triggers a shot.
- the invention has for its object to further develop a firearm of the above type with simple means that it is possible to secure it without mass forces being able to disengage the catch lever from the breech.
- the catch lever should therefore be immobile under the influence of inertial forces, but should be able to avoid the retracted closure, and this with simple means.
- the firearm mentioned at the outset is designed in the following manner:
- Trigger device for a rapid-fire handgun with a trigger (9) which can be pivoted against the force of a spring (13) from a rest position into a trigger position and which acts on a pivotable catch lever (21) which engages one in has the take-off lug (37) engaging the path of movement of the closure (3), with a securing device (47-55) preferably optionally fixing the take-off (9) in its rest position, the take-off lug (37) being formed on a catch pawl (33), which is pivotably attached to the catch lever (21) from a locking position against the force of a spring (35) into an ineffective position in which it does not engage in the movement path of the closure (3), - which in the movement path of the closure (3) engaging catch pawl (33) can be pressed into its locking position by the lock (3), and the securing device (47-55) is set up to also fix the catch lever (21), and a spring-loaded release pawl (43) on the trigger (9) "is attached, which in its rest position brings the catch lever
- the pawl has a low mass, and the mass forces that can be effective when falling are therefore smaller than the spring force of the spring that loads the pawl.
- the lock holds the pawl in the locking position, the locking spring, which acts on the lock, ensures the hold.
- the trigger acts on the catch lever. If the trigger is only released a little while the machine gun is firing, the breech strikes the edge of the trigger lug as it moves forward after its return and can thereby push the catch out of the movement path of the breech. It is not possible to fire a single shot or a short burst of fire precisely, • because one always has to reckon with one or two shots following unintentionally. Appropriate training can alleviate this problem by teaching soldiers to let go of the trigger very quickly. However, this is not a solution.
- the invention proposes that the securing device has an edge movable in the path of movement of the catch pawl, and that the catch pawl and its spring are designed such that when the catch lever is released, the catch pawl dodges in front of the edge, and the edge in an effective position of the catch lever then sets this and the catch pawl (claim 2).
- the release latch holds the catch lever (when the trigger is released) in ineffective position until the lock runs back and actuates the release latch, which in turn releases the catch lever.
- the catch lever now snaps into its effective position. Since the spring of the catch lever is stronger than the spring of the catch pawl, the catch pawl dodges the lock until it can fall into the locking studs.
- the catch pawl is in fact pivoted, the bearing being carried out on a transverse axis which passes through the catch pawl between the extraction tunnel and the other end. This transverse axis is fixed in the catch lever. If the locking lug retracts in a counterclockwise movement, the other end of the catch pawl also retracts counterclockwise. The other end of the catch pawl emerges from the edge of the securing device. As the catch lever pivots further, the catch pawl is raised further and pivots back over the mentioned edge when the trigger cleat engages in the catch cleat.
- a backward movement of the closure is possible, however, because the catch simply folds away.
- the edge is arranged so that the catch can just be folded away.
- the arrangement and design of the catch lever, catch pawl and movable edge, based on the handle, must therefore be done very precisely. However, since very few tolerances add up, this is easily possible without any manual rework being necessary.
- the security device could in principle be any usual type of backup, e.g. B. a slide lock or a push-button lock. It is particularly advantageous, however, that the securing device has a transverse, rotatable securing roller, on which a recess is formed, the side wall of which forms the aforementioned edge together with the circumference of the securing roller (claim 3).
- a securing roller has the advantage of passing the handle piece across, so that an actuating handle or securing lever can be attached to each of the ends and outside the handle piece.
- These right and left safety handles have the same assignment to the trigger and can be used in the same way for right-handed people as for left-handed people.
- the trigger device can be further developed in that the securing roller has a latching depression, a securing bolt is provided which engages in the latching depression in the firing position of the securing roller, and the securing bolt engages in the path of the trigger and fixes it when the Locking roller is in the locking position and the locking pin does not engage in the locking recess (claim 4).
- the optional, additional feature of a deduction protection is taken up here and included in the protection device. This inclusion is not only possible with a safety roller, but also with a safety device of a different kind. When securing a machine gun, it is necessary that this safety device is held in place by a strong catch if the weapon shakes strongly during the continuous fire is exposed. It must be prevented that the weapon locks itself inadvertently during shooting.
- the locking bolt is therefore further developed according to the invention as a locking bolt.
- the powerful latch is therefore further developed as a trigger safety device which switches on automatically when and as long as the safety roller is moved into the safe position. The deduction has been changed slightly.
- the trigger is provided with a design which, when the trigger is actuated, plunges into the movement of the safety bolt (claim 5). Since the trigger is usually made anyway as a die-cast or investment casting, this training can be produced without any additional costs.
- a locking recess is also provided in the locking roller for the locking position, into which the locking bolt falls as a locking bolt when the weapon is secured is how it is common. Stops are also provided which limit the rotational movement of the securing roller in each direction of rotation. These stops can also be formed on the outside of the handle and interact with the actuating levers of the securing roller.
- Figure 1 is a partially sectioned handle of a machine gun and the rear, lower part of the closure in the foremost position.
- the visible trigger mechanism is unlocked
- FIGS. 2 to 5 show a representation as in FIG. 1, but in the secured state, the closure being moved further backwards from figure to figure.
- a handle 1 is shown, above which a closure 3 can be moved horizontally along a central axis 5.
- the handle is attached to a housing in which a path of movement for the closure 3 is defined.
- the housing is not shown for the sake of simplicity.
- the handle 1 has a trigger bracket 7 on the front, in which a trigger 9 is inserted from above.
- the main part of this trigger 9 forms a pointed triangle pointing downwards, which is near the center its base is penetrated by a transverse trigger axis 11.
- a trigger spring 13 in the form of a two-leg, helical wire spring has two legs, of which the lower spring leg 15 presses the trigger 9 forward.
- the central spiral section of the trigger spring 13 loosely surrounds a cross pin 17.
- the upper spring leg 19 of the trigger spring is supported on a catch lever 21.
- This catch lever 21 is approximately rectilinear and has two lever arms, namely a front lever arm 23 and a rear lever arm 25.
- the upper spring leg 19 of the trigger spring 13 is supported on the rear lever arm 25 from below.
- a trigger roller 27 is seated under the center of the front lever arm 23. This trigger roller 27 is rotatable about a transverse axis which is located in the trigger 9, and is close to the rear part of the base of the trigger 9. Between the front 23 and rear lever arm 25 the catch lever 21 is pivotally mounted on a transverse lever axis 29.
- the upper spring leg 19 loads the catch lever 21 so that it is pivoted counterclockwise.
- the lower spring leg 15 loads the trigger 9 so that it is pivoted clockwise.
- the swivel directions relate to the representations of the drawings, in which the viewing direction is from the left.
- the trigger roller 27 raises the front lever arm 23 against the force of the trigger spring 13 and the end of the rear lever arm 25 is lowered.
- a catch pawl 33 pivotable about a cross bolt 39 is attached. Behind the cross bolt on the upper side of the catch pawl 33 there is an extraction stud 37. In front of the cross bolt 39 is a nose extending forward and downward
- a compression spring 35 sits between the underside of the rear lever arm 25 and the top of the nose 41. The compression spring 35 presses the catch pawl 33 upward.
- the front lever arm 23 is angled at its front end and is engaged in a certain operating position, which is shown in FIG. 1, by a release pawl 43.
- This release pawl 43 is pivotally mounted about a pin against the force of a pawl spring 45.
- the pawl spring 45 loads the release pawl 43 counterclockwise.
- the pin is attached to the trigger near the front of the base thereof.
- the free end of the release pawl 43 projects into the movement path of the closure 3.
- the catch lever 21 is held in an inactive position when the trigger 9 is released and the closure 3 is not exactly in its rear position. Only when the shutter 3 runs backwards does it run onto the release pawl 43 and pivot it clockwise.
- the release pawl 43 pivots clockwise and releases the catch lever 21 free.
- This catch lever 21 consequently pivots counterclockwise, so that the take-off lug 37 can engage behind the locking lug 31 of the closure 3 and hold it in the rearmost position.
- the release pawl 43 enables a more controlled firing than if it were missing.
- the trigger pawl 43 is also a reason why it is not possible by a simple, so-called
- Fig. 1 shows, for example, the state which the machine gun takes up 'when the shooter has its empty shot cartridge belt when disconnected from the hood and then releases the trigger.
- closure 3 could be retracted, because the catch pawl 33 would deflect against the force of the compression spring 35 and let the closure pass to the rear.
- the trigger 9 would still be freely movable. The shooter could not
- both the catch lever 21 as well as the trigger 9 in secured to ⁇ sets.
- the handle 1 In the rear, upper part, the handle 1 is penetrated by a transverse, rotating securing roller 47. On one end or both ends of this securing roller 47 on the respective outside of the
- Handle 1 sits a dash-actuated safety actuation lever, which is easily accessible from the thumb of the hand operating the trigger.
- the securing roller 47 has two defined rotational positions, the fire position and the safe position.
- the fire situation is shown in Fig. 1.
- the safe position is shown in FIGS. 2 to 5.
- the securing roller 47 has two recesses on its outer circumference, a catch pawl recess 49 and a securing bolt recess 51. Furthermore, a horizontal securing bolt 53 is mounted in the handle 1 between the trigger 9 and the securing roller 47, which acts horizontally against the force of a securing spring (not shown) to the rear is mobile.
- the securing bolt 53 is formed at its end facing the securing roller 47 as a frusto-conical locking head which, in the firing position of the securing roller 47, engages in the securing bolt construction recess 51 (FIG. 1) and reliably holds the securing roller 47 in the firing position. In the safe position (Fig. 2-5) the tip of the locking head falls into a small depression in the outer surface of the securing roller 47. This depression cannot be seen in the drawing, but is located between the two recesses 49 and 51.
- the locking spring is located in a blind hole in the handle.
- the bottom of this blind hole is formed by a wall inside the handle 1.
- the trigger 9 in turn has a spur-shaped extension 55 which extends backwards and upwards from the center of its rear triangular edge. If trigger 9 is actuated then the free end of this extension moves
- the securing bolt 53 passes through the aforementioned blind hole and penetrates the bottom thereof, that is to say the wall mentioned above. In the fire position, in which the securing bolt 53 falls into the deep securing bolt recess 51 of the securing roller, the front end of the securing bolt closes approximately with the surface of said wall facing the trigger 9 (FIG. 1). The trigger 9 can thus be pulled freely.
- the securing roller 47 is pivoted into the secure position (FIG. 2-5), the securing bolt 53 is pressed out of the securing bolt recess 51 (to the front). Its front end engages in the pivot path of the extension 55 of the trigger 9. The trigger 9 can therefore no longer be actuated, at least not up to the pressure point.
- the catch lever 21 is pivoted by the release pawl 43 into an end position in which the nose 41 of the catch pawl 33 runs against the one side wall of the wedge-shaped catch pawl recess 49.
- the safety roller 47 By pivoting the safety roller 47 into the safe position, that is to say counterclockwise (in the drawing), the catch pawl recess 49 engages around the nose 41.
- the release pawl 43 is pivoted clockwise and releases the catch lever 21. This snaps counterclockwise under the action of the powerful trigger spring 13 with the rear lever arm 25 upwards.
- the edge of the nose 41 abuts against the other side wall of the catch pawl recess 49 lying at the top.
- the nose 41 dodges by the entire catch pawl 33 against the relatively weak force of the compression spring 35 in Pivots clockwise, and runs over the edge of the
- the take-off lug falls into the locking lug and the lug 41 pivots over the securing roller 47 (FIG. 5). If, for example, the weapon falls from a truck onto the floor and mass forces try to pivot the catch lever 21, the lower surface of the nose 41 abuts against the circumference of the securing roller 47. This also prevents the pivoting movement of the catch pawl 33 and fixes it.
