Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmetauscher in gehäuseloser Plattenbauweise, bei der jeweils zwei verformte Platten (1, 2) ein Flachrohr (3) bilden, die gestapelt sind, wobei an einem Ende des Stapels der Flachrohre (3) ein Eintrittssammelkasten (4) in der Art eines Diffusors und am anderen Ende ein Austrittssammelkasten (5), beispielsweise für Abgas oder Ladeluft, angeordnet ist, das / die durch die Flachrohre (3) strömt und dabei mittels Kühlmittel gekühlt wird, welches über in den Stapel hinein sich erstreckende Kanäle (10) einleitbar und ausleitbar ist, wobei die Kanäle (10) mittels verbundener Öffnungen (11) in den verformten Platten (1, 2) gebildet sind und wobei die Kanäle (10) mit zwischen den Flachrohren (3) vorhandenen Strömungskanälen (12) hydraulisch verbunden sind.
Ein herstellungsfreundlicher und mit hervorragenden Funktionseigenschaften versehener Wärmetauscher wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch geschaffen, dass in einem der Sammelkästen (4, 5) ein Umschaltventil (20) angeordnet ist, mit dem zumindest der überwiegende Anteil des durch die Flachrohre (3) zu leitenden Gasstroms entweder durch eine Mehrzahl von gekühlten Flachrohren (3) des Stapels oder durch mindestens ein ungekühltes Flachrohr (3) lenkbar ist, wobei zwischen den gekühlten und dem mindestens einen ungekühlten Flachrohr (3) eine Isolationsplatte (30) angeordnet ist, die mit einer verformten Platte (1, 2) des mindestens einen ungekühlten Flachrohres (3) und mit der angrenzenden verformten Platte (1, 2) eines gekühlten Flachrohres (3) verbunden ist, wobei ein nicht durchströmter Raum (101) zwischen der Isolationsplatte (30) und der verformten Platte (1, 2) verbleibt. Ein zweiter erfindungsgemäßer Vorschlag sieht vor, dass in einem der Sammelkästen (4, 5) ein Umschaltventil (20) angeordnet ist, mit dem zumindest der überwiegende Anteil des durch die Flachrohre zu leitenden Gasstroms entweder durch eine Mehrzahl von gekühlten Flachrohren (3) des Stapels oder durch mindestens ein ungekühltes Flachrohr (3) lenkbar ist, wobei eine Trennung zwischen den gekühlten Flachrohren (3) und dem mindestens einen ungekühlten Flachrohr durch einen Verschluss (100) der die Kanäle (10) bildenden Öffnungen (11) in mindestens einer der angrenzenden verformten Platten (1, 2) vorgesehen ist und ein nicht durchströmter Raum (101) zwischen den verformten Platten (1, 2) vorhanden ist.
