  • le couvercle comporte :
    • un rebord périphérique (3), destiné à être emboíté sur le rebord dudit récipient, et à être solidarisé à celui-ci par collage ou soudage ;
    • un disque (4) formant couvercle proprement dit, muni d'un organe de préhension (5) positionné sensiblement à sa périphérie ;
    • une ligne de moindre résistance (10), s'étendant au niveau du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle, ladite ligne de moindre résistance (10) présentant une discontinuité au niveau de laquelle elle s'étend localement (12) en direction du centre du disque d'obturation (4) au voisinage de l'organe de préhension (5).

Description

L'invention concerne un emballage de conditionnement, notamment de produits alimentaires, réalisés en matière plastique.
De tels emballages en matière plastique sont largement connus, notamment pour le conditionnement de produits alimentaires. Parmi ceux-ci, on peut citer un emballage décrit dans le document FR-A-2 707 951.
Cet emballage est constitué d'une barquette rigide, qui présente une ouverture délimitée par un rebord périphérique en forme de U inversé, et destiné à recevoir un couvercle comportant un rebord périphérique, de forme complémentaire, donc également en forme de U inversé, destiné à être emboíté, sur le rebord périphérique de la barquette.
L'étanchéité entre la barquette et le couvercle est assurée au moyen de deux bandes annulaires, prolongeant les bords périphériques respectifs de la barquette et du couvercle, soudées entre elles sur toute la bordure périphérique externe, et présentant une entaille de déchirure, pour permettre l'ouverture postérieure du couvercle, lors de la première utilisation.
Cependant, un tel couvercle n'assure pas de manière satisfaisante l'obturation du récipient après première utilisation.
On connaít également, de par le document FR-A-2 471 925, un emballage, également en matière plastique, comportant un récipient proprement dit, obturé par un couvercle, avec, comme dans l'exemple précédent, solidarisation par soudage des rebords d'extension et présence d'une zone de moindre résistance du couvercle. De la sorte, et lors de la première utilisation, le couvercle est détaché de son rebord périphérique, puis peut être refermé par emboítement de celui-ci, au sein du récipient, présentant à cet effet un épaulement coopérant avec un épaulement dont est également muni le couvercle.
Outre le fait que l'outil de fabrication d'un tel couvercle est relativement onéreux, de par la complexité de son architecture, ledit couvercle, après première utilisation devient indépendant du récipient, ce qui s'avère peu commode à l'usage.
L'invention propose un emballage du type en question, permettant tout d'abord d'optimiser son étanchéité avant utilisation, notamment au gaz, de telle sorte à pouvoir augmenter la date limite de conservation de manière significative. Corollairement, l'emballage conforme à l'invention, vise à optimiser l'inviolabilité, de manière bien apparente, et en outre, permet d'être moulé en une seule étape.
Cet objectif est réalisé en séparant les fonctions d'étanchéité et d'ouverture proprement dite.
Cet emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique, constitué d'un récipient fermé par un couvercle, dans lequel :
  • le récipient présente une ouverture délimitée par un rebord périphérique à section en forme de U inversé, formé de deux branches respectivement interne prolongeant la paroi latérale du récipient, et externe ;
  • le couvercle comporte :
    • un rebord périphérique, également à section en forme de U, de forme complémentaire au rebord périphérique du récipient, destiné à être emboíté sur le rebord dudit récipient, et à être solidarisé à celui-ci par collage ou soudage ;
    • un disque formant couvercle proprement dit, muni d'un organe de préhension positionné sensiblement à sa périphérie ;
    • une ligne de moindre résistance, s'étendant au niveau du rebord périphérique du couvercle.
Il se caractérise, en ce que la ligne de moindre résistance présente une discontinuité au niveau de laquelle elle s'étend localement en direction du centre du disque au voisinage de l'organe de préhension.
En outre, selon une caractéristique avantageuse de l'invention, le bord périphérique du disque est muni d'une nervure radiale s'étendant entre le lieu d'implantation de l'organe de préhension et le rebord périphérique du couvercle.
La mise en oeuvre d'une telle configuration, doublée en outre par la présence de la nervure radiale permet de concentrer la force transmise par l'organe de préhension, lors de la première ouverture, en un lieu déterminé et focalisé de la ligne de moindre résistance, permettant ainsi de prévoir une telle ligne de moindre résistance de plus grande épaisseur, et par voie de conséquence, de disposer d'une grande tolérance, favorisant la fabrication du couvercle.
En outre, de par la plus grande épaisseur de la ligne de moindre résistance, on dispose d'un effet charnière, que l'on peut localiser de manière diamétralement opposée par rapport au lieu d'implantation de l'organe de préhension, permettant une multiple réutilisation du disque faisant fonction de couvercle, et ainsi conserver plus longtemps les aliments contenus dans le récipient.
Ainsi, l'invention vise à bien scinder les fonctions de fixation, par soudure ou collage, du couvercle sur le récipient, et d'ouverture dudit récipient. En effet, ce n'est pas à proprement parler le couvercle qui est ouvert, dans la mesure où son rebord périphérique demeure en permanence collé ou soudé sur le rebord périphérique du récipient, mais le disque d'obturation central qui est susceptible d'être ouvert. Ce faisant, on optimise de manière importante l'étanchéité du contenu dudit récipient, notamment par rapport aux récipients de l'art antérieur. En outre, on dispose d'une pièce unique, dans laquelle ledit disque n'est pas désolidarisé de l'ensemble constituant couvercle et récipient.
Dans une première forme de réalisation de l'invention, cette ligne de moindre résistance est quasi-continue et présente des interruptions propres à constituer des charnières d'articulation du disque sur le rebord périphérique du couvercle.
Dans une autre forme de réalisation de l'invention, cette ligne de moindre résistance est en fait constituée par une succession de points d'attache ou picots, solidarisant à intervalles réguliers les deux parties de la portion plane du rebord périphérique du couvercle, les zones de ladite portion plane du couvercle s'étendant entre les points d'attache ou picots étant exemptes de toute matière.
La manière dont l'invention peut être réalisée et les avantages qui en découlent ressortiront mieux des exemples de réalisation qui suivent, donnés à titre indicatif et non limitatif à l'appui des figures annexées.
  • La figure 1 est une représentation schématique en perspective d'un emballage de conditionnement conforme à l'invention, présenté en configuration fermée.
  • La figure 2 est une vue analogue à la figure 1, représentée en configuration ouverte.
  • La figure 3 est une vue du dessus du couvercle, selon une première forme de réalisation de l'invention, dont la figure 4 est une vue en perspective, et dont la figure 5 est une représentation schématique en section, et la figure 6 une vue en détail du rebord périphérique du couvercle, au voisinage de la nervure caractéristique de l'invention.
  • Les figures 7 à 10 sont des représentations analogues aux figures 4 à 7 d'une seconde forme de réalisation de l'invention.
  • La figure 11 est une représentation schématique en perspective en détail de la variante de l'invention.
  • La figure 12 représente l'emboítement des rebords périphériques respectifs du couvercle sur le récipient selon la première forme de réalisation, et la figure 13 une vue analogue de la seconde forme de réalisation de l'invention.
  • La figure 14 est une représentation schématique en perspective d'une variante de l'anneau de préhension de l'invention en position refermé sur le récipient, que la figure 15 illustre en position d'empilage, et la figure 16 en position de soudure.
    • On a donc représenté en relation avec les figures 1 et 2, une forme de réalisation de l'emballage de conditionnement conforme à l'invention.
    Dans la description qui suit, cet emballage est plus particulièrement destiné à recevoir un produit alimentaire frais, du type salade etc...
    Fondamentalement, celui-ci comporte un récipient de forme arrondie (1), dans l'exemple décrit, de symétrie de révolution, présentant une ouverture supérieure (6), destinée à être obturée par un couvercle (2).
    Le rebord supérieur du récipient (1) présente une section en forme de U inversé, tel qu'on peut l'observer au sein des figures 12 et 13.
    Plus précisément, cette disposition particulière comporte une branche interne (7), une branche externe (8), les deux branches étant reliées entre elles par une portion sensiblement horizontale (9).
    La branche interne (7) prolonge en fait la paroi latérale du récipient (1), l'ensemble étant issu du moulage, notamment par injection.
    Le couvercle (2) est constitué d'un rebord périphérique (3), destiné à venir s'emboíter sur le rebord périphérique du récipient (1), et comporte en outre un disque (4) obturant l'ouverture (6) du récipient (1). Le disque (2) est muni, au voisinage de sa périphérie, d'un organe de préhension (5), constitué dans le cas d'espèce d'un anneau sensiblement circulaire, dont les deux extrémités sont solidarisés sur la base du disque d'obturation (4) au voisinage du bord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2).,.
    Selon cette forme de réalisation, l'anneau de préhension est systématiquement orienté selon un plan parallèle au disque (4), sauf lors des phases d'ouverture. Il revient après de telles phases à sa position naturelle dans ledit plan parallèle au disque (4), de par l'effet élastique de la matière plastique qui le constitue.
    On a décrit en relation avec les figures 3 à 6, une première forme de réalisation du couvercle (2) conforme à l'invention. Le couvercle, selon cette première forme de réalisation, présente donc un rebord (3) faisant saillie par rapport au plan général du disque (4) (voir figures 4 et 5).
    Le rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2) est également en section en forme de U inversé, de telle sorte à pouvoir s'emboíter sur le rebord périphérique du récipient (1), ainsi qu'on peut bien l'observer sur les figures 12 et 13.
    Il est constitué :
    • d'une branche interne (15), s'étendant à partir du disque (4) et destinée à venir en contact avec la branche interne (7) du rebord périphérique du récipient (1),
    • d'une branche externe (16) destinée à venir coopérer avec la branche externe (8) du récipient (1),
    • et d'une partie plane (17) reliant de manière continue ou discontinue, lesdites branches interne et externe (15) et (16).
    Avantageusement, la branche externe (16) du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2) est munie d'une saillie (18) dirigée vers l'intérieur, destinée à favoriser la coopération entre la branche externe (16) du couvercle (2) et l'extrémité inférieure de la branche externe (8) du récipient (1).
    Selon l'invention, la partie plane (17) du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2) présente une zone de moindre résistance (10), sensiblement circulaire.
    Cette zone de moindre résistance est obtenue par réduction de la quantité de matière à ce niveau, ainsi qu'on peut bien l'observer, notamment sur la figure 6, ou la figure 12.
    Cette ligne de moindre résistance (10) est sensiblement continue, sauf au niveau de deux zones (11), sensiblement diamétralement opposée à la zone d'implantation de l'anneau de préhension (5).
    Ces zones (11) sont destinées à constituer charnières lors de l'ouverture du disque (4).
    Corollairement et selon l'invention, la zone du rebord périphérique située à l'aplomb de l'anneau de préhension (5) présente une discontinuité constituée d'un bec (12), orientée au direction du centre du disque (4), et destinée à favoriser l'amorce de rupture de la ligne de moindre résistance (10).
    En outre et selon une caractéristique de l'invention, le rebord périphérique se prolonge au niveau du bec (12) par une nervure (13), radiale, s'étendant sensiblement sur toute la hauteur du rebord périphérique, ainsi qu'on peut l'observer, notamment figures 5 et 6. Cette nervure constitue en quelque sorte une extension du bec (12).
    Ce faisant, la nervure aboutit sensiblement sur le disque entre les deux zones d'implantation des extrémités de l'anneau de préhension (5) sur le disque (4) (voir figures 5 et 11).
    Cette nervure a pour objet de concentrer l'effort de traction exercé par l'anneau de préhension (5) au niveau du bec (12), et partant favoriser la rupture de la ligne de moindre résistance (10).
    De par la concentration de l'effort de traction, il devient possible d'augmenter l'épaisseur effective de la ligne de moindre résistance (10), se traduisant par un double effet.
    Tout d'abord, l'effet charnière est augmenté par optimisation de la résistance mécanique d'arrachage du disque hors du rebord périphérique. Il n'est pas rare en effet qu'une traction excessive exercée par l'utilisateur provoque l'arrachement total du disque.
    En outre, il permet d'aboutir à une plus grande coopération entre la paroi interne (15) du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle avec la paroi interne (7) du rebord du récipient, optimisant de fait les conditions de conservation du contenu du récipient, après première ouverture, de par l'étanchéité relative née de cette coopération.
    Dans une autre forme de réalisation représentée en relation avec les figures 7 à 10, la ligne de moindre résistance (10) est remplacée par l'absence de toute matière à ce niveau.
    Seuls des picots (19) solidarisent à intervalles réguliers les portions de la partie plane (17) du rebord périphérique du couvercle (2). L'effet charnière est maintenu de par la présente de picots, en des lieux appropriés, toujours en position sensiblement diamétralement opposée par rapport à l'anneau de préhension (5), et le principe de la nervure demeure également identique.
    Alors que la première forme de réalisation est plus particulièrement approprié dans le cadre d'une fixation par soudage du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2) sur le rebord périphérique du récipient (1), la seconde forme de réalisation est tout particulièrement mise en oeuvre dans le cadre d'une solidarisation par collage.
    Dans le première cas, le soudage par ultrasons notamment, intervient sensiblement selon une portion annulaire (20) externe par rapport à la partie respectivement (9) et (17) des rebords périphériques du récipient (1) et du couvercle (2).
    En revanche, le collage (21) s'effectue sensiblement sur toute la partie plane, tel qu'on peut l'observer sur la figure 13.
    Ce mode de solidarisation permet de conférer au contenu du récipient une parfaite étanchéité, y compris au gaz, pendant une période déterminée, ce qui constitue l'un des buts recherchés par la présente invention.
    Selon l'invention, l'ensemble constitué par le couvercle (2), le disque d'obturation (4) et l'organe de préhension (5) est monobloc et directement obtenu de moulage par injection.
    Le système de fixation mis en oeuvre et en outre le principe de la zone de moindre résistance confèrent en outre l'inviolabilité au récipient.
    En effet, si celui-ci a été ouvert une première fois, cela apparaít de manière évidente et immédiate à l'acquéreur potentiel dudit récipient.
    Par ailleurs, de par le système de fermeture mis en oeuvre, l'ouverture du récipient est très aisé par l'utilisateur, et s'effectue en une seule opération.
    Selon une variante de l'invention représentée en relation avec les figures 14 à 16, l'anneau de préhension (5) n'est pas solidarisé sur la base du disque (4), mais au niveau supérieur de son rebord périphérique, dans une zone immédiatement adjacente au bec (12). Cette forme de réalisation permet d'éviter la mise en oeuvre de la nervure radiale (13), et donc simplifie la réalisation de l'emballage de l'invention.
    En outre, cet anneau peut être conformé de telle sorte à s'étendre selon deux plans concourants, ainsi qu'on peut bien l'observer au sein des figures 15 et 16, susceptible ainsi de permettre son rabattement sur le fond du disque (4), et corollairement, à favoriser l'empilage des emballages conformes à l'invention les uns sur les autres.
    Afin d'ouvrir ledit emballage, il convient tout d'abord de tirer la languette de l'anneau vers le haut, libérant alors le passage du doigt dont il est muni, et alors procéder à une traction, dont les efforts se concentrent au niveau du bec (12).
    Il peut être observé que par la mise en oeuvre du système de fermeture de l'invention, on évite la mise en place de tout système d'operculage, qui, s'il est certes garant d'une étanchéité satisfaisante, en revanche engendre des surcoûts non négligeables, tant lors de la fabrication de l'emballage que lors de son remplissage et de sa fermeture.
    On conçoit de fait tout l'intérêt de la présente invention dans le cadre du stockage et de la conservation de produits alimentaires dans des récipients, notamment pour des produits dits « fraícheurs ».
    En outre, l'emballage de l'invention se présente sous une seule pièce, remplissant les différentes fonctions qui lui sont dévolues, et notamment la fermeture étanche, et les différentes opérations d'ouverture et de fermeture consécutives après première utilisation.

    Claims (8)

    1. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique, constitué d'un récipient (1) fermé par un couvercle (2), dans lequel :
      le récipient (1) présente une ouverture (6) délimitée par un rebord périphérique à section en forme de U inversé, formé de deux branches respectivement interne (7), prolongeant la paroi latérale du récipient, et externe(8) ;
      le couvercle (2) comporte :
      un rebord périphérique (3), également à section en forme de U, de forme complémentaire au rebord périphérique du récipient (1), destiné à être emboíté sur le rebord dudit récipient, et à être solidarisé à celui-ci par collage ou soudage ;
      un disque (4) formant couvercle proprement dit, muni d'un organe de préhension (5) positionné sensiblement à sa périphérie ;
      une ligne de moindre résistance (10), s'étendant au niveau du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2) ;
      caractérisé en ce que la ligne de moindre résistance (10) présente une discontinuité au niveau de laquelle elle s'étend localement (12) en direction du centre du disque d'obturation (4) au voisinage de l'organe de préhension (5).
    2. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la discontinuité de la ligne de moindre résistance (10) a la forme d'un bec (12) en direction du centre du disque (4), à l'aplomb de l'organe de préhension (5).
    3. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon l'une des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce que la périphérie du disque d'obturation (4) est munie d'une nervure radiale (13) s'étendant entre le lieu d'implantation de l'organe de préhension (5) et le rebord périphérique du couvercle dans le prolongement de l'extension locale (12) de la ligne de moindre résistance (10).
    4. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel la solidarisarion du rebord périphérique du couvercle (2) sur le rebord périphérique du récipient (1) est réalisée par soudage, caractérisé en ce que la ligne de moindre résistance (10) est quasi-continue, et présente des interruptions (11), propres à constituer des charnières d'articulation du disque d'obturation (4) sur le rebord périphérique du couvercle (2).
    5. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel la solidarisation du rebord périphérique du couvercle (2) sur le rebord périphérique du récipient (1) est réalisé par collage, caractérisé en ce que la ligne de moindre résistance (10) est constituée par une succession de points d'attache ou picots (19), solidarisant à intervalles réguliers les deux parties de la portion plane (17) du rebord périphérique (3) du couvercle (2), les zones de ladite portion plane (17) du couvercle (2) s'étendant entre les points d'attache ou picots (19) étant exemptes de toute matière.
    6. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon l'une des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que l'organe de préhension (5) est constitué par un anneau sensiblement circulaire, dont les deux extrémités sont solidarisés sur la base du disque d'obturation (4).
    7. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon l'une des revendications 1, 2, 4 et 5, caractérisé en ce que l'organe de préhension (5) est constitué par un anneau solidarisé au niveau supérieur du rebord périphérique du couvercle (2), dans une zone immédiatement adjacente au bec (12).
    8. Emballage de conditionnement en matière plastique selon l'une des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisé en ce que l'ensemble constitué par le couvercle (2), le disque d'obturation (4) et l'organe de préhension (5) est monobloc et directement obtenu de moulage par injection.
