Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé servant à éliminer autant que possible automatiquement des erreurs survenant dans le chemin de transport d'une matière à imprimer dans un dispositif d'impression ou de reproduction électrographique. A cet effet, les différents modules des unités du dispositif d'impression sont contrôlés successivement, à l'inverse du sens de transport de la matière à imprimer, afin de savoir si le module peut éliminer l'erreur ou non et, dans ce deuxième cas, si le module peut être évité. A la fin de la procédure de contrôle, l'état de chaque module contrôlé est interrogé et, selon le résultat, l'impression reprend ou le dispositif d'impression est arrêté. Si un module fonctionne mal, le procédé vérifie si le fonctionnement est possible même sans ce module ; dans l'affirmative, un message signale que c'est possible.
