L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de transmission de données entre un système de casiers à colis postaux et au moins une unité centrale de traitement de données au sein d'un système logistique permettant le fonctionnement d'un ou de plusieurs systèmes de casiers à colis postaux. Cette invention se caractérise en ce que des événements sur un système de casiers à colis postaux (20) sont évalués au moyen d'un dispositif de communication (21) puis ce dispositif de communication (21) transmet à l'unité de traitement de données (30) des appels de fonctions associés à ces événements, laquelle unité de traitement de données (30) exécute les fonctions correspondantes et renvoie éventuellement des données au dispositif de communication (21) dudit système de casiers (20).
