  • Such an insulating housing is known for example from DE 197 12 182 AI.

Because each passage opening is delimited by ribbed arches from several sides, the leakage current is forced to flow over an area profiled by the ribs, the leakage path being increased according to the invention. It is by no means necessary for the costal arches to be closed and to run around the passage opening.
  • the costal arches can only limit the passage opening from three sides. In this case, however, it must be ensured that the path that the leakage current would have to take in order to bypass the costal arches is greater than the direct path to a component with different electrical potential.

  • the leakage current was thus optimized for a given cavity.
  • FIG. 3 shows a further longitudinally sectioned view of the insulating material housing according to FIG. 1, in which the multi-sided limitation of the passage opening 10 by the rib arches, that is to say by the longitudinal ribs 12 and the transverse ribs 13, is illustrated once again.
