Definitions
- the present invention relates to a pair of hearing aids the preamble of claim 1.
- Deafness occurs mainly due to aging, though hearing with advancing age in performance usually loses both ears of the Age-related hearing loss are affected.
- the hearing loss of the left ear is not identical to that of the right ear, so consequently the two hearing aids different settings exhibit.
- the outward-facing Areas of the hearing aids of a pair of hearing aids with visual Markings such as color markings too provided by which the user can identify which of the hearing aids the left and which of the hearing aids associated with the right ear.
- visual Markings such as color markings too provided by which the user can identify which of the hearing aids the left and which of the hearing aids associated with the right ear.
- the Applicant a behind-the-ear hearing aid pair on the market, one of the hearing aids with a blue and the other Hearing aid with a red dot on the housing surface is marked.
- the Applicant is an in-ear hearing aid pair known in which the shells of the two In-ear hearing aids have different colors.
- the present invention is based on the object To provide hearing aid pair, the above-mentioned Disadvantage does not have.
- a hearing aid pair according to the invention allows identify which of the hearing aids of a pair of hearing aids the left and which of the hearing aids the right ear is assigned, so the risk of confusion between the hearing aids of a pair of hearing aids clearly is lowered.
- offers the hearing aid pairs configured according to the invention a non-visual identification option for correct assignment of the respective hearing aid to appropriate ear.
- Fig. 1 shows a pair designed according to the invention Behind-the-ear hearing aids, in perspective, in which the sound reinforcement components (not shown), like microphone, handset and amplifier in one Housing 1 are housed, which is worn behind the ear becomes.
- the hearing aid angle 2 is a Plastic hose, through which of the Sound reinforcement components amplified sound (not shown) opening into the ear canal Earpiece is supplied.
- the battery compartment cover 110 can be opened to insert a battery and is this by means of a hinge connection on the housing. 1 pivoted.
- the volume control 6 and the Program selector 7 are on the upper housing part. 3 intended. With the help of the program selector 7 can be chosen between different hearing programs, which are set for different soundscapes and e.g. a program for language in a quiet environment as well include a program for speech in noise.
- the outside of the hearing device angle is 2 of a hearing aid with two at a distance from each other arranged, from the surface of the hearing aid angle.
- 2 protruding beads 4 provided over the entire Extent circumference of the hearing aid 2 extend and advantageous are arranged such that the beads 4 not on the Skin come to rest, so the wearing comfort is not is impaired.
- grooves 5 and the beads 4 are the information, which ear is assigned to the respective hearing aid encoded.
- the code is: grooves 5 identify the Hearing aid and beads 4 associated with the left ear identify the hearing aid associated with the right ear.
- the user can tactile the grooves 5 and the beads 4 recognize and, with knowledge of the code, the hearing aid for the identify left and right ear hearing aids.
- FIG. 2 shows a pair of in-the-ear hearing aids configured according to the invention, in which the sound reinforcement components (not shown), like microphone, handset and amplifier are arranged in a housing 8,9, worn in the ear and individually adapted to the auditory canal Shell 9 and one in the state of the worn hearing aid the ear facing outward base plate 8 includes.
- the Sound reinforcement components like microphone, handset and amplifier
- the Battery compartment lid 11 is by means of a hinge connection pivotally attached to the base plate 8.
- the Battery compartment lid 11 is the one with the base plate 8 connected volume controls 10.
- the pulling thread 12 is used to remove the hearing aids from the ear.
- a knob-like elevation 13 Located next to the volume control 10 of a hearing aid a knob-like elevation 13, while next to the Volume control 10 of the other hearing aid one blind hole-like recess 14 is formed.
- knob-like elevation 13 and the blind hole-like Well 14 is the information encoded to which ear the respective hearing device is assigned.
- the knob-like elevation 13 identifies that to the left Ear associated hearing aid and the blind hole-like depression 14 identifies the hearing aid associated with the right ear.
- the user can the knob-like elevation 13 and the blind hole-like depression 14 tactile recognize, and at Knowledge of the code the hearing aid for the left and the Identify hearing aid for the right ear.
- the shape of the code 4, 5, 13, 14 not shown in Figs. 1 and 2 Bead, knob, blind hole or Nutenformen is limited.
- the code may generally be Surveys of any shape and form act of an outwardly facing surface of at least one of Hearing aids protrude.
- the code 4, 5, 13, 14 around indentations of any shape and form acting on an outward-facing surface at least one of the hearing aids are provided.
- the code 4, 5, 13, 14 may be in the form of braille characters present, and e.g. the letters L for "left” and R for Include “right” in braille.
- the Code 4, 5, 13, 14 other than those shown, suitable Set on outward-facing surfaces of the hearing aid be provided.
- Behind-the-ear hearing aids are available for example, the following places for the placement of Codes 4, 5, 13, 14: Outward facing areas of Battery compartment cover 110, volume control 6, Program selector switch 7, housing 1, housing upper part 3, (not shown) plate for serial number.
- codes 4, 5, 13, 14 in question pointing outward Areas of the shell 9 (in places in the state of worn hearing aid in contact with the ear canal are), the base plate 8, the battery compartment lid 11, in the Condition of the worn hearing aid in the ear canal facing side of the shell 9.
- the tactile provided by codes 4, 5, 13, 14 detectable information may further by different Shapes or different Surface finish of a component (such as the Volume control 6 and / or program selector switch 7 and / or the battery compartment lid 11, 110 and / or the Cover of the programming interface (in the figures not shown) and / or the microphone wind and weather protection 100 in behind-the-ear hearing aids) of the one Hearing aid compared to the corresponding component of be provided and coded to other hearing aid.
- a component such as the Volume control 6 and / or program selector switch 7 and / or the battery compartment lid 11, 110 and / or the Cover of the programming interface (in the figures not shown) and / or the microphone wind and weather protection 100 in behind-the-ear hearing aids
- Electro / mechanical transducer unit provided by the user Perceptible sound generated, signals on the input side to be supplied by the electro / mechanical Converter unit, for example, in voice sequences, Tonresp. Music sequences or sounds with the information to Converted right / left identifier and fed to the user become.
- a sound storage device would be, for example, a previously known data storage integrated in the hearing aid use.
- the acoustic information about you provided on the hearing aid audio frequency generator for example in the form of "beeps" of appropriate pitch provide.
- the performance of the acoustic information should preferably be such that they are already before the device introduced into the ear canal will be perceived e.g. even if you use the device a few inches from Keeps the ear away.
