Abstract

Für die Untersuchung von Flüssigkeiten in der Biologie, Biochemie, Chemie, Medizin und Pharmazie werden Verfahren angewendet, die mit erheblichem Aufwand für das Handhaben der Flüssigkeiten und für Hilfsmittel verbunden sind, und die eine Mindestmenge an Flüssigkeit benötigen. Die mikrostrukturierte Plattform enthält Hohlräume und Kapillaren, in denen die Flüssigkeit durch Kapillarkraft transportiert wird. Sie umfasst fluidische Schalter, Dosiereinrichtungen für die Flüssigkeit, Abtrennvorrichtungen für die Flüssigkeit aus einer Dispersion und Bereiche zum Zusammenhalten einer begrenzten Flüssigkeitsmenge. Das Kapillarsystem kann verzweigt sein. Die Plattform ist für eine Vielzahl von Untersuchungen mit Flüssigkeitsmengen im Mikroliterbereich geeignet. Es werden nur sehr geringe Mengen von Reagenzien und Hilfsmittel benötigt, die in den Hohlräumen in eingetrockneter oder immobilisierter Form vorgelegt ein können. Auf einer Plattform sind unterschiedliche Untersuchungen, die gleichzeitig nebeneinander oder nacheinander ablaufen können., realisierbar. Die Plattfrom ist in großer Stückzahl wirtschaftlich herstellbar und an viele Forderungen zum Reaktionsablauf und zur Auswertung der Untersuchungsergebnisse anpassbar.
