- Clamping ring 62 has one or more 62-5 through passages the thickness of the ring 62. This or these passages 62-5 detect any possible leakage along the neck and C-neck threads 16. If several passages 62-5 are provided, they can be spaced one from the other in the circumferential direction.
- the ring 62 can be tightened by means of a tool (not shown) that can engage one or other of these passages 62-5.
- passages 62-5 open into an inner circumferential groove 62-6 located between the upper part 62-1 and the part lower 62-3. However, for tightening the ring 62 it can also have a hexagonal outer shape or any other appropriate form. Passes 62-5 may be radial holes located between the two opposite ends of the ring 62, or radial grooves (not shown) formed in the lower surface of the ring 62.
- the internal diameter of the part lower 62-3 of the clamping ring 62 is only slightly larger than the maximum external diameter of the conical thread 16-1 and substantially equal thereto. It is enough that the inner diameter of the lower part 62-3 of the clamping ring 62 is a little larger than the diameter external peak of the 16-1 conical thread to allow axial displacement of the ring 62 on the base 16 for the mounting and disassembly of the valve 10.
- the minimum diameter internal thread 62-2 of the ring 62 is a bit bigger the maximum external diameter of the 16-1 conical thread.
- the ring 62 is well bent around the base 16 and tight against the C-neck of the cylinder in order to protect the base 16 and prevent its deformation or tearing of the nets in the event of a violent side impact applied to the tap 10 which can cause it to bend or cut at the point of the weakening zone (groove 18).
- the clamping ring 62 can be used in a valve 10 with or without the active flap 52. Instead of the flapper active 52 a non-active valve may be provided, as described above.
- the presence of the clamping ring 62 preventing leakage by the threads around the base 16 is very advantageous in combination with the use of the active check valve 52 or non-active because the benefit obtained by the check valve restraint 52 would be at least partially wiped out if after sectioning of the valve body 12 the contents of the cylinder would be prevented from escaping through the flow passage normal 22 of the base 16 but that a leak would nevertheless be possible around the base 16 by the threads of the base 16 and neck C of the cylinder.
- the construction of the main primary valve 26 and the construction of the check valve 52 are not essential and instead of the particular constructions described previously and shown in the figure for valve 26 and the flap 52, any other embodiment can be provided for the valve 26 and also for the valve 52.
- the ring tightening 62 is placed around the base 16 and screwed on the second net 16-2 until it is in a axial position (indicated by dotted lines at the top of the ring 62 in the single figure) relative to the base 16 in which it does not prevent the application of a couple at the base 16 for the connection of the valve 10 to the cylinder, and after having screwed and tightened the base 16 of the tap 10 in the threaded hole in the neck C of the cylinder by the application of a predetermined tightening torque the ring 62 is tightened against the neck of the cylinder by applying a predetermined torque to the ring 62.

Claims (15)
- Robinet pour récipient de gaz, ou de gaz liquéfié, ou autre fluide, comportant un corps de robinet ayant une partie de corps principale et une embase pourvue d'un premier filet externe pour raccordement du robinet au col d'un récipient de gaz, ou de gaz liquéfié, ou autre fluide,
caractérisé en ce que l'embase du corps de robinet est pourvu d'un second filet externe se trouvant sur l'embase et entre le premier filet et la partie principale du corps, et en ce qu'une bague de serrage pourvue d'un filetage interne est vissée sur le second filet, cette bague de serrage étant adaptée en vue d'être serrée avec un couple défini contre le col du récipient en vue de maintenir l'intégrité et l'étanchéité de l'engagement vissé entre l'embase et le col du récipient en cas d'un choc violent appliqué au corps du robinet. - Robinet selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le second filet a un pas plus fin que le premier filet mais du même sens que celui-ci.
- Robinet selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que le second filet est un filet cylindrique.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que le premier filet est un filet conique et le second filet se trouve du côté de l'extrémité à grand diamètre du filet conique.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que le diamètre de base du second filet est un peu plus grand que le diamètre externe maximal du premier filet.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que la bague est pourvue d'une première partie pourvue du filetage interne dont le diamètre minimal interne est un peu plus grand que le diamètre maximal externe du premier filet et d'une seconde partie dépourvue d'un filetage interne et ayant une surface d'appui pour engager le col du récipient, la seconde partie ayant un diamètre interne qui est un peu plus grand que le diamètre maximal externe du premier filet.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que le corps du robinet a une rainure d'affaiblissement judicieusement placée par rapport à la bague de serrage.
- Robinet selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que la rainure affaiblissement se trouve entre l'embase et la partie principale du corps de robinet approximativement au niveau de l'extrémité de la bague faisant face vers la partie principale du corps de robinet.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé en ce que la bague de serrage a au moins un passage s'étendant à travers l'épaisseur de la bague en vue de la détection d'une fuite entre les filets de l'embase et du col du récipient.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, caractérisé en ce que la surface circonférentielle externe de la bague est pourvue d'une forme, par exemple hexagonale, pour le serrage de la bague par un outil de serrage.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10, caractérisé en ce que le robinet est un robinet du type comportant un ensemble de vanne principale disposé dans la partie de corps principale du robinet.
- Robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 11, caractérisé en ce que le robinet est un robinet du type comportant un ensemble de clapet de retenue monté à l'extrémité libre de l'embase de façon à se trouver à l'intérieur du récipient lorsque le robinet est raccordé au récipient.
- Robinet selon la revendication 12, caractérisé en ce que l'ensemble de vanne principale comporte une vanne à siège inversée et l'ensemble de clapet de retenue est formé en vue d'être ouvert par une partie prolongée de la tige de commande de l'ensemble de vanne principale lorsque cette tige de commande est actionnée pour ouvrir la vanne principale.
- Procédé de raccordement d'un robinet à un récipient de gaz, ou gaz liquéfié, ou autre fluide, le robinet comportant un corps de robinet ayant une partie principale et une embase pourvue d'un premier filet pour raccordement du robinet à un col du récipient, ce procédé étant caractérisé par les étapes suivantes :(a) visser une bague de serrage sur un second filet prévu sur l'embase du corps de robinet entre le premier filet et la partie principale du corps de robinet et placer la bague sur l'embase dans une position dans laquelle elle n'empêche pas l'application d'un couple à l'embase pour le raccordement du robinet au récipient dans l'étape de raccordement suivante ;(b) visser l'embase du corps de robinet dans un trou fileté du col du récipient en engageant le premier filet dans ce trou fileté et serrer l'embase dans le trou du col du récipient par application d'un couple de serrage prédéterminé à l'embase; et(c) serrer la bague contre le col du récipient avec un couple prédéterminé appliqué à la bague en vue de maintenir l'intégrité et l'étanchéité de l'engagement vissé entre l'embase et le col du récipient en cas d'un choc violent appliqué au corps de robinet.
- Utilisation du robinet selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 13 comme robinet de remplissage/soutirage d'un récipient de gaz, de gaz liquéfié, ou autre fluide, comportant un col pourvu d'une ouverture filetée dans laquelle l'embase du robinet est vissée au moyen du premier filet, caractérisée en ce que la bague est serrée au moyen d'un couple prédéterminé contre le col du récipient en vue de maintenir l'intégrité et l'étanchéité de l'engagement vissé entre l'embase et le col du récipient en cas d'un choc violent appliqué au corps de robinet.
