Abstract

A method and device for easily producing a large amount of high- temperature superheated steam from water are provided. Use is made of a superheated steam producing device comprising a sleeve (1) of heat-resistant material having a water jet introducing hole at one end (1a) and a spout port (3) for superheated steam at the other end (1b), an exciting coil (5) wound around the outer periphery of the sleeve (1), air-permeable heating subject bodies (4) of electrically conductive material charged into the sleeve (1). Water is spouted into the sleeve from one end (1a) of the sleeve (1) charged with the air-permeable heating subject bodies (4) of electrically conductive material, and then the air-permeable heating subject bodies (4) charged into the sleeve (1) are subjected to high frequency induction heating, whereby high-temperature superheated steam is spouted in large quantities from the spout port (3) in the other end (1b) of the sleeve (1).
