Due to the nature and the round shape of the particle 1, upon impact the particle 1 rolls along the surface, rubbing the surface and absorbing the coating 3 onto a surface of the particle. This has the net effect of removing the coating from the surface without causing any damage to the surface.
- Production of insoluble calcium carbonate particles is carried out by providing free Ca ++ in a liquid with a PH over 7 by dissolving calcium oxide in water.
- One specific method includes the steps of dissolving apatite in nitric acid (Nitric Acid Method) .

- Calcium nitrate crystals are then separated from the thus-formed slurry by centrifugation or filtration.

Abstract
L'invention concerne une composition de traitement dentaire qui contient un agent granulé d'effacement, les granules qui constituent l'agent d'effacement étant dimensionnés pour rouler sur une surface. Les particules ont un diamètre maximum moyen compris entre 30 et 1000 microns et comprennent un précipité de carbonate de calcium. Etant donné que les granules sont sphériques, quand ils sont appliqués sur une surface dentaire, ils roulent sur la surface, absorbant les débris, taches, plaque, tartre ou similaires déposés sur la surface sans endommager la surface dentaire. L'invention concerne également un procédé de traitement des dents qui utilise une composition de traitement dentaire selon l'invention.
