Definitions

  • the invention relates to a helmet, in particular a bicycle helmet, as used for example for the protection of his head by a cyclist.
  • a protective helmet has a shock-absorbing material, such as in particular plastic material, existing body.
  • the main body can be covered from the outside by a decorative shell.
  • the helmet is circumferentially attached to the head of the person wearing the helmet with a headband.
  • the existing in the back of the head two ends of the headband are held together by a transversely elongated adjustment.
  • the two ends of the headband can be moved toward one another more or less, thereby changing the circumferential length of the headband.
  • the adjusting device is actuated by means of a centrally located on her knob. In the knob, a tail light can be integrated. The rear light can be switched on and off by pressing on the optically translucent rear cover of the rotary knob.
  • the existing in the backlight as a light emitting diode is switched by pushing the elastically deformable lid of the tail light.
  • a corresponding flat, disk-shaped shape having lid makes it difficult to recognize the rear light from the direction of the longitudinal direction of the helmet lateral directions.
  • the present invention seeks to provide a helmet equipped with an improved taillight.
  • the helmet in particular bicycle helmet, that two taillight arrangements are each present in the transverse direction off-center on its adjusting device.
  • One of these two taillight arrangements is present in one and the other of these two taillight arrangements in the other lateral end region of the adjusting device.
  • the adapting to the head shape adjustment is pressing the helmet wearing on the back of the head of the person wearing the helmet.
  • the adjusting device thus has a curved shape.
  • Each of the two side taillights may include a single tail light and the tail light in question may include a single light source such as a light emitting diode.
  • the respective end region of the adjusting device may be formed, for example, as a hollow body for receiving the printed circuit board, the lighting means and the electrical storage.
  • the end region has the fastening device for the headband, which can be designed in particular as an eyelet.
  • the circuit board can be used loosely in the housing for the purpose of easy mounting of the taillight assembly.
  • a third taillight can also be provided centrally on the adjusting device.
  • This third tail light can also be operated with flashing or continuous light. As a flashing light, it preferably has a different flashing frequency from the other taillights.
  • This third, present in the middle of the adjusting taillight assembly may be integrated at the centrally present on the adjusting actuator.
  • This actuator can, as known per se in the art, be designed as a rotary knob.
  • Fig. 1 shows the head 10 of a cyclist who is protected with a helmet 12.
  • a decorative shell 14 which largely covers a base body 16 from above and outside, consists of a flexible, thin plastic material.
  • the main body 16 is made of a shock-absorbing plastic material.
  • a headband 28 which is relatively soft squeezable and thereby allows a comfortable and yet tight fit of the helmet to the head 10.
  • the two ends 27, 29 of the headband 28 are attached to the two lateral ends of an adjustment device 18, which has a transversely elongated, flat-fitting 20 to the head 10 shape.
  • the adjusting device 18 has a transversely extending 20 flat material strip 30, on the center of a knob 32 is formed projecting.
  • two lateral slide members 34, 36 each designed as a toothed rack, can be laterally moved away from the rotary knob 32 in the transverse direction 20 or moved together onto the rotary knob 32.
  • this displacement of the two slide parts 34, 36 is effected by a gear which can be rotated by means of the rotary knob 32 in one or the other direction of rotation. This gear meshes with the formed on the slide parts 34, 36 rack sections.
  • a switching member 80 protrudes downwards, which is surrounded by a plastic tube 82.
  • this switching element 80 comes into contact with the circuit 66.
  • the LED 64 is switched, that is, either turned on or off.
