Abstract

Eine Schutzabdeckung (6) zur Verwendung an einem Handwerkzeuggerät (2), wie insbesondere einem Winkelschleifer weist ein Grundelement (8) zum teilweisen Abdecken eines motorisch, insbesondere rotatorisch, angetriebenen Werkzeuges (5) des Handwerkzeuggerätes (2) und ein an dem Grundelement (8) bewegbar gehaltenes Abschirmelement (10) auf, mit dem zusätzlich zum Grundelement (8) eine Abschirmfläche zum zumindest teilweisen Abschirmen einer bedienenden Person gegen Feststoffpartikel, wie Funken und Stäube, herstellbar ist, die durch das angetriebene Werkzeug (5) abgetragen und beschleunigt werden, und das gegenüber dem Grundelement (8) zwischen einer eingerückten Position mit minimaler zusätzlicher Abschirmfläche und einer ausgerückten Position mit maximaler zusätzlicher Abschirmfläche bewegbar ist. Es ist vorgesehen, dass die zusätzliche Abschirmfläche des Abschirmelementes (10) eine in Abhängigkeit von der Position des Abschirmelementes (10) gegenüber dem Grundelement (8) verstellbare Abschirmungsbreite (BS) aufweist, die in der eingerückten Position geringer ist als in der ausgerückten Position.
