- This detail further enhances the locks' security because, even in the hypothetical event that the thief manages to turn the cylinder 16 by overcoming the resistance presented by the interlocking of the teeth 36, 38, the circular-section portion 42 of the nose 30 would rotate idly inside the slot 44 and could not therefore produce any movement in the operating member 28.
