Claims (17)

  1. Procédé de réduction de la teneur en nicotine et en chlorure des feuilles de tabac (Nicotiana tabacum) comprenant les étapes suivantes consistant à :
    a) sécher et faner les feuilles ;
    b) extraire les feuilles séchées avec un solvant ou un mélange de solvants ;
    c) re-sécher les feuilles extraites ;
    d) éliminer les nervures.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le solvant est choisi parmi le méthanol, l'éthanol, le propanol, l'isopropanol, l'acétone, l'éthylèneglycol, l'eau ou les mélanges de ceux-ci ; consistant éventuellement aussi à ajuster le pH avec des solutions tampons.
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 2, dans lequel le solvant est l'éthanol.
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 3, dans lequel le mélange de solvants est un mélange éthanol/eau avec une force comprise entre 20 ° et 80 °.
  5. Procédé selon la revendication 4, dans lequel le mélange a une force de 50°.
  6. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans lequel le rapport en poids entre le tabac et le mélange de solvants est compris entre 1:5 et 1:30.
  7. Procédé selon la revendication 6, dans lequel le rapport en poids entre le tabac et le mélange de solvants est de 1:16.
  8. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, dans lequel l'extraction est réalisée pendant une durée comprise entre 3 et 16 heures.
  9. Procédé selon la revendication 8, dans lequel l'extraction est réalisée pendant 8 heures.
  10. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, dans lequel la température d'extraction est comprise entre 20 et 80 °C.
  11. Procédé selon la revendication 10, dans lequel la température d'extraction est de 60 °C.
  12. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 11, dans lequel l'extraction est réalisée de 1 à 5 fois.
  13. Procédé selon la revendication 12, dans lequel l'extraction est réalisée 1 fois.
  14. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 13, dans lequel les feuilles sont re-séchées sous vide.
  15. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 13, dans lequel les feuilles sont re-séchées pendant 36 à 48 heures.
  16. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 15, dans lequel les feuilles sont re-séchées à la température de 35 °C.
  17. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 16, dans lequel on utilise des feuilles de tabac Virginia Bright.
