  • the rollers may include a rabber or other resilient layer so that the raised portion or cutting portion 208 of the chemical etched die 206 does not become damaged when being fed through the rollers of the roller press 406.
  • Fig. 5 illustrates the method of making the thin die, which includes the steps of providing a sheet of flat stock material that may be a spring steel with a 45 high hardness or HRC rating.
  • the steel material is cleaned to remove dirt and oils from the steel surfaces.
  • the steel material is also degreased to remove the grease from the steel sheet stock material.
  • the steel sheet stock is then water rinsed to remove any degreasing material on the steel surfaces.
  • the steel material then may be acid rinsed to further remove any grease or other particles on the surfaces of the steel material.

Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un emporte-pièce mince apte à être utilisé dans une presse. L'emporte-pièce selon l'invention comporte une base ou portion de support assurant un rigidité à l'ensemble de filière. La base comporte une entaille définissant une bordure autour d'un bord périphérique de la base. Un emporte-pièce mince est logé dans l'entaille de la base et l'emporte-pièce mince est collé à l'encoche de la base au moyen d'un adhésif. L'emporte-pièce mince est positionné dans l'entaille de la base de sorte que des portions en relief de l'emporte-pièce mince font face au côté opposé de l'entaille dans la base pour permettre la découpe par l'emporte-pièce mince d'un matériau en feuille. Une mousse d'éjection est collée du côté des portions en relief de l'emporte-pièce mince au moyen d'un adhésif de sorte que la mousse d'éjection protège la partie en relief de l'emporte-pièce mince et fournit un moyen d'éjection de la forme découpée hors du matériau en feuille. L'invention a également trait un système d'emporte-pièce et de presse mettant en oeuvre l'emporte-pièce mince de l'invention. Le système comporte une presse de découpage, qui peut être une presse de découpage à platine et une presse de découpage à rouleau. La presse de découpage comporte un bloc de coupe permettant la découpe par l'emporte-pièce à travers matériau en feuille et sa pénétration dans le bloc de coupe, dans le cas d'une presse de découpage à platine. Le système comporte en outre un emporte-pièce mince adapté à être utilisé avec une presse de découpage. L'emporte-pièce mince comporte une portion de base, une portion d'emporte-pièce mince, et une portion de mousse d'éjection, dans lequel la portion de base et la portion de mousse d'éjection enserre la portion d'emporte-pièce mince entre elles de sorte que l'emporte-pièce mince est disposé dans une entaille située dans la base et est collé à la base au moyen d'un adhésif. En outre, la mousse d'éjection est collée à la portion d'emporte-pièce mince de manière à protéger les portions en relief de la portion de l'emporte-pièce mince. La mousse d'éjection protège les portions en relief de la portion d'emporte-pièce mince et sert de moyen d'éjection pour l'éjection des formes découpées hors du matériau en feuille.
